    Kaká was the reason why i, and tons of kids all over the world became Ac Milan fans. To this day, even after a horrible decade, im still a fan and i will always be, thanks to all those great moments that made my childhood. Ac Milan is slowly coming back, and we're coming for all.

    A very important fact that wasn’t mentioned in the video is that Kaka sacrificed his career playing the 2010 World Cup for Brazil. He and the Brazilian team hid the fact that he had very deep and serious injuries. That’s so true he went through surgeries 1 month after the Cup and confessed years later in an interview.

      I remember watching him play in that tournament. I could tell he wasn't moving as well as he could. He relied on simply passing and barely pressed into the goal box. Not to mention, it was very cold in South Africa. That probably made the pain even worse. Dunga should have included Dinho in that squad.

      i would really blame it on kaka's injury misfortune. real madrid didnt want to wait, got someone in the likes of mesut ozil, who may not be as fantastic as kaka but was a very good player himself. there was no real reason risking to replace ozil (it would be unfair for ozil. he was doing well) for kaka who was returning from injury and no guarantee he still could play as good. and ozil obviously did his best to keep his position from kaka. cant really blame ozil or mourinho or real madrid. kaka should've just ask for a transfer asap.

      Agreed! He will be remembered as one of the best players to ever play the game of football. But just like many, he couldn't reach his prime because of injuries. Imagine if he never had them. He would be up there with Ronaldo and Messi if not even better.

    • @Vberar
      @Vberar 5 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      @Joey Punk 36 years for a nr 10 is to much because at this age they loose the speed , reaction and first touch which is esential at this role even if they train hard and still have the stamina to run for 90 minutes they loose their magic.

    • @raffa4456
      @raffa4456 5 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      @Joey Punk Depends on your style as well. A winger usually needs speed, sure, but for midfielders it varies, Kroos for example was never fast so I expect he could play until he is forty. Same for Pirlo, who always played well because of his technique and vision and did not need speed.

      Isabella Zirngibl why iniesta and xavi declined,they are also tecnique players

    • @raffa4456
      @raffa4456 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@juanestebankruhsanmguel1960 For me, Iniesta did never decline as much as Xavi, though Iniesta never got as slow as Xavi. Just because someone has very good technique does not mean they can't also rely heavily on speed, Iniesta for example did a lot of dribblings as well as passes and naturally, the faster you are dribbling, the more effective it will be (if you have good ball control). That is because you move into important zones of the pitch faster and that gives defenders less time of course. Xavi, being extremely slow in the end, wasn't suited for Barca's style anymore, because for the juego de posicion to be really effective, the individual players that are near the ball have to move quickly into triangles to pass the ball out of tight spaces and, if successful, move forward. Teams that are built around someone like Pirlo will allow him to be much more static in his movements and make the other players work around him to conceal his weaknesses. Also, Barcelona's midfield has to do a lot more pressing to regain the ball as this is their style of defending. Juventus, however, defended much deeper for many years. Therefore, of course, it's not only your own style that's influencing how the age will influence you, but also your team's style. Although you can move to another club that might suit you better. C. Ronaldo for example had a huge advantage when his coaches made him a real striker at Real Madrid, as a winger he would be much less effective now than he was at Man United.

I don't think he was a flop, every time he played he had a huge impact in Madrid games. Kaka my favorite player of all time❤❤.

  • @Contarius9
    @Contarius9 3 ปีที่แล้ว +57

    The problem with Kaka was that during his prime he mostly relied on his pace and, more specifically, his speed and these are normally the first things to deteriorate as players age. Don't know if much people still remember, but Ibrahimovic during his time at Ajax and Juventus was known for his insane rushes, often dribbling past and beating multiple defenders before going for goal. But as he got older he had to adapt his style of play for a more central role, focusing mostly on positioning and scoring goals. I remember Alan Shearer, who also mostly realied on speed and strength during the earlier stages of his career, said in a interview that after a serious knee injury he had to completely change his game and start to play more with his back to goal.
    Kaka was unable to adapt his game as he aged and after his injuries. He never really was a a true number 10 either, in that Milan squad the actual playmaking was done by Rui Costa, Pirlo and Seedorf and Kaka actually was more a withdrawn striker.
    His performance during the 2006/2007 Champions League was unreal and that Ballon d'Or was fully deserved, but his age and injuries caught up to him really fast. By the time he arrived in Madrid I thought he was already on a decline.

    • @charlottecooley2428

      Tbh it all depends on how a coach plays his players.. Kaka while relied on his pace was also pretty versatile with his game. I still think with right team and coach he could have adapted to a different playstyle.. Maybe had he left Madrid at right time knowing things weren't working for him there he could have lasted longer. He is quite underrated because his prime didn't last long.

      @rjuniverse7289 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't agree with your saying that Kaka wasn't a true number 10 when he was..He was the true playmaker of the AC Milan who possessed all the qualities an attacking player should posses like goals, assists, passing, dribbling, vision and creating chances..If you have watched between 2003-2008 you will know Kaka was the heart of the Milan, he used to control the possession and attack.. He was also someone who could show up in the big occasions and single handedly change the game..That's what true number 10s are. Pirlo while he was in Milan especially during 2003-2009 was never someone you could rely on for the big occasions or someone who could single handedly change the game. He was mostly a brilliant passer and shooter, maybe good at defence as well but average on other things while Kaka was brilliant in everything, except defending which almost all no 10s are..Pirlo wasn't a game controller working everywhere. He was more diversed in juventus than he was in Milan. Same goes for Rui Costa and Seedorf..You could tell with the decline of Kaka and his transfer to real Madrid how AC Milan completely went to downfall...

