You have no idea the perfect timing of this vlog ❤ and def small town gal I live in Toronto and wanna leave the city to enjoy a big backyard nature walks by the lake potentially etc 😊
💙 I love how open and honest you are about your family. I feel like it isn't talked about as much, but it should be because that's the reality of life. I had to cut out some of my family members and I never felt so free. Thank you for being vulnerable with us, Zoe. We love you!
Just wanted to drop a comment that I'm the person that needed to hear that update on your mom, thank you for sharing! 💙 I've been holding a lot of resentment and avoiding talking with my parents for almost 4 years now and I realize I haven't done a good job at communicating my boundaries and it's a conversation I just keep procrastinating. I've talked it all out with my therapist, now I just have to do the job. You reminded me that although I'm comfortable being avoidant, I'll feel so much better on the other side. 💙☁
omg yes!! sending you my support to do what you need to do 💖💖 i swear once we do the things we're putting off, especially heavy emotional things, we feel so free. love you!!
Ive started my healing journey at 42, Watching you at 28 doing this journey makes me somehow wonder how different my life would have been if I had taken my time to heal … but well , I guess my need to heal came when I became a mother and I couldn’t give my best being so broken . I love your videos , thanks for sharing :)
Your vlog today brought me comfort right now, I was feeling depressed and in pain because of my migraine. Your vlog calmed me down a long with listening to you talk and showing Bromont was comforting and relaxing 🩵 Thank you for bringing us to Bromont with you today 💙
I'm from Ottawa, and I lived in Montreal for six years. I am now back in Ottawa, renting! Everything you're saying about city vs suburb vs small town is so on point and something I think about every day... it's so hard to plan for the future without knowing which reality will make you the happiest, plus factoring future kids into the equation... I loved hearing your thoughts on this! Thank you for sharing
So many thoughts after this video!! First of all, I loved the house window shopping because my friends and I do it all the time. I’m planning on doing the opposite of your path - I live in a small town an hour away from a huge city and want to move there - and every time we see a building or house we like, we say, “I want to live here.” Also, just providing my insight on what you shared at the end (as a licensed therapist) - it’s completely OK to decide for yourself where your boundaries will lie. In fact, a good therapist/patient relationship means being able to share that with your therapist and not have them push back for something harsher. The way I see therapy (and the particular approach I follow), the goal is to help the patient use logic and come to these decisions themselves, like you did. Therapy is not about giving advice on which decision to make, but about providing the necessary tools for them to make those decisions on their own and feel confident about it. It seems like you’ve reached that point, and there’s nothing wrong with that!💙
Driving out into the county/country like setting agreed with you. It instantly reminded me of my backroad excursions I do every week intentionally. It has been a pleasure sitting in my dining room hanging onto your every word. I can relate. Going from early twenties to nearly thirty teaches you a lot. You've created a great path for yourself. Keep the self-love up and remain optimistic at all costs.
Zoe - it's so relevant talking about moving to a small town and things you've learned about yourself after reflecting on getting older, lifestyle changes (aka Maggie), and thinking long-term as part of your healing diaries. Moving to and living in a small town is challenging for a lot of people (IMO) because there is less "buzz" --- fewer distractions. The reality is it often takes less time to do daily or weekly tasks, and in some cases there is less access (e.g. arts & culture like concerts, shopping, public transportation, gyms and workout classes, even food). With that said, I love it because it forced me to hone in on my hobbies, work on creating community (volunteering, connecting), and slowing down. I'm about 15 years older, and even still, I love following your journey. It doesn't end even at my age.❤
Hearing you talk about your mom really helped me realize a few things. I also always had that kind of relationship with mine where we were either fighting all the time or were super close. I am currently pregnant with my first baby and I want him to have a grandmother, I don’t want to cut ties… 💙💙💙
Zoe your vlogs makes me so calm and peaceful, Thank you so so so much for making such a wonderful beautiful vlogs for us and I will always be your supportive🥹💫💗💖
Also I really echo your vibe about not liking a suburb because of the driving to a drive-thru analogy, since moving from a cute area to a suburb (while there are some perks) the biggest shock was the driving to the grocery store and parking in a huge parking lot vibe like I REALLY miss grabbing groceries on the way home from somewhere in my little tote bags but I can't do that here!
