If i were to trigger my snare and kick with Remo's Silent Stroke mesh drum heads, would this work just the same? In essence, i'm looking to create my own mesh head acoustic kit like a Roland V-drum, and was wondering if that would work with the SPD-30 ?

Anyone know if you play melodies with the spd30. If so, can you assign notes to each pad or do you just use a best guess as to the note values?

The microphones are only for conveying the acoustic aspects on the video, as demonstrated early in the video.

nope. theyre designed to not dampen. i use triggers with mesh heads for low volume.
