Had the same issues with the ladder and eyehole mount for the ladder when I owned this tent. I found if you extend the ladder completely, then push it back and extend it rung by rung from the bottom out, it will lock in place. Other than that, great tent for the price. Thinking about selling my hardtop and going back to it!
I just sold my Smittybilt Gen2 XL. It was too big and super annoying to set up. Looking at this getting this one. As you said, it's budget-friendly and made in the same Chinese factory as the more expensive ones. It will also pair well with my Body Armor rack. Thanks for the review.
I bought this tent used and I love it, figured out how to set it up and put the annex on by myself as well without any instruction. Only thing I'm wondering is what the red straps on the inside of the tent are for. I can see them in your video hanging out this side bottom of the tent. Any idea what their use is?
How have the aluminum rails on the tent held up over time? Same questions for the bolts, I just got this tent and put it on Billie bars and they barely have enough room to fit the nuts on
I just went over the mounting hardware before my last trip of 500miles. Everything still looks good. Nothing is bent on or out of place on my setup as of now. The tent has been on for about 4 months
Wind noise isn't an issue at least for us. Our last trip I recorded it was a bad thunder storm and wasn't an issue. We sleep with a fan on at home though so we like ambiance when we sleep. At the end of this month we will be out on the beach in it so it will be hit with wind alot. The rain fly is attached with 4 clips as well around the tent.
Hey man! Great video. Would you recommend this in winter if I had a diesel heater pumping heat up to it? Thanks!! Also, I saw reviews saying the ladder might be a bit weak. I’m 230 ish lbs and was worried and it didn’t seem like it bent much under you. Thanks!
I can't say for sure, we are actually ordering a diesel heater to test it out in the winter season. Stand by for that video I think it will work pretty good though. Ladder is very strong, I'm around 220 and have been up and down in a ton this season. Glad the video helped out
You can find information on the bed rack HERE! th-cam.com/video/ZfzqO352PTc/w-d-xo.html
Great video, trying to decide between this tent and the Smittybilt Overlander. Thanks!

Oh wow! I thought about trying out a hardtop, maybe I shouldn't
Killer info + y’all are super likable, looking forward to the next videos on this tent, mad props!
Thank you!

Glad it was helpful! After using this tent for months I have the setup time down by alot. I think last time I timed it as a joke it took me 5 minutes

I believe I saw someone say it's to help put it down or pull it up. I'm not really sure. I never use it and just leave it tucked
Want sure about buying this but it sounds good and i was wondering about the inside and ability to see the stats so thank you for mentioning those!
Your videos are getting so good😌
Thank you!
Great video! I just bought this tent, what are the red straps for in the middle?
Thanks glad you liked it! Red straps are used to help when getting in the tent. Hold on to them while going up the ladder. I don't use them
@@ModernDayViking Gotcha! Yeah, I don't think I need those and they just get in the way, they get caught. I'm going to remove them, haha! Thank you!

@@ModernDayViking sweet, thanks!
Hey are the window rods shorter than the door rods?
Nope, all the same
How was your experience indoor temperature wise? Did it keep warm than outdoors?
It's not super warm, I would say it's warmer than a ground tent though
Is wind noise too bad? It looks like the rain fly over the doors it pretty loose and could be a problem if a big gust game through.

@@ModernDayViking THANKS!
Get yourself a Mr buddy heater
Didn't have the strength to lift my 73 lb Pitbull up in one of those unfortunately. Had to go with a 10k overland camper instead.
Awe man! At least you found another way to out and enjoy the outdoors, I'm sure you love the camper setup
How is it holding up one year later?
I did a one year update video here!