Zoe, when we dream about something, it’s the first step to achieve it. Not everything in our life will be possible, for sure, but to believe in something somehow can be the fuel that you need to at least try. Loved this healing diaries. ❤️🔥 Also, what a deep talk about forgiving and healing. It was amazing, the message sure found me.
👗very nice video, loved the scenery! I really enjoy st bruno though, the houses near le mont are amazing. Kinda cried hearing you talk about your family, very moving...nice to see you're in good terms with your mom, heals the heart. You'll get your dream house filled with kids one day🙏
Love the chat about family! My parents separated and were never officially married when I was young too so I completely relate to feeling like not having the perfect family like everyone else!
I've also been contemplating moving somewhere quieter and debating suburb vs. small town, so this vlog is so relevant to me! And I ~love~ the healing diaries, and the negative comment is probably just someone who doesn't know how to handle their own difficult emotions. Pleeeease keep posting!!
Blueberry 💙 Hi Zoe, it’s so nice to see you and hear about your journey. We went to University together and it’s really cool to see how we’ve all grown into our individual paths! I too went through a lot of similar changes over the years from adapting to the new way of living/working during the Covid, to making major career changes, and finally yearning for a change of scenery from the city post-covid. I love Bromont, I spent the winter there in 2019. It is a beautiful town with the warmest people and it boasts great dining options during the ski season. I hope you continue to follow your dreams. Love, T.
Loved this video🙌 I know it's hard but please don't let negative comments affect you too much. So many of us love your honest and real videos, also I don't think they are negative at all! And life can't be all rainbows and sunshine after all, so...🙏💕
i’m so grateful for you for opening up and being raw about all these topics, especially about your family -i’ve been wanting to do this more in my videos too because i feel like not enough people do this on youtube so thank you for being so inspiring 💕
You'll be living your dream life so soon you won't even notice when it happened! 🧥🐦🫐 We get so caught up in our own limiting beliefs we forget to live and enjoy our everyday life and to dream big like we did when we were kids.. and that's so sad. So i encourage this day trip of yours so much! You should definitely do this type of videos more often 💙
Zoe, I relate to so much of what you said in this video! I grew up in Montreal and also witnessed all the good and the bad that comes with living in a big city. I remember someone once telling me they were scared of taking the metro because that wasn’t the norm for them growing up, and I also felt grateful that for me, it was something I didn’t have to think about twice. With that being said, I eventually moved to Brossard when I reached my late 20s. I was tired of the traffic and the noise. As my priorities changed, I didn’t feel the needs to be constantly be around the hustle and bustle. I’ve never regretted it. With Quartier Dix30 & all the newer developments, it still kind of feels like a city lol. Now, 5 years later, I crave moving to a smaller town too. More peaceful & more affordable. I guess time will tell 😊 Great video as always ❤️ Thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing your journey with us. You are always so relatable & your videos brighten my day 💫
My mom is from west Virginia, but I was born and raised in South Florida, USA. I would love to live near mountains and be able to have my kids experience all seasons. My parents have been together for 25 years but have not progressed in life. I am blessed to be here but they are not good for each other. My parents are definitely people i love but don't look up to and it breaks my heart every time. The messaged resonated with me because of my father and I have that toxic relationship. Boundaries are hard but worth your mental health. Thank you for being vulnerable because it feels warm and like a friend.
You have to check out Val-David! It’s one of my favourite little towns in Quebec and only a 50 min drive from Montreal. They have cute cafes, bike paths, and a gorgeous river! Like you, I’ve been day dreaming about leaving Mtl and living in small and peaceful town. Val-David has been my fav so far. I’ll have to check out Bromont next!
🩵 thank you for talking about your relationship with your parents! I went through something very similar and it’s really nice to know I am not alone in feeling that way. I too have decided on forgiveness and like you said, it is a weight off your chest. Thank you for your videos! 💕
Great video I love off island, the city with the dramatic bridge situation, and come from the burbs. I work downtown so I get my dose of the city during the day and get more quiet at home. I get how you feel. Keep healing and dreaming 💕
You would love Ste-Rose in Laval. Old Ste-rose is so peacefull and walkable. Has cute coffee, ice cream and bagel shops. Yes houses are expensive but you pay for the location (close to mtl) and the small town feel. I live very close to Ste-Rose and we go all the time. It's the best of both worlds + you have good public transportation.
