Hello Charli! We do have both LX and GX in Sri Lanka. But we don’t have much newer GX models (2018+ / second facelift) and only handful of LX models (like 5-7 if second facelift in Sri Lanka) older ones like the pre facelift models are bit more available. The reason for this is because ever-rising car prices (thanks to corrupt government and shady parallel importers (who we say as car salers and auction guys) for making cars expensive (government increase taxes and those car dealers get together and make a fixed price for all cars in the country with bigger profits making the advantage of tax system into buyers illusion, in other words they manipulate the market not the authorised dealers). So at the end of the day customers are the losers. And the second reason is that Lexus brand is not familiar into most Sri Lankans (even though we have younger crowd who supports Lexus brand). For example:- instead of LX470, they buy Land Cruiser Cygnus. Instead any Lexus sedans, they buy Toyota equivalent like Celsior aristo altezza. And instead of RX 350, they buy the Toyota harrier (like those 2007 models). I think now you get it.

American vehicles are not famous or common here but we still do have some, just not accessible to be. and yes this is a country of JDM imports

Because most of the Sri Lankans value reliability over everything. And also the import tax is 300%. So you buy once and drive forever.
