    Yep - Got my Ardupilot planes all setup with the 6 Pos buttons on my Radiomaster. I did it with a custom curve, but your way is easier!
    I have 3 regular FPV planes and have just gone through and standardised all the OSD's and mode/switch setups, it has helped me alot .

    That's brilliant. I accomplished a similar effect by using Special Functions set to override the two buttons that did not map well. So if button 6p4 is chosen, override the channel output to a value that puts it in the middle of the 4th flight mode's band. Didn't mess with curves at all.

    Thnx Lee for finding this new setting . Although The old one with the curve is still workng for me.

    Ive been doing this for over 2 years, all the way back to the 1st Jumper t16 radio, using curves. Its also why I believe the T-Pro beats the Zorro. If your an Ardpilot user, the 6 button radio's are a "must have" for an easy 6 mode setup.

      Same here going back to the T16. It's the best to be able to switch using individual buttons instead of playing with switches.

    thats so much easier than it used to be. Stay safe Lee

    Way better then creating a custom curve as we just to do.. Tnx for the tip

    Just modifying MIXES does the same thing without messing with INPUTS. Great HowTo anyway!

    Is there a way to force the TX16S to start up with a different position than the first position of the 6-position switch? I figured out how to make it tell me to change the mode to Pos3 with the pre-flight checks, but I would rather it default to Pos3 on power-up.

      I've not found a way yet, if you find one - please let me know!

      It's a lot easier now. See my last Ardupilot builds on the channel... best of luck

    Is it the same for edge tx I got a t1 ranger vtol and it skips modes

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the version of Ardupilot. Older versions needed a curve on the radio to hit each mode. See my video on it.. Happy flying

    Mine is set up just as yours is and on button 1 I get -100,-67 and when I hit button 2 it jumps to 100,65 and then no changes for the other buttons. Did I miss a step?

      @@Painless360 figured it out. When you calibrate each one of those buttons you can’t just press them. You have to hold them down for a second or two until the 1 on the bottom of the screen changes to the number you are holding. Once calibrated they do what they are supposed to now. Thanks

    66% and -1 offset? Do you do that for each flight mode?
    Thanks.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, just as shown in the video. Then the buttons activate the 6 mode positions in Ardupilot nicely.. Happy flying

    Hi Lee, you do a great work for all of us. I have a question about the new Radiomaster receiver R88 v2 which as per specification can work in D8, D16 and FHSS mode. Can you make a video how to bind aforementioned receiver to Frsky Taranis X9D plus 2019, please?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd try D8 first, you need to have the same flavour of ACCST V1 D16 mode (LBT or FCC) for that to work.. Best of luck

    • @justodiaz3891
      @justodiaz3891 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Painless360 Thank you very much for your answer! I’ll try again, but the fast change of diode blink (sequences of 1,2 and three blinking) in the receiver confuse me and I do not know if push the blind button in the transmitter at right time.

      @@Painless360 I have enough, so if you want can send you one.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is very kind, next time I get my hands on one I can look. I'd try all options for ACCST D16 on the radio - LBT-V1, FCC-V1, LBT-V2 and then FCC-V2 to see if one works. Best of luck!!

    I must be missing something, when I have it at 60 weight and -1 offset each button barely moves the cursor on the inputs screen.

    • @ricardotoriumi7835
      @ricardotoriumi7835 ปีที่แล้ว

      you need to calibrate the radio inputs. that was my problem

  • @peterdeacon4085
    @peterdeacon4085 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why 66% and -1 offset? What is special about those values?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They work :)
      They drop the channel values in the middle of the ranges needed for each mode exactly... Happy flying

    • @otm646
      @otm646 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're selecting your mode by transmitting on channel 8 (as he has it set up) so that offset allows each selection to be spaced more uniformly within the channel bandwidth. Think of it like subdividing the channel into six different blocks. You're making sure that each of those blocks is well separated and not going over on either side.
