    I love it there is an update to Vada's case. I think Her owner has been doing great for Vada's sake. Yes, they made a mistake before, which they have acknowledged and repented. Now they are taking Vada on cycle and doing agility training regularly. Their lifestyle is changed because of Vada and I certainly say for a better life. They have gathered their guts and be responsible for the dog's wellbeing.
    Moreover, they are telling the truth, people mostly become lazy and delay their responsibilities. But Vada teaches them to do the responsibility right away because when they stall it, there might be a consequence. It really applicable to every aspect of our live.

      David Kim true, most problems I see here are people adopting dogs without doing their homework before. Just to rescue is not enough.
      In this case they had a working dog without they even know it!

    I hope to see more heelers on Caesar's show. I adopted a 2 year old Red Heeler from the shelter. Paperwork said a mix pyranees. This was in the midst of waiting for the right dog to adopt and checking the shelters around. I spotted my Red the only dog in the cages eyeing me, calm and quiet. I took him for a walk and he was so obedient. Left and thought hard about it and came back next day to adopt him. 2 weeks into it this dog showed insane characteristics I was so taken aback by this nut until I found out his true breed. I almost gave up on this dog. I learned a lot and determined to be his pack leader. He is 8 years old now and by golly the most protective dog ever.

    • @formecm
      @formecm 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      they said in the full episode that the dog was sick when they adopted her and they specifically picked her out because she was low energy and they thought she would fit her lifestyle she had pneumonia and they nursed her for two weeks and then this energy came out. so yeah they didn't do for the research to see what type of dog they had but you can't blame them for not knowing and the place they adopted the dog not telling them.

    • @naiomi1877
      @naiomi1877 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      TheAngieIshmael The dog was sick clearly she would be low energy. Look up your breed before rescuing or adopting or any time getting a dog.

    I have a heeler and my husband had one before he met me and I could have told them the same thing-- working dogs need to work. Even if my heeler doesn't have cattle or sheep he gets lots of outdoor play and has his indestructible balls he noses around the yard.

    • @MiguelSanchizal
      @MiguelSanchizal 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      My parents breed them here in Australia.
      We simply don't sell to anyone who hasn't got property or a lot of it.
      What people should know about ACD's is that they their DNA is 50% dingo and being from such a wild, rugged dog comes hyperactive physicality and mentality.
      Cattle dogs put on weight faster than most dog breeds and are able to develop depression if not trained and worked properly.
      They are simply too smart and too strong to be house dogs.
      They must be put to work, it's the whole reason they were bred.

      Drea Dreams
      ....Thats literally the most arrogant thing I've ever read on the internet.
      Here a tip, learn to spell before trying to sound educated on the topic and most of all at least do some research before telling me Im wrong when youre probably the most brainless moron trying to sound like you have the slightest clue about anything.
      I just gave you facts and you responded with nothing but subjective and stupid dribble.

    • @dreadreams9357
      @dreadreams9357 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Charlie Don't Surf you know what's arrogant is saying your parents breed them then saying they have 50percent dingo are u stupid kuz I'm pretty sure the AKC would say that about this breed nd it doesn't.

    • @MiguelSanchizal
      @MiguelSanchizal 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Drea Dreams
      Youre truly dense.
      The orgin of an ACD is a british dog called a smithfield, when taken to Australia by migrants the dog was proven incapable tolerating the harsh Autralian climate and terrain.
      And do you know which breed of dog was capable? The dingo.
      In 1830 a rancher named Timms decided to cross the Smithfield with the native Australian Dingo.
      So if youre able to do the math that makes the ACD 50% Smithfield and 50% Dingo and the DNA of both carry on today
      Typical American assuming they know everything about another country and its fauna because they read it on an American website.
      Dont assume there is anything intellectual I can learn from you, its all nonsense and make up.

      Omg Heeler’s are a mix of multiple breeds that make it what it is today it’s a terrier, kelpie, dingo and shepherd hence why they don’t all look the same but if you take two dogs that are both 50 50 that doesn’t make the puppy 50 50 that makes the puppy a mix between what the parents are now and them selves then take those puppy’s and breed them just dumb

    It's great that they now understand what's truly required to have a dog, but they look exhausted. They need to maybe do some research about breeds first before adopting next time, because they obviously wound up with the wrong breed of dog for them. They were looking for a chill pup and wound up with a high energy, extremely intelligent breed that they're barely keeping up with. And shame on the shelter that let them adopt this dog without informing them of what they were signing up for.

    DO YOUR RESEARCH before rescuing a dog. Most dogs need at least an hour of walking everyday. Certain breeds need more if they are higher energy. If you are a low energy human do not rescue a high energy dog. You will make each other both miserable.

    I had a blue heeler on my farm. His name was Luke. He used to chase cars down when he was younger. Blue heelers are very loyal to their owners only. They also don't like dogs at all. Everytime luke saw another dog come close to him he would growl and bark. I had a fetcher that throws balls very far. They are very active and more into catching instead of tugging. He runs super crazy fast. Throwing balls with a chuckit ball launcher is a great way to wear out blue heelers and get their energy out. Their main purpose is to heard sheep.

      I owned an ACD, passed away a two years ago, I got him at 6 years old and taught him to be around other dogs, cats etc. You don't "wear out" an hyper dog by throwing a ball the whole day, dogs like this needs a lots of mental stimulation. And the main purpose of an Cattle dog is to herd... cattle.