I love going to look at home! AND....it's the perfect way to manifest your home. Every home I have owned has come to me this way (even when I did not think I could afford it)
Zoe ❤ is loved this video! This is 100% me. I always thought i‘d be this girl boss living in a city making bank. The reality is - i did that and was miserable! I recently quit my job (your journey inspired me to be selfemployed) and want to move to the countryside once i have enough money saved up! Thank you for being so vulnerable and real with us! Much love from Switzerland ❤
Oh and btw, regarding suburbs: Ile des sœurs is amazing and literally feels like you‘re far from the city but you‘re downtown in no time and traffic is ok!! Or Lachine, with the canal and so many cute parks ❤
I really loved what you said Zoe about healing your family bonds and that you managed to overcome things from the past. We all think that our family is crazy and that everybody else has a perfect one so you sharing your story really helps. You have a beautiful vision for your future and I share your thoughts on the fact that family is the most important thing in life. Family love.
Wonderful video!! :) Loved your strategy of conquering your limiting beliefs. This is so powerful! And what a cute town. I live in Ottawa and have been to Montreal many times but never to Bromont! The only thing I disagreed with you about is when you said buying coffees doesn't add up to that much money. People spend on average about 2k a year on purchasing their daily caffeinated beverage at a coffee shop. I feel like when we get a handle on all of these small but not necessary purchases, we can probably find a spare 5-10K to save and invest. But I'm loving this series and look forward to the next one!
If you love small towns, I really enjoyed North Hatley, Venise en Québec and Lac Brome. They’re such pretty and charming places, really recommend a visit!
Cities are great to visit but a drain to live! I moved to a smaller city just outside the GTA and my one piece of advice is that the transition has taken me 1-2 years to get use to not living in the city. Completely mental, like I'm somehow less important of a person for not living in a central place Buttt.... my anxiety is so much better. The pace of life is slower, no traffic, green space. Unfortunately the homelessness is still a concern here :( I think its a more recent problem.
Hi! I wanted to recommend you a small city near St-Bruno (20mins) which is SO cute. I don’t know if you have heard of Beloeil, especially the Old Beloeil, but it’s soooo cute and there’s a few cute cafes, boutiques, restaurants, etc. and it’s near a cute mountain and a river. Fall time there is so cozy! If you need a guide, I can be your girl, I live there! Just a little recommendation:)
The south shore drive is sooo nice, totally get the impulse to move to the country - moved out of the west island to the laurentians and it’s so much more peaceful out here
🦋 fellow “I’ll never be able to buy a house” girlie. But sometimes it’s all about the timing that’s right for you. For example we live in Colorado with a high cost of living. 2 years ago the market slowed down and I was able to sell my car for a crazy profit (bc used car prices were inflated and I was WFH so my partner and I could handle being a one car household). Those 2 conditions set us up to build up our down payment and get our dream first home at a fair price with no competition. That timing might not have worked for anyone else but us. Also, there’s a saying “marry the house, date the interest rate” aka don’t let the current rates scare you or delay your plans. They always change and are temporary, but the home is forever!
GIRL! im from Montreal and I feel you 100% im so burn out and tired of seing poverty and drugs and traffic, it's chaotic!! My dream is Hudson or Magog lol let's do it! Bromont is too white and French for me... (I'm french lol)
I've always wanted to live in Bromont when I was younger, it's beautiful!!! I'm from the Saint-Hyacinthe area :) Mont-Saint-Hilaire and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu are also really nice.
