Yes it is.. same boat I have an trained in. I love the wave sport, although some would say it is a bit grabby.. But I feel it is user friendly, I am a new paddler, an this is an was my first boat. Still learning , I have got the bug! I just can't get enough of it!
Good visual and description about what the boof is about but what about the BBBB Body-Boat-Blade-Balance. Let's not forget that when Coaching or Giving Instruction the 'What's happening in the boat' will need explaining. Knee lifting as the paddle drives the boat through the wave. Bring the front up with the knees and feet pushing up the front of the kayak, the blade helps this as you drive the paddle with body rotation. Balance is really key upper body is slightly forward and over the centreline, this helps with rotational drive of the paddle and leverage of knee and feet. Without any of this added to the video your boof will be frustrating. Remember Body how it's used is important, Boat will bob down unless you drive it,, Blade must be used in unison with the actions of the first two components, no drive no boof, lastly Balance, if you do not take control of your body position within the lateral centreline then the result will be hit and miss.
"How To Boof with Billy Harris" is a way better explanation imho. And which white water kayker wants to avoid the center of a wave? I mean, doing WW kayaking, right?
Billy Harris is talking about boofing ledges, this videos is more about talking about how to work waves and holes when in a long series of pushy current to not get thrown off your line.
Explained well and easy to understand...nicely done...thanks for sharing.

Key point not stated: the stroke is always made on the side of the boat making the obtuse angle with the obstruction.
This isn’t geometry . A what angle?