    • @sslp5762
      @sslp5762 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rjuniverse7289 Exactly, he just was more offensive and attack minded but he played as 10.Most people forget that in 2007 when he won his Bd'or he played as a forward because Shevchenko left. While Pirlo was the deep lying playmaker, the counter attack was headed by Kaka.

    Kaka came to a job i used to work in, they rented out the whole place so that his family could go kart at nascar idrive. I summed up the courage after 2 hours of thinking to ask, just as he was leaving, "what was the most important thing you've learned in recent years" and he told me "Making decisions for myself" he thanked me for our good service and that's just a brief story of the kind words we exchanged :) he shook my hand. I still can't believe it happened lol

  • @kh7688
    @kh7688 5 ปีที่แล้ว +21

    This almost brought me to tears. Watching this man at his best was poetry in motion. No flicks, step overs or flip flaps. Just a fast, fluid and dynamic dribbler. Who was a great passer of the ball, creative with his assists and was a deadly goalscorer with his left as well as his right foot.
    It's really sad that two injuries within a short space of each other would have a huge impact on his career. I know we will never know this, but I honestly feel that if Kaka was able to stay fit. We probably wouldn't have seen a two horse race of Messi and CR7. I genuinely believe Kaka would have something to say about it.
    Still, if you look back through Kaka's archives. You will see a wonderful footballer who had a tremendous career. World Cup, Champions League, League titles and Ballon D'or. Its actually a great legacy, the only thing is...it could have been even greater and it should have been.

      Let me start:
      > Being famous for diving since 2010, getting the nickname "Cai-cai" (meaning "fall-fall" or "dive-dive")
      > Being spoiled by brazilian media and his sponsors
      > Winning the Copa Libertadores, now he's not a promising player, he's now a "reality"
      > Now with his ego high above the observable universe, he continue to act like a child, since "he's proven himself"
      > 2013 came, he wins the Confederations Cup against Spain and moved to Barcelona
      > Now his ego starts to reach the multiverse and is knocking on God's door, asking for MORE space
      > 2014 came, brazilian cancer media treating him like a god, "he'll get us the trophy", Zuniga came, he left, I laughed, Germany laughed, David Luiz cried(don't forget the little boy's cry too)
      > it's 2015, part of the best attacking trio at the time, Champions League title, 3rd on Ballon D'or, "He's the best brazilian player, he'll never win a ballon d'or with CR7 and Messi in activity"
      > 2016 Olympic Medal, he literally said to brazilian TV: "Now y'all will have to swallow me" (since he was a child since the start of his carreer, everyone hated him, and now he "gave" us the Olympic Medal, he's able to not get criticized and we'll have to swallow him. Yeah that's it. I'm not joking.)
      > 2017, Madrid's UCL titles, CR7 winning ballon d'ors back to back, "oh, the secret is the champions league"
      > 2018.1 hehehehehehehe PSG will make me a legend heheheheheheheNOLMAO
      > 2018.2 injury hehehehehehehehehehehehehehe
      > 2018.3 Came back to the World Cup, just to dive all around the pitch when we most needed him (I can't fucking forget the dive against Belgium at the second half, we were in need of a goal, and that motherfucker tried to get a penalty by literally falling like a bag of potatoes in the ground)
      > 2019 Acting like a child once again just to go back to Barcelona
      As a brazilian, I fucking wish Neymar didn't existed. No one cares about the titles he won with us.
      Confederations Cup? What the fuck is even that?
      Olympic Medal? That's a fucking under-23 tournament.
      Also, all the Copa Americas he played for us were shit. Now, without him, we fucking won it in the most dominant way, without anyone to dive to get penalties. It's so beautiful to watch Brazil playing all around the pitch and not only in the left with Marcelo-Coutinho-Neymar.
      With Dani Alves back and Arthur my fucking country is in safe hands.

He’d make a few “wonder” saves in a season and the hype would continue, but when he was with England (who had a significantly worse defence) 70% of the goals conceded were his fault. He got put in to a top squad far too young and his development stopped and his talent suffered, just took everyone a while to work that out, same thing happened to Theo Walcott.

      Ozil was better at what? Playing cr7's servant?
      Ozil lacked scoring ability.
      Kaka was more complete than Ozil certainly and probably than cr7 as well.
      Jose made a tactical choice to focus reals game on cr7. With kaka struggling for firm that worked out Jose never changes a winning team.

      @@moos7005 kaka's prime may be better than ozil's prime... but ozil was no push over and he played consistently well for real madrid, good enough to keep his position and give no reason for mourinho to risk putting a returning-from-long-time-injury kaka back in. And he was probably right, when kaka went back to ac milan, while he was still good, he was already a shadow of his former 2007 self. as much as you might think its unfair for kaka, it would've been unfair for a performing ozil to be replaced too. kaka never had the opportunity to prove himself.

    After the injury in 2009, he never had proper physical training. Just look at matches from 2007 and then from 2011: he looked and played differently. Before he had pace, dribling skills, shot, and pass. After 2010 he had only shot and dribling skills. And those lead to nowhere when there is no physical form. A pity because he had talent to spare!
    Kaka was to me the Zico of XXI century.
