I really enjoyed the mundane bits. I have seasonal depression right now and with it being winter in Canada, I just find it hard to get up and get going, something about your videos makes me feel calm, and motivated, I just found you recently but I watch your videos every morning to get myself into a productive mindset. I think you sort of role model for a lot of us, how to live happily with what you have and not be caught up in the rat race of the world. Thanks Nicki! As always, thank you for inviting us to share a small slice of your life. We too have experienced fires that came too close for comfort in the Top of the South, here in the South Island of NZ. Quite scary. As you head into Autumn we are into Spring. If all the blossoms on our fruit trees turn into fruit I'll be very very busy preserving, jamming, freezing etc!
You know Nickie, your place is so beautiful, and I know my self how much work it takes to keep a place like yours looking good. All of the vegetation and regular upkeep to the house alone is overwhelming. I also have 5 acres of land with vegetation and animals. Its alot of work, but worth it! I appreciate all your beautiful video you post, and I do realize there is quite a bit of off camera work done thru out you days of the week. My garden alone takes alot of my time. All the canning, and freezing of the vegetation is long hours of preparation. But all in all its worth it to be able to live a life without depending on grocery stores and so on. Your doing a great job and I appreciate all the joy you share from your life. ♥️🥰

I live in BC, Canada, so I'm very familiar with forest fires, their devastation and the frustration with people who are either arsonists or simply just don't think. So many fires are caused by carelessly tossed cigarette butts. I hope that this is all you have to contend with this year xox

We are having horrible heat last week and this week in southern California so I "feel" your heat that you are going through too. Those cool waves on the beach looked so inviting there. Yes, with your large property, gardens and B&B you must be doing a huge amount of chores, you all must cherish the opportunities for fun and enjoyment. We have a Haas avocado tree in the backyard, I wonder what variety you have that started from the seed. Do you remember what kind you ate? The flowers of the avocado have both female and male parts so you are good to go there with your little tree. Stay safe, don't like seeing those fires so close to you. Till next time, ciao

I Live in Tasmania and know how it feels when fires come close. Did a big binge on your channel recently and love it. Well done! It has allowed me to escape to one of my favourite places, which I miss. Better still, you have captured the real Amalfi Coast, Positano steps and all! The home gardens I know feed families, the walks that seldom do when visiting this unique part of Italy. Tradition is precious. You have inspired me, and your honesty around using cameras etc, that is what is holding me back from trying a channel for my home area..called The Channel. As i was watching your video, i was terrified for you,carlos and your family. Am so relieved you are all well and safe! It was disheartening to realise even paradise has its dark side... Wild fires can cause so much damage. Deliberately starting one is scary, and the sign of a sick mind. Controlled burns in the area I live can quickly get out of control due to weather. The smoke smell hangs heavy in the air. The “lunch” on the beach looked like a very nice feast! Snapshots of your life belie the hard work to make it look easy. Another enjoyable Sunday morning coffee and a “movie”!

Here in California we have terrible fires 🔥 as well, stupid people or lighting or whatever causes them is sad!!!! Good by you they have the ocean to get water immediately and put them out!!!! Scary when you live like you do on the hills!!! Always be safe!!!! ❤️🥰🙏♥️
We've been listening to the evacuation alerts and monitoring the air quality during the current heat wave in CA. The fire season may be a long one this year. My car has been covered with ash almost every day. I'm need to buy a HEPA air purifier. Thank you for all of your wonderful Positano vlogs! I told to my friends to subscribe to your channel. I learned something watching your vlog today! I am from California where avocados are grown (although not as many as there used to be) but I didn't know whether the trees were self-pollinating or not. So after I watched, I Googled it and learned quite a bit of useless info (since I no longer live there) but I enjoyed it . I also relate to the fires as I've watched them burn in the mountains many times. It can be dangerous but it's also how Mother Nature refreshes the forest.
I have two avocados in Pots that sprouted in my compost. Im in the North in Como and the winters are colder than yours, so I bring them into the verandah or the house so they can survive the winter and green up the house. The bigger one is 12 feet already. You need a male and female to produce fruit, but there is someone who is producing avos in Sicily now.
The fires are terrible. Thank you for drawing our attention to it. Oh my goodness what a worrying turmoil to go through. Annoying to think they are possibly caused by an arsonist or a careless flick of a discarded cigarette. The frightening fire footage taken from the scooter when returning to rescue your car was very very jarring. The fire was so massive and close by almost on top of the road. Yes the after fire video of the damage was an eye opener too, and the erosion that a lack of trees causes on those slopes in a rainstorm is very concerning. This vlog was so very frightening in parts, and brings home the reality of the dangers and havoc caused by bush fires all over the world.

Yes those kind of disasters go on for ever but it looks like you have a good local system. I loved the waves both the sound and watching them especially as we have not been to the coast in a long time. I hope your 🥑 turns out well but I heard it takes years to make fruit. Wild fires can cause so much damage. Deliberately starting one is scary, and the sign of a sick mind. Controlled burns in the area I live can quickly get out of control due to weather. The smoke smell hangs heavy in the air. The “lunch” on the beach looked like a very nice feast! Snapshots of your life belie the hard work to make it look easy. Another enjoyable Sunday morning coffee and a “movie”!
I can only imagine how scary it was to have a fire in the mountain. I love every single one of your videos!! Thank you for sharing and I know you still have to do mundane chores.😉👍🥰

Here in California we have terrible fires 🔥 as well, stupid people or lighting or whatever causes them is sad!!!! Good by you they have the ocean to get water immediately and put them out!!!! Scary when you live like you do on the hills!!! Always be safe!!!! ❤️🥰🙏♥️

We've been listening to the evacuation alerts and monitoring the air quality during the current heat wave in CA. The fire season may be a long one this year. My car has been covered with ash almost every day. I'm need to buy a HEPA air purifier. Thank you for all of your wonderful Positano vlogs! I told to my friends to subscribe to your channel. They plan to visit Ischia and the Amalfi coast when the travel ban ends. Many blessings to you and your family!

I feel so lucky to have spent time in Italy and often indulge in my memories of travelling around a Europe. I hope to spend more time in the future. I learned something watching your vlog today! I am from California where avocados are grown (although not as many as there used to be) but I didn't know whether the trees were self-pollinating or not. So after I watched, I Googled it and learned quite a bit of useless info (since I no longer live there) but I enjoyed it . I also relate to the fires as I've watched them burn in the mountains many times. It can be dangerous but it's also how Mother Nature refreshes the forest.

I have two avocados in Pots that sprouted in my compost. Im in the North in Como and the winters are colder than yours, so I bring them into the verandah or the house so they can survive the winter and green up the house. The bigger one is 12 feet already. You need a male and female to produce fruit, but there is someone who is producing avos in Sicily now.
The fires are terrible. Thank you for drawing our attention to it. Oh my goodness what a worrying turmoil to go through. Annoying to think they are possibly caused by an arsonist or a careless flick of a discarded cigarette. The frightening fire footage taken from the scooter when returning to rescue your car was very very jarring. The fire was so massive and close by almost on top of the road. Yes the after fire video of the damage was an eye opener too, and the erosion that a lack of trees causes on those slopes in a rainstorm is very concerning. This vlog was so very frightening in parts, and brings home the reality of the dangers and havoc caused by bush fires all over the world.

Yes those kind of disasters go on for ever but it looks like you have a good local system. I loved the waves both the sound and watching them especially as we have not been to the coast in a long time. I hope your 🥑 turns out well but I heard it takes years to make fruit. Fine video and I did not notice any shaking.
