The best low budget earphones - VE Monk Plus

In this video I'm taking a look at Venture Electronics Monk Plus. They are probably the cheapest decent earphones you can get since their basic version is available for just $6. Despite their low price, the sound quality is surprisingly decent and rivals some more expensive models.

I have one. I bought them in 2018(or 2017). And was very pleased with their sound. I still using them daily after plug repair.

They are very good for the price, aren't they? I bought several pairs over the years and gave them away to friends and relatives who wanted something better than the stock earbuds but were unwilling to buy anything even moderately expensive.

Don't you notice a degrade in sound after all these years? I have also bough itt a couple times over the year and always after some years the sound of one get lower in volume/lesser bass/clarity. You will only notice this when you buy a new one and compare!

Thanks for the video. Quite a few years ago I purchased 3 @ 5$ USD a piece and I've struggled with getting different ear buds since - these are so good and so cheap that ~$50 usd does not get a lot of bonus features.

the only thing that slightly bugs me is that the accessory pack with replacement foams is approximately the same price as the earphones themselves 🙂

@@yeoldestuff it's funny that you mention this. When I purchased the headphones I read reviews on reddit that recommended alternative foam pads that fit extremely well and are better quality. I brought one pair about 5-7 years ago by the author of this video advice. And I'm afraid I have to disagree that VE Monk Plus sounds better than Apple EarPods. In my opinion, EarPods fits my ears much better than VE. I can't place VE to my ears and listen to music for more than 10-15 mins; it is just painful. I tried it with my friends, who all had the same experience.
About sound quality: I think they sound like low-end Chinese headphones and nothing more.
About build quality: considering the price, I think it would feel and stay durable just like okay.
My recommendation: you can try it for this price, but it would be highly possible to just put them in the trash a couple of days after use.

They don't *look* the same, but with Chinese products it's often difficult to tell if something is a clone of some other product.
