Servus,ist mir auch so gegangen. 1 Zahn abgebrochen und Lippe nähen müssen.....3 Tage vor der Hochzeit. 👍 Hatte auch das Visier unten,aber das hilft nichts. Leider ziehen die gelben Keile am besten.....nimm Sie jetzt nur noch zum nachsetzen, wenn mindestens die Hälfte in den Stamm geht.
@Günter Schöne da bringt drr sicht schutz auch nichts das kommt mit Geschwindigkeiten angeflogen und mit einer krafft so das der schutz nach hinten gebogen wird. Aber eig. haste recht aber naja EDIT: Und auserdem er hatt einen mit schutz an

Instead of getting mad at his equipment, a professional might think of using the broken piece or making a wooden wedge & reshaping the top or wedge cuts. It looks like you had some limb entanglement. If aim around the other partially cut tree is important, a better wedge cut & top cut will improve timing, & a keyed hinge cut, in addition to the jack will improve aim. And having someone close to the fall line in this complicated felling seems unwise. (~1/3 of the posted felling fails!) Thanks for the reminders. Glad your tree did not slide or kick back into you.

In that regard, I think that in general you want to be paying more attention to cleaning up your scarfs, and then maintaining good hinge wood.
You are a lucky professional lumber jack. You do not, not ever, stand in line with the jack. I watched another of your videos ten minutes ago and you scared the bejebbers out of me on that one too. If the jack is not coming back into your face to kill you,,, then the tree will. Set the jack, tension it, set the wedges, drive them firm. But as soon as the weight of the tree favours the direction of intended fall, go back to the saw and cut deeper toward your notch. Two results,, you only use as much tension, hydraulic pressure , as is require to do the job,,,, excess is dangerous,, always. Annnnndd , you are now to the side and can RUN. Barber chairs are also a normal result of hydraulic tension,,,,, and a barber's chair is going to kick any way it wants to,,, back or either side.... Cut from the side and run. Never behind. Stop scaring me.
"Barber Chairs" (i hate these weird terms, they maks no sense) are very uncommon with spruce and even less so in the alps where the trees geow even slower and have therefor smaller yearrings.

Wenn er den Heber gleich hätte nehmen wollen hätte er den gleich mit da gehabt und sich nicht erst bringen lassen. Ja er hätte den abgebrochenen Keil nochmal nehmen können aber wenn man sieht, wie weit er mit dem Heber drücken musste, sieht man, dass da auch zwei Keile für den Winkel nicht gereicht hätten.
Rod MaGee There is numerous things going wrong, starting from the very first cut. Always do vertical cut first, then horizontal when making the front triangle. Front cut too narrow and too deep. This is painful to watch. Just total mess. Scary. Not even decent amateur level. Just tools and random sawing with no control of depth and distance, tools flying around. I hope none tries to learn from these videos 🥶
Plastikkeile haben schon ihre Berechtigung. Aber diese gelben Oregonkeile sind der letzte Müll. Ich hab noch keinen Plastikkeil kaputtgehauen, aber der Oregonkeil ist am zweiten Baum durchgebrochen.
First thing first throw that axe in a lake. Poor choice for banging wedges. Your face cuts are to deep. Make back cut first tighten wedges then face cut. Make sure and leave room to get saw back in back cut. Finish back cut, tap over... 28 or 32 inch bar is safer and faster when side hilling. Get a straight handle rafting axe at least 4 lbs.
You appeared to cut too deeply into the hinge, then wasted time while the tree was unstable and put the jack in too far. If you feel the need to use a jack, keep it as near to the outside as possible, otherwise you could easily shear the hinge whilst lifting the tree vertically then it'll fall in any direction.
mossturn01 Exactly, I was scared he rips that hinge in end when it was 30 degrees bent, and he was still using jack. Damn tree would have been on his lap. RIP

The tree was at it's max lift so no matter how much he pounded, the wedges didn't go in, so when he hit it a bit sideways it broke and the force of the hit threw it back in the direction the force came from.

Nah, it's not really as important nowadays since saws have an inertial chain brake + low kickback chains and sprocket nose bars don't really have the same kickback the old timer ones with a solid nose had. I don't wrap my left thumb around either because the saw doesn't slide grips as easy and i've had kickbacks with none being strong enough to throw the saw at me.
@@zombiefighterof1987 you must not be using a big saw. No pro logger is going to use low kick back chain. A sprocket nose does nothing to decrease kickback. Both thumbs MUST be wrapped around the grips.
Yeah, my MS462 is an absolutely tiny saw. I also have a 550XP with an X-CUT low kick back chain, you must not have logged much beech if you think noone uses low kick back chain.
@@zombiefighterof1987 big saw. But its no 660 or 394. Iv seen a 394 go flying 30+feet because of kickback. It is SILLY not to wrap your thumb and against all proper work procedures. I dislocated my thumb REALLY bad with a 372 W/32" bar and full house chain that was not aggressive at all. I was lucky i didnt rip my tendons in my hand. Like...REALLY lucky. Wouldn't have been an issue if my thumbs where wrapped as they should have been. Do as.you please...you are your own man. But please don't tell people you don't have to.
