I'll try. Lol forgive me if it's a bit vague. I made this tesla coil by just copying a random schematic from Google with a few minor differences. Mainly the Ballast, The MOSFET, The Diode, The Capacitor, and the Two coils. Btw i bought all of my components from local electronic shops cuz i hate online shopping. Ballast: Unlike what the schematic shown where two Fluorescent Lamp Ballasts in parallel were used to LIMIT the current. I instead used two 100w incandescent bulbs in series because i can't seem to find those ballasts and they're probably expensive. MOSFET: Instead of an IRFP450, i went for the superior IRFP460 cuz the 450 doesn't even exist where i lived at. Diode: Virtually all shops i've visited never has a single Ultra Fast type diode. So, i went for the 10a10 diode which works flawlessly. Capacitor: From pure curiosity and a bit of experimentation, i've discovered that less capacitance will make the arcs bigger. So, i went for three 630v 0.27uF Polypropylene Caps (3 0.27uF caps = 1 0.81uF Cap tank). Primary & Secondary Coils: The Secondary consists of 600ish turns of 'i forgot gauge or probably 26 awg' of magnet wire in a 3.5 in wide 13.5 in long PVC pipe. And the primary is just whatever, 5 turns of generic stranded wire. And pretty much the rest is exactly from the schematic. So, yeah that's it. Works like a charm! Also, but careful if you wanna make one. I don't wanna see someone like you dying from this.
