Diving with a Whale shark - Koh Rong, Cambodia

I was lucky, this Whale shark stayed with us for almost 10 minutes! The dive site was Koh Prins, a small island 2,5 hours from Koh Rong (Cambodia) and this dive was just amazing!

I and some friends are going to Koh Rong, this Dec-Jan 2014/2015. Can you tell me where I might be able to see this for myself? Was there a tour group or someone to talk too? Any insight would be most helpful, thank you my friend and thank you for posting the video!

Whale sharks are found in most coastal waters around the world… even though they’re endangered, they’re especially common in Southeast Asia, including Cambodian waters! They’re found all throughout the Coral Triangle, from the Philippines down to Australia, west to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, all over Indonesia, past Singapore and through to Andaman and Nicobar, India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Pakistan, Iran and Persian Gulf, to the Red Sea… so yes definitely in Cambodia. Lol.

I just took the boat from Sihanoukville to Koh Rong. On Koh Rong there is just one dive shop. But in fact, I was very lucky that I saw this Whale Shark during my dive on the dive site Koh Prins. Maybe if you ask them and the weather conditions are good, you are lucky too ;-)
