    Had same issue! (Wife’s car) follow both heater core hoses from the right side of the firewall to the connection points. One is attached to upper radiator hose. The other is attached to the frame rail. Disconnect both. Forward and reverse flush hoses and use a strong cleaning agent. Worked for me

      I have same issue as OP, I checked the two heater hoses under the bonnet, but they were both hot and are the same temperature. Does it mean that the heater core is not clogged?

    Great video!! I had a 2009 BMW X5 with a similar issue. My car needed a new heater control valve that opens and closes when the heat turns on and off. Good luck with your F30.

      Thank you for your kind words and information on this issue. If I’m not mistaken, my car doesn’t have a heater control valve that looks like the one in older models. Instead it has has a heater shut off valve located in a different place than the older models. That is also something I will be looking into. Thanks again.

    I had the same problem with my BMW F30 335i xDrive (2012) with a 2-zone automatic air conditioning system: passenger side always cold, driver's side lukewarm at most. After searching for ages, I flushed the heat exchanger (with a strong coolant cleaner), left it to soak overnight and flushed it again several times in both directions the next day. Now everything is working again and the interior gets really hot very quickly (> 40 degrees Celsius from all air vents).
    Please check beforehand: Blower works, oil and coolant temperature behave normally (extended menu), air conditioning control unit and flaps in the heater box do not report any diagnostic errors, hoses in the engine compartment get warm.

      When you say drivers side, do you mean the left side of vehicle? (I live in UK) :-)
      I have a warm left side of car, cool right side of car… I’m thinking my heater matrix is partially blocked too, meaning the left side of the car (immediately where the matrix exits) is warm, but it lacks the ‘oomph’ to heat the furthest point away in the car.. the right side?
      Please let me know if this sounds like what happened to you, as I’ve seen many solutions suggested!

    • @Monopoly1102
      @Monopoly1102 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes - driver's side means left side of the vehicle (Germany here) :-)
      That was also my theory. Inlet and outlet of the heater matrix are on the left side (upper left corner and lower left corner). The coolant flows vertically as in a parallel circuit. The left side of the heater matrix is less clogged (Zone 1) and the further you go to the right side (Zone 2), the more the heater matix is clogged. Hence the temperature differences inside the car. I hope that helps...

    I am experiencing the exact same thing.
    Literally noticed today because it was cold outside. Funny enough when I turn the heat down the vents all works perfectly. But as soon as I turn up the heat, only my passenger side (your driver side) blows hot air, but the right hand side it would blow less and less air to a point where it is subtle but the air is cold.

    Have same issue 2013 x5 but drivers side.
    Heater core flush 3 times didn’t work
    Blend door activator works when changing to 60 degrees but possibly it is stuck when opening to 84 degrees ( it’s a project to even change that part )
    But I’m not sure it’s the problem for sure.
    I changed heater control valve , as that is usually the issue but in my case not
    I have new water pump / thermostat so that’s no the issue either.
    Professional scanner doesn’t show any codes.
    I’m guessing one of these two things
    1.) blend door activator
    2.) the digital temperature unit itself

      Thank you for your input. I have not figured it out yet. I kinda gave up on it. I got it checked out and I was told the blend door activator works fine. Got coolant flushed. They told me I “might” need software update but were not 100% sure if it would resolve the issue so I didn’t spent $450 on “might”. I’m just gonna let it be for now. Too bad, My passenger will have to wait for the whole car to get warmed up.

    • @toddstanisich7949
      @toddstanisich7949 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Did you change the heater control valve?
      It’s an easy project under the hood and part is under $50. Most people that solves the issue but didn’t for me
      I live in Minnesota and heat for defrost windows is important, so I will continue the process until resolved and let you know when I figure it out.
      But I would try the heater control valve replacement, simple and cheap ✌️

      that didn´t solve the issue.. I checked all the actuators and they all worked fine! in my case it was the tubes that were blocked. I rinsed them out and it worked again! the way to check the blend actuator is to turn the heat all the way down, then all the way up and you can hear the actuators working and changing! lmk if this helps @@whiplife3456

    Just noticed having the same problem with my F30, passenger side not heating same as drivers side… Tried to do research, and found something about “blend door actuator” on the passenger side needs to be replaced. I dont know if anyone here have tried it worked out.

    • @whiplife3456

      I got it checked out, (not at the BMW dealer) at local certified mechanic. They told me the actuator is working fine, and my BMW a software needs to be updated. Quoted me around $450 (about a 2 years ago). I walked out. I’m gonna leave it like this for now. I will see in future if I have $450 to burn just to find out if it actually dose anything or not. For now, my passenger can close their vent and wait for the cabin to warm up, which usually doesn’t take that long.