I love this video! I put a lot of thought into where I wanted to live when I moved to Texas. I picked a large town (Keller) around 45k outside of Ft Worth. I can ride my bike anywhere and walk to the coffee shops and restaurants. It has a village feel, like when I walk into my local brewery everyone shouts my name! 😅 if I want city I can take the train to Ft Worth or Dallas! Once rates go down I’m sure you’ll be able to find something really cute that you can call home! ❤
🩵 Thank you for the conversation about your mom. I can relate a lot. Also thank you for the reminder to look ahead into the future in a positive light, and for the reminder to fantasize about what we want. 🩵
I was pretty busy at office but still couldn't stop watching this one till the end (extending my lunch break lol), and ended up subscribing too (something I have rarely been doing over the years), so this goes as a massive kudos to your work, Zoe. Your honesty and purity is heart warming. Also, I feel the USP of your videos is really the simplicity and comfort it brings to people, which is evident from the comments too. As your well-wisher, if I may suggest something. As much as your subscribers love every minute of the videos, but for your sake won't it be more fruitful to break down the videos into 2 parts of 20ish minutes and upload them separately, say on consecutive or alternative days..? so that your monetization and engagement with audience increases over the same efforts in filming and editing..? so like instead of putting 1 or 2 videos in a week of 40ish mins, you can put twice the amount of videos per week of half length? I imagine this may help your channel grow faster as the frequency of uploads does help people big time from what I've heard. And also, you'll have to worry less about planning what to show and talk for every video.? I sincerely wish to see you hit the mark of 100k subs asap
I’m from Jamaica. I’ve lived in the city and the country there before moving to small town Gainesville FL. Now I live in the country north of Gainesville with my husband, 2 chiweenies and 46 chickens! I love the country but I also like city life sometimes. ❤
Omg new video! Before i watch it i have to comment. I love your LL Bean Boat and Tote bag so much, i watched your latest videos several times looking at the bag and I just had to get it! I got the small with the regular handle just like you, and in a khaki color. So excited! Paying 24€ for shipping ugh but oh well…🎉❤ I think this will be an investment piece that will remain a bag for years to come!
🪺Thank you for the wonderful video. Here is a comment of blue eggs in a nest. My husband and I both love cities, love love love, he proposed to me in New York. We have moved to a house in the suburbs and we really love it. Its the suburbs of a city in Europe and we have squirrels, foxes and even a deer sometimes in our garden. It is magic. I am rooting for you Zoe, good things are coming!
🔹🔷🔹25:05 -> Yes, Zoe! This is exactly why I’m moving back to Mississauga. As someone in the military, I’ve been forced to experience that life in small towns and suburbs for years now, and honestly, nothing compares to the convenience of city living. Being able to walk everywhere for errands or commutes, and stopping by one of a thousand cafes along the way, makes life so much more enjoyable. In cities, you’re not tied to a car just to live your daily life. I really took the GTA for granted until I lived in places where I had to scrape snow off my car just to grab a snack. Now, I appreciate the freedom of being able to walk around, enjoy the air, and not rely on driving for every little thing. So, I’d encourage you to look at city life with fresh eyes :) Yalla ya Zoe!🔹🔷🔹
Always looking forward to your vlogs! ❤ Zoe, you were not in the cutest part of Saint-Bruno, for the house window shopping it's just besides the Mont Saint-Bruno😅 the nice houses, big trees, coffee shops and restaurants😊. But, Bromont is so nice also with the colors of the leaves changing !
I grew up in the city and it was fine. But when I moved out of my parents house I lived in the suburbs to be closer to work. I hated the commute. I am not a suburban person. I go to the city for big events or to see friends and family. I think you just follow your heart. 💎 my blue emoji.
I think there’s a difference between men and women when it comes to feedback and how it makes us feel. I think 1 negative comment in a pool of positive comments bothers a lot of women, but most men won’t give that 1 negative comment a second thought and they move on. I’m in the US and I’m gen X so maybe that’s part of it, but since you’re much younger it further makes me think it’s largely part of the messages (whether intentional or not) that girls receive growing up.
