So when things changed all of a sudden, naturally the viewers is going to start asking questions or the rumor mill will have a momentum. So Donna did right with her viewers. When you are upfront and honest, you gain respect and credibility. On the other hand, channels/vlogs can be made private if it is indeed for personal consumption.

He boasted that he could earn 10k dollars a month doing his job which was checking utility poles. That's when I realised he was a know it all, bullshitter, and everything he has said or done since has only reinforced that belief

No worries Donna. I can understand why things are this way. It's not really ideal for you and Ella to always live at the construction site. You wanted a place where you can just relax and give Ella some normality, and you a bit of peace of mind. I too hope that the next house you build will be your forever home, instead of having to sell it to keep the business going. I'm hoping that after the the sell of this house, the business will be stable enough to run on its own. I prefer watching your content, just like before.. Although I am a Civil Engineer too and the owner of my own firm, I often times want to watch videos which would make me feel relaxed, considering I am into technical matters the whole day.. Glad I found this channel..

Now I know why The Armstrong Family vlog was so entertaining. It’s because you injected a lot of humor and quirkiness into it that made it so entertaining. Seeing you as a family growing together in the business held my interest. Even the dogs and Ella running around and just having a good time was the human aspect that held it together. Now it’s become so technical that I just fast forward and skip the vlog altogether. Don’t get me wrong, Richard’s explanation about construction is helpful but it’s just me, I can only take so much of the tech talk.

@@jeanettedias64I agree with you. Overweight kids become OW teens then OW adults. I had a neighbor whose child was OW (from below 10 yrs old). Throughout her teenage years, she was also OW. She did lose a lil weight while in college. But now that she has graduated and is now working, she's gained back the weight. It's extremely hard to lose weight as a teen/ adult and parents should monitor their kid's weight as early as possible.

Dont believe it! Twice they have built their dream home, only to sell them both. Any man worth his salt would provide a decent home for his family. The first build doesn't have to be the dream home, but it could have been a cosy, home whilst building houses for sale. The know it all Richard, who had no construction skills when he arrived in the Philippines, but now considers himself a master architect and builder, has got what he wanted from marrying a Filipina and now they have been discarded. Watch this space!
I think Donna is from the Visayas and all her family lives there. They might go back to that area in the future. Construction is a full time job and stressful in the beginning but later as the company grows they will have more time with family. After maybe a dozen built they can improve the construction techniques and build one for the family. One day they will have a nice house. I myself moved to my second house and sold the first one. Once you get older you downsize and get rid of the junk you hoarded. I have stuff and tools i haven’t used for 10 or more years. I have donated & sold most of it and still have to get rid of accumulated stuff in my garage and storage shed.
Richard replied to a comment like yours in his channel. He said that it was Donna's decision to sell the first home where he was happy and content. It was also Donna's decision to sell the 2nd home which is the 2 story home. We don't know the full story so we can't make judgments on their decisions. I just pray if there's any marital conflict between them that they'll be able to work it out somehow.

I stopped watching your vlog on your armstrong family channel when it got to a point where it was all about construction and the element of family life, step-daughter and step- father relationship waned off. Richard should have created his own yt channel focused on construction and just let the Armstrong Channel a family oriented kind of vlog. Look at you and Ella. Have all youe efforts putting up with Richard paid off?

Now I know why The Armstrong Family vlog was so entertaining. It’s because you injected a lot of humor and quirkiness into it that made it so entertaining. Seeing you as a family growing together in the business held my interest. Even the dogs and Ella running around and just having a good time was the human aspect that held it together. Now it’s become so technical that I just fast forward and skip the vlog altogether. Don’t get me wrong, Richard’s explanation about construction is helpful but it’s just me, I can only take so much of the tech talk.

I for one definitely prefer these types of videos, I also enjoyed the building videos on your other channel but when every video turned into a commercial for tools I had to unsubscribe. Hopefully your new channel doesn’t go in the same direction.

@@jeanettedias64I agree with you. Overweight kids become OW teens then OW adults. I had a neighbor whose child was OW (from below 10 yrs old). Throughout her teenage years, she was also OW. She did lose a lil weight while in college. But now that she has graduated and is now working, she's gained back the weight. It's extremely hard to lose weight as a teen/ adult and parents should monitor their kid's weight as early as possible.
Keep all your negative comments about weight to yourself, none asked you for your thoughts.

Dont believe it! Twice they have built their dream home, only to sell them both. Any man worth his salt would provide a decent home for his family. The first build doesn't have to be the dream home, but it could have been a cosy, home whilst building houses for sale. The know it all Richard, who had no construction skills when he arrived in the Philippines, but now considers himself a master architect and builder, has got what he wanted from marrying a Filipina and now they have been discarded. Watch this space!
Let's just pretend they got their fair share/cut of things they build and invest, let's expect the unexpected and move on.
I think Donna is from the Visayas and all her family lives there. They might go back to that area in the future. Construction is a full time job and stressful in the beginning but later as the company grows they will have more time with family. After maybe a dozen built they can improve the construction techniques and build one for the family. One day they will have a nice house. I myself moved to my second house and sold the first one. Once you get older you downsize and get rid of the junk you hoarded. I have stuff and tools i haven’t used for 10 or more years. I have donated & sold most of it and still have to get rid of accumulated stuff in my garage and storage shed.
Richard replied to a comment like yours in his channel. He said that it was Donna's decision to sell the first home where he was happy and content. It was also Donna's decision to sell the 2nd home which is the 2 story home. We don't know the full story so we can't make judgments on their decisions. I just pray if there's any marital conflict between them that they'll be able to work it out somehow.
