Nice digs in Hanoi, Steve! I love the Temple of Literature (aka Temple of Confucious), and I'm glad you knew about the 100k note rendering. It's a great photo op alongside the 100k note. The last time we were there, we saw a very good Vietnamese music group (Huong Sen Band) performing with traditional instruments in a hall alongside the 3rd or 4th courtyard. They were so impressive I bought their CD. Wish they'd ring that bell or beat the drum (largest in VN, it's said) on the hour!
there's a big lake in the city (cant remember name right now) where you can hire a duck boat and paddle your mrs around its really nice, only problem is my legs were too long so the mrs had to do all the paddling... also seeing ho chi minhs body was an experience, train street is a bit of a tourist trap but its next to the hanoi hilton prison... I really enjoyed hanoi, my mrs hated it and said people were too rude compared to da nang and hcmc
Are those places actually rated by Michelin? Or is it more like buying a Rolex in Asia? Without judging the quality of the food, cause that's only part of the Michelin Star equation.
❤❤❤😊😊😊
Thank you 🙏
I like the way they eat in Vietnam!!
Many plates ✅
