    This was the first board I ever made and it's still my favorite! I learn something new each time I make or re-make something! If you see something in this video that you think I could have improved, let me know in the comments!!

    Great video and I got a personal kick out of it because I'm currently making my first chess board and I'm using those same little things but I'm using red and blue!

    How much resin did you initially use to fill in the clear and gold squares of the board?

    Does anyone know about how much resin I would need to make a full chess set? Including the board and pieces.

      for the small board , 18.5cm×18.5cm×1cm you be needing around 600g or 700 of resin
      and for pieces you be needing around 150g or 200g
      those measurements are little bit overestimated to avoid uncompleted work.

      You can make this chess board with resin and pigments, gold foil for color.

    How much resin was used for the entire project & how long did you let each section cure before pouring the next layer ?

    • @gerrijoncas3206
      @gerrijoncas3206 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have made four so far and also learn with each one! Two ounces of each color being used for the squares is plenty. I believe I use about 16 ounces to finish the border, back, and checker pieces. It might be slightly more.
      Love the colors in this one! It looks great. Thank you for sharing. 😊

    Dis you let each section cure a little before pouring the next color set? I ruined a whole board. Ugh

    • @miriamgalindo3882
      @miriamgalindo3882 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes u need to let it sit for a bit to put the next coat so it dont mix

    • @gerrijoncas3206
      @gerrijoncas3206 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I usually err on the side of caution, and wait at least four hours between each step. I’ve also found it helpful to trim the ends off some plastic pipettes and use them to fill the squares as you have more control than with pouring. 😊