Ive been thinking about this so much lately!! My fiance and I arent loving the city and both grew up in small towns so we’ll definitely be leaving the city! Also can you link your camera + lens?! The quality is so good!! 😍
🟦 You are so inspirational, thank you for sharing your life with us. Listening to you makes me want to be better, but maintain a balance as well. Your outlook on saving money, your decision to learn a new skill to be able to teach a different style of fitness class, and your love for Maggie are just a few of the things that are impressive. Thank you again 🫶🏼 🟦
I love what you showed us in Bromont, it does look peaceful. I especially love places with local cafe's over the big box brands. Nothing wrong with big box but there's something to the charm of the local spots. I live in the GTA and I'm so fed up of the congestion among other stuff of the "Big City". I am considering a move myself, not sure where. Thinking of the USA lol but May just be another part of Canada or as I call it CAN NOT A DA. City life is just over priced in 2024. Not worth the cost as I get older. When I was younger I loved it, lots of action but I desire PEACE and Quiet today. (Moral of the story is that I can resonate with what you are saying here.)
thanks for sharing. :) My mom is extremely toxic and in competition with me. I chose to keep her in my life but from a distance. She is still in my kids life and I am happy with boudaries but still having her around even if I dont like her that much lol. God bless
Hi Zoe, love your vlogs!! Very honest and deep conversations. Breath of fresh air on YT.Girl I live in Lachine, Montreal. It has more of a subarban feel but is in the city and you have the St Lawrence river accessible by walk, bike. The main town area is still under construction but we already have cute cafés and boutiques. Check it out. :)
I missed listening to the song in the vlogs 🥹🎵 hey darlin 💃🏻 Can I tell you what's been on my mind? 🎶 Sick and tired of the nine-to-five and the city life 🎶🎶♥️♥️
Okay so this video appeared as a random suggestion and I totally related to every word in your title so I clicked on it... and then you mentioned you're in Montreal and I literally stopped what I was doing. I ALSO live in Mtrl but for some reason it NEVER occurred to me that there are Mtrl vloggers?? LOLL Or people in Mtrl that I could so relate to on all these topics 😮 Honestly mindblowing 😂 (P.S. My sister -- who I have a fraught relationship with -- was just telling me how she'd love to move to St Bruno and showed me the exact parking lot you're in at the beginning of the video as an example of how great the idea of being in St-Bruno is, and a (joking) part of me was like... oh wow we really are different people, no wonder we've been drifting apart 😂 C'est VRM pas mon vibe! LOL)
When I drive through a very nice neighborhood, my suburban house looks like a cookie-cutter bland disappointing area. When we drive through not so great neighborhoods....we feel blessed. Guess it's all relative.
Montreal has a lot of traffic , I move here 8 years a go with my husband . And the city still have the same streets and there so much more people who moved here. 😢 we lose 2 hours everyday going to work and back home . And we feel is a waste of time 🫠
are you more of a small town, suburb, or city person?? (ps. the song is back!!!!)
You have no idea the perfect timing of this vlog ❤ and def small town gal I live in Toronto and wanna leave the city to enjoy a big backyard nature walks by the lake potentially etc 😊
Small town
Small town, 25.000-50.000 people are the perfect size :)
Suburb 😊🚙
Subarus for sure

✨ YOU ARE SO GENUINE ✨

🩵 thank you for talking about your relationship with your parents! I went through something very similar and it’s really nice to know I am not alone in feeling that way. I too have decided on forgiveness and like you said, it is a weight off your chest. Thank you for your videos! 💕
💙🦋🚙
I’m a new subscriber who’s also from Montreal and I’m so happy I found your channel! This was such a great video! 🥰
The first thing blue. So cute! Thanks for being raw!
Great video I love off island, the city with the dramatic bridge situation, and come from the burbs. I work downtown so I get my dose of the city during the day and get more quiet at home. I get how you feel. Keep healing and dreaming 💕
Sky 🌌 This is one of my fav vlogs 🦋
You would love Ste-Rose in Laval. Old Ste-rose is so peacefull and walkable. Has cute coffee, ice cream and bagel shops. Yes houses are expensive but you pay for the location (close to mtl) and the small town feel.
I live very close to Ste-Rose and we go all the time.
It's the best of both worlds + you have good public transportation.
I love going to look at home! AND....it's the perfect way to manifest your home. Every home I have owned has come to me this way (even when I did not think I could afford it)
I loved this episode Zoe!! It feels like I'm having a heart to heart with a close friend 🦋
Family love.
thank you so so so much 🩵🩵 your comment means so much to me!
Such a cute place to raise a family!! Good luck at your event this weekend! Wish i could be there❤
Wonderful video!!
