I left home in July of 1971. I had never celebrated Christmas. A friend's parents gave me a well-used aluminum tree and some ornaments that Christmas. I was very thankful, although that has never been my favorite tree. They do look cool with a color-changing disk light to shine on them, though! I'm glad yours was complete! I hope you made a good profit from it.
Just watching this today as it came up in my feed. This would be an awesome backdrop for a Christmas in July video. Just a thought. Enjoy your videos very much 😊😊. However it may be long gone which is disappointing but part of the business. I would keep it!
Hello there, greetings from sunny Australia where Christmas falls in the middle of summer. This year has been a real scorcher. I just discovered your channel yesterday. Today this clip popped up in my feed. My family had a tree like this when I was a kid. Ours is green and silver and was purchased in around 1965. My folks still have it and many of the original glass ornaments we used to decorate it although Mum prefers not to bother with a tree these days. Cheers, Simone
Okay, so I'm just commenting bc I just found you. But the moral of this story is that my parents had this tree when I was a child. I remember pulling and replacing those branches. Actually, I think it had another wooden piece or two. Okay, I'm going to be 66 and I was at least 8 when we had that tree.
@@earthlydelights It was beautiful. I am 69 and we had one when I was a kid. I just came across your site a few days ago. Someone got a very nice tree.

Thanks for sharing your story. We ended up selling it to someone in Australia who paid a lot in shipping. I think we sold it for $350-ish.
Sweet Memories! That shhhhh sound! ty
This was great! What interesting history. Glad you got all the pieces.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the info:)

I do wish we had kept it but it sold shortly after that video. Now we’re on the lookout for one again for us. Glad you’re enjoying!
I got one in 2020, came from Poland, I think is 4feet , I paid $ 175 plus shipping. I love it, this will be my 2nd year with the tree.
They’re so festive and fun. Thanks for watching.

Thanks so much for your comment and for watching! I somehow missed it but wanted to say it was nice to think of a warm place in a cold day like today!

We liked it a lot when we saw it all together. Thanks for watching and glad it brought back memories.
Thank you I got a vintage pom pom tree 4ft off ebay $300 no instructions 3 weeks ago.
Those are really cool. Glad it helped and thanks for watching!
I love that tree. Are you selling it now or later?
We loved it so much that it made it difficult to part with. We sold it in October.

❤️💚🎄 I’m online biding for one of these gems!
Nice! Hope you get it!
Oh wait, I'm hearing the rest of the story as we speak.
I could be wrong about the top piece. 🤔
And now I am wondering who's in those ads flashed across the screen.
If anyone can find that out, it’s you!
@@earthlydelights Well the one with text is probably the easiest to find out.
Where did you find them? Online?
You're going to laugh at me, I hope at least rather than get offended, but....Melissa kinda looks like my family doctor.
I don’t know what to say to that-lol! Not at all offended though.
@@earthlydelights It's a compliment both ways! I guess your current hair style reminds me of hers and makes that you are similar facially stand out.
