I’ve often wondered what The Lyndene was like and now I know. I didn’t think it was too bad tbh although of course there’s no excuse for dust and dirt. I think it was a bargain for what you paid.
Best hotel in Blackpool. You so t find a better one been going years love it . I had room 70 it’s a one they did up such a lovely room . I’ll be booking sand room every tine

For the price, this hotel is absolutely okay.
Everything was clean except for the kettle. I can live with something like that 😅 With the money you save you can definitely buy something good to drink somewhere without any problem.
The equipment seems to have been cheap when it was purchased and it wears out quickly. It doesn't look great, but I wouldn't expect it to.
I would mention the radiators to the staff. But I wouldn't turn either of them on. Then it's better to ask for a second blanket 😅
£9 per person, I know it should have been less dusty, but £9 per person. the cheapest tent you can buy for 3 people would cost more to stealth camp in. I enjoyed the insight.
We stayed there for my mams birthday it was brilliant the rooms were lovely and they had caberet a dj and the beer was cheap what more could you want.

The bradford one was rough!
35 years ago that was much better but even then one of our beds had a spring poking through the mattress
You didnt check the main things which were the beds?? I could deal with tired furniture if the bed was clean and comfy.
When the new hotel is built (on the ex St Chads site), they’re going to demolish Lyndene. That will be why they’re not currently refurbishing the bedrooms, and you got a cheaper room rate.
It'd our of season that's why it's cheap this place is 3x the price usually

You get what you pay for. If you want luxury then expect luxury prices. For £ 9.00 pp expect basic. I think this is cheap and cheerful and good enough for a short stay.
thanks for another great video .rooms are very much dated.reminds me of being one grade up from brittania hotels although there are some great ones and they seem to have got there act together. the lyndene has no excuse about the dirty radiators, and state of the kettle was an eye opener , £27 was the right price.personally would not stay there they are better b&b have a good week look forward to next review
Try the canister Hotel in Blackpool we stayed there , and you have to remember how much traffic tge hotels get in season so there's bound to be wear and tare
Ill be honest for £9 i would stay there.
Never use kettles in any hotels, people boil alsorts in them. Might go here though does look decent for the price.😊
Great video great value at the price you paid most of the cheaper hotels in Blackpool are run down. Would not want to pay much more than you did for that room. Used to go to Blackpool every year but now go to Scarborough not the grand though.

The place is a sess pit I had to leave it after 2 nights I stood up on chair to open the window the shit that come off the curtains went in my eyes n I was bit to death it’s vile it wants closing 😩😩
towels on beds in hotels is quite common.
My mum and sister stayed there in 2019 and I stayed next door at ST chads because there was no single rooms in the lyndean they never liked it because of the cabaret they were right above it
MY Wife and I have stayed here many years (20) a great hotel, unfortunatlley the last time all our local Lncashire lasses who served dinner were gone and served by others
The room was dirty, with Condoms under the bed,, no rooms with sea view as immigrant residents had these, Never been back, but we used to love the place
There are no immigrant residents at the Lyndene.
I stop there about 10 years ago it was awful had bedbugs in the bed you could see them I came back home with a big rash with them
Evenin yuk that kettle !! 🤑 a bit of a small,room tbh it going to be knocked down when the other one is built so I don’t think they are to bothered 😂 till the next one 😊
Am booked for may and its definitely not 9quid per night more 90 i will have to have a look at that .
I was not sure if those are the calling panels that should be moved.
Another fab informative vid would love to know where you get the prices for your stays on 1 of the main booking sites its much more than what your paying kerp up the good work
I use agoda often but I'm not really loyal to any site, whichever is cheapest really.
SURELY THIS IS UP THERE WITH BRITTANIA HOTEL STANDARDS, I BELIEVE THAT THIS HOTEL IS GETTING DEMOLISHED IN THE NEAR FUTURE HENCE IT WILL NOT BE GETTING REFURBISHED ANYTIME SOON.
The Hotel is owned by the same company who owned the hotel next to it St Chad's , that was demolished, it will be interesting to see when they start building the new hotel , let's hope it's soon
@@davidGPS95 I BELIEVE THAT THE COMPANY THAT OWNS THE LAND ETC, ARE BASED ABROAD SO DO NOT HOLD YOUR BREATH FOR ANYTHING HAPPENING ANYTIME SOON.
From what I've heard, the Lyndene will be getting demolished in the next few years. They have already knocked down St Chads (on the next block) and will be building a new hotel there and I think something similar is planned for the Lyndene.
We went to the Lyndene in december on a coach trip room 76 no hot water for 2 days reported it nothing was done spoke to 5he manager before we left said he would look into it not heard anything ive complained to the coach company waiting to hear from them

I have stayed at the lyndene a few times but the last time I stayed there our room was absolutely disgusting I took photos and showed the manager but I didn’t look at the room until the last night we were there,so before we checked out the following day I asked to see the manager and I showed him the filth that was in the room he really couldn’t believe what he was seeing and said he will look into it and have a word with the cleaners etc.
When I arrived home I had a phone call from the manager to say that he was again sorry and had spoken with the bosses and offered me a refund not the full refund as I had eaten at the hotel but it was a decent refund he also went on to say that the room was now shut down until it was completely re done and presentable.
Although I have stayed there quite a few times I never ever thought of checking the rooms over but I just noticed a few things this time that just didn’t look right.
Anyway I haven’t been back since and I don’t think I would again it just totally put me off 😮x
Meant to say all the rooms need updating they are so old fashioned just terrible
From personal experience I'm yet to find a good accommodation in Blackpool.
Surely this quiet time is good chance to deep clean
Deep cleaning means more time and when the price is so cheap they can't afford to pay staff to stay longer to deep clean.
I stayed there with my partner and tbh found it warm friendly and comfortable
Looks ok for the money you should do a pint price comparison.

I've stayed in worse hotels in Blackpool for a lot more money... Doesn't look too bad to me tbh 🤷 as long as the beds and bathroom are clean, it's good by me

Caledonian travel and national holidays use these budget hotels some are disgusting thos looks miles better than others exudes carpets and dark and dull.
Why isn't our government using it to house Illegaly entered immigrants £9 pp pn.... would be saving us a fortune

Mixed feelings about this one. Very very dated, but the entertainment rooms were lovely. Strange room layout, definitely needed furniture moved out. I'd heard there's talk of it being knocked down?
Yeah so I believe
Walk on the Wild Side, Blackpool vlogger, says it's due to be knocked down once the St Chad's redevelopment is built, same owners.

Norbreck castle was better they had bradnew bedroom furniture and nescsfe and sugst was nice apart from rest of areas were disgusting landings smeled bad won't be going again.they doing it up.
You will get what u pay for if you are looking for brilliant and perfect you need to pay for it.

Its never bothered me about being old and dated, but those chairs in that room were tatty, damaged, and should be scrapped, if fit for purpose, why change it? unless you can afford to.
