With all of the books you read, I can't believe you don't have a bingo yet. That is a tough bingo board. Iceberg sounds very interesting to me. In the last week I read some books I enjoyed - Boulevard of Broken Creams by Sarah Fox, A Berry Suspicious Death by Peg Cochran, and I'm close to finishing Scooping Up Scandal by Emmie Lyn. These are the latest books in series I really enjoy and recommend. I hope you have a wonderful week!
I have several Peg Cochran series, and I have NO idea why I haven't read any of them yet! 🤔 But I really, really, really need to get going on them. Sounds like you had a great reading week. 🥰
I read a Maeve Binchy book a long, long time ago, and I remember liking it. Her books are some of my mom's favorites. I am going to add Evening Class to my TBR list immediately. Thanks for the recommendation. ❤️
I hope your cold gets better soon. For Irish Maeve Binchy wrote wonderful books or the Irish Village mystery series by Carlene O'Connor. I bet you get a bingo next week!
I hope so too! 😂😂🤣 You are the 3rd person to recommend Maeve Binchy books. I really need to see if my Libby has any. Thanks for the recommendation. 😊 ❤️
Went I first seen the Cherry Ames book it sort of made me wonder. Nurse in a department store? I knew the books were set older not modern so I googled nurses in department stores. Well, dang, ya learn something new everyday! I didn’t know that they did and some like Lord & Taylor had hospitals with surgeries!😮. That’s why I love reading😊
Ohmygosh I had to Google it after I read your comment. Wow! I guess it's a one-stop shop. Grab a new pair of shoes and then get your gallbladder out. 😂
I think that could be a girl on the cover of "Homecoming." You are showing us how to take the very long road to get a Bingo on a reading challenge Bingo board. Hope you feel better and have a really good reading week.
I thought you would get a bingo for sure this week!! We are going to read Iceburg beginning in a few days. Sorry about the Pilcher book. It sounds awful!
I hope you get feeling better soon, Tammy. And boy howdy, you getting a bingo is filled with such SUSPENSE! lol. I understand completely why that book was a DNF. Ew. This week I read a book for the gothic square, a southern gothic "classic," that I loathed. I finished it but I am not happy about it, Tobacco Road by Erskine Caldwell. Yuck!
Spoiler alert...I finally got a bingo today! Hallelujah! 😂😂🤣 I looked up Tobacco Road (because of course I HAD to lol!), and I agree with you. It looks pretty awful! Onward and upward to better books!!! 🥰
I can totally understand why you DNFed the Rosamunde Pilcher book. It is really strange that she wrote a book like that. It is not her normal style at all. How about Circle of Friends by Maeve Binchy, The Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy or The Dragonheart Trilogy by Nora Roberts for your Ireland square. Have read them all and liked them a lot. You had a good reading week apart from your DNF. Hope your cold goes away soon. Take care of yourself.

That historical romance sounds good!
It really is good. I'm loving it. ❤️
For Ireland, I recommend anything by Maeve Binchy - she is great - but my favorite is Evening Class. That is one tough bingo board.

Good news! I just asked my mom if she owns Evening Class, and she does. I'll be borrowing it soon. ❤
I think that Wild Mountain Thyme has been made into a movie...lol.
Ick. 🤢🤮 😂😂🤣
