fyi the w211's are in roughly the same spot. I changed the one on my wagon through the fender liner. My inlet hose was also rotted on that one as well.
Hello same issue here mines was rotted and practically ripped off hanging in there , now what symptoms may this air filter bring in is my question as I wanna know if the car is still safely driveable for the next 2 weeks
Absolutely. I'd also recommend changing all the fluids if they're factory (diff, trans, power steering, coolant ,supercharger oil). Check the intercooler pump to see if it's factory (upgrade to at least the Bosch 010), these cars tend to run hot, especially if modded. and check the trans/motor mounts, valve cover gaskets and spark plugs. These cars are very reliable with the proper maintenance and are a blast to drive.

im getting a cls55 amg this saturday. u recommend me doing this just for peace of mind
