I wonder if they didn't dump Mr. Durmond's (sp?) head in the same lake as they disposed of Mrs. Durmond. I usually hate stories that have no resolution, but of course, Mike made this so dang interesting that I can't even be mad about it. I also find it particularly upsetting when elderly people have horrible deaths. To me, they're almost as vulnerable as children. I certainly hope they find the monsters who committed these crimes! All of the released evidence makes more sense if we reverse the events- perhaps they were killed on the lake, and Russel was brought back to the house to both remove the head and to throw off the investigation as to where the incident occurred. The whole thing reeks of either an accident that snowballed out of control, or a very inexperienced hit.

My husband and I used to live just a 1/2 block from the lake our community was build on and the communities boat dock. From our driveway we could pull onto the the short road to the boat dock. It used to bother me every time someone new in our community used ours that I didn't know. My husband thought I was being silly. But anyone could have pulled up to that boat dock and tied up to it even if they didn't live there. While we lived in a gated community that didn't help us one bit since we lived on a lake because we didn't have a guard stationed on the boat dock. Most gated communities don't. Look what happened to this poor couple. I'm sure they aren't the only couple something like this has happened to.