Beautiful and relatable video 🩵. Also when you mentioned liking older character homes I pictured your future videos with fixer upper/diy content 😉
Something blue 💙 love your videos Zoe
💎 Thank you Zoe. We love you, thank you for sharing your life and story with us.
Love these types of your videos! ❤
🐦What a beautiful video, Zoe! Your transparency is so refreshing. XO
I LOVED this vlog, so real so honest in a beautiful way. Thank you for sharing this❤ I really enjoy seeing your vlogs.and seeing CANADA 🇨🇦 ❤❤❤
If you love small towns, I really enjoyed North Hatley, Venise en Québec and Lac Brome. They’re such pretty and charming places, really recommend a visit!
Loved hearing your life stories, thank you for sharing 🪁
Blue sky of small towns ❤
The south shore drive is sooo nice, totally get the impulse to move to the country - moved out of the west island to the laurentians and it’s so much more peaceful out here
💙💙💙 thanks for being a inspiration 🫂🫂🫂
💙💙 loved this vlog, so glad you turned the day around x
I've always wanted to live in Bromont when I was younger, it's beautiful!!! I'm from the Saint-Hyacinthe area :)
Mont-Saint-Hilaire and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu are also really nice.
You are awesome Zoe. Thanks for sharing!!!! If every girl in Canada is like you I might want to move there
hahahahah
I really enjoyed this video, thank you for sharing Zoe 💙 I didn't know you were half-Lebanese, how cool!
So excited! Paying 24€ for shipping ugh but oh well…🎉❤ I think this will be an investment piece that will remain a bag for years to come!
ahhh i'm so excited for you hehe!! it's really the cutest little bag and you'll have it for so long 🩵
🪺Thank you for the wonderful video.
The area is " paisible " i love it ...❤❤❤
Always looking forward to your vlogs! ❤
Zoe, you were not in the cutest part of Saint-Bruno, for the house window shopping it's just besides the Mont Saint-Bruno😅 the nice houses, big trees, coffee shops and restaurants😊. But, Bromont is so nice also with the colors of the leaves changing !
omw to Mont-Saint-Bruno net time 🥰 thank you for tellling me!
Thank you for sharing your story ❣️
💙 J'ai le même style de relation avec ma mère... Ce n’est pas toujours évident! Courage!
Blue it is… 😉. That was a beautiful explanation of your life experience at the end of this.
thanks for sharing.
💙you ROCK!!!
✈️ i Hope it Counts as Blue. Thank you for an other Charts video
Sighhhhh…. you might be my favorite TH-camr ❤
I missed listening to the song in the vlogs 🥹🎵 hey darlin 💃🏻 Can I tell you what's been on my mind? 🎶
Sick and tired of the nine-to-five and the city life 🎶🎶♥️♥️
i missed it so much too 🥹🩷
Okay so this video appeared as a random suggestion and I totally related to every word in your title so I clicked on it... and then you mentioned you're in Montreal and I literally stopped what I was doing. I ALSO live in Mtrl but for some reason it NEVER occurred to me that there are Mtrl vloggers?? LOLL Or people in Mtrl that I could so relate to on all these topics 😮 Honestly mindblowing 😂
(P.S. LOL)
💙 healing is a journey, hope your's it's having great views🌅 💙
I want to visit Montreal again in the summer only I loved it
Great video! Thanks for sharing 💙
The sky is blue! ;)
When I drive through a very nice neighborhood, my suburban house looks like a cookie-cutter bland disappointing area.
When we drive through not so great neighborhoods....we feel blessed.
Guess it's all relative.
Refreshing vlog 💠💠
Montreal has a lot of traffic , I move here 8 years a go with my husband . And the city still have the same streets and there so much more people who moved here.
😢 we lose 2 hours everyday going to work and back home . And we feel is a waste of time 🫠
i can imagine 😭😭 its really really bad the traffic!
Thank you 🌸🌸
Wait til you hit perimenopause OMG I can’t handle the summers anymore. It’s terrible
I've been going to the open houses (tours) of $1-$2 Million homes. You have to have the mindset.
yesss that's it!! i love it
Beautiful Place
j’y vais!!! prochaine épisode: st bruno’s redemption!! haha 🩷
