West Edmonton Mall 2002 Galaxyland

Taking a look back in the year 2002 of the greatest indoor show on Earth! Welcome to West Edmonton Mall, a.k.a the Eight Wonder of the World and the largest mall in the world during this footage! Galaxyland, formerly known as Fantasyland during the late 80's early 90's was truly amazing. It is the worlds largest indoor amusment park and housed the worlds largest triple loop Schwarzkopf rollercoaster the Mindbender. Over the years many attractions have come and gone, but in 2002 there were still many attractions operating since the opening day of Fantasyland! Jump to 2023, the trees are gone, the extreme rides are being replaced with more family friendly rides and Cosmo is starting to fade away as Galaxyland is now powered by Hasbro. To me, this is the Galaxyland I remembered and wished it stayed the same, a magical place with lush vegetation and attractions for everyone. The late 90's and early 2000's was a completely different era and I hope you all enjoy this piece of West Edmonton Mall nostalgia.
