You just called he Redbul Manager and told him "this two gays they have to go in. ". Thats may impresion about You and Snoboarding in general. .. thank you.Thank yu Bomb Hole for this episode.I/m with you from the first one...Wesołych Swiąt.
I always knew T Rice was a bit more intelligent than a lot of guys but wasn't expecting him to ladle that much gravy in this interview. Well done, Mr. RIce.
This is insane. We wait for >100 episodes to get the GOAT and not only do you guys deliver, you SMASH it. 5 hours of T Rice?? Yes please!!! Keep on bringing snowboarding closer to us who have not grown up around it, but are astounded and hungry to learn more. Big love!!
If you guys get terje on, your podcast would go nuclear. Travis is the man. He's a game changer and the next level of snowboarding. He's not going anywhere soon.
Bombhole is the one podcast where I can stoke out on clips, learn knowledge that will help my snowboarding, and cry about real world problems that even out idols have. Keep it up boys, ride Mammoth
I moved to Jackson in the early 2010's because of Art of Flight and that whole era, I spent 3.5 years out there before leaving. I owe a lot to this dude.
Literally same reason I got on a board at around 8yrs old. Didn’t have Jackson Hole to grow up on, the seasons were split 60/40 water to snow sports. Was on snow-skis at 3, between my dad‘s legs going down the mountain. Slalom water skiing was my dad‘s bread and butter. When he started teaching my older brother, I had yet to try water skiing. My brother was getting up on two skis & dropping one, learning how to ride on one ski. I was so young, I didn’t have the strength to pull myself up w/ the amount of drag created in the water. Told my dad to give me the one and got up on my first try. I was instantly bored as shit. I never touched another ski snow or water. My first wakeboard was a one directional, graphics was the old car called the woody I think. The backstory is just to say skiing was boring. Snow skiing has progressed big time, so please don’t come at me. I was skiing in the early to mid 90s. The progression wasn’t there yet.
I moved to JHole in the winter of 95/96. Rode my ass off in the back country (100+ days a winter) till 2003 when I busted my leg real bad. I remember when these guys were alll young and building kickers on the pass. I was a bit older being in my late 20's at the time. The JHole has changed so much since the 1990's and early 2000's and I eventually left in 2016. I am so glad though I got to experience it in that era, the early days were some of the best times of my life. I will never forgot alll them days in the back country with just my dog, my board and nature. Or the Village before they put in the Gondola. Also, RIP DJ Weep, one of the coolest people I have ever met or known in the JHole.
So grateful for these 5 hours of pure inspiration and enlightenment 🔥🌪️💧🌍 What makes Travis a live legend is his humbleness, a great example for all the proud pro riders flying in the skies. I had the chance to chat with him few years ago in London and with his words, he truly inspired me to do things considered as impossible...
i love what travis was saying about lowering the cost and making it more accessible hell yeah man back in the late 90's I was pretty decent on a board but lack of gear, lift tickets or support quickly put an end to any hope of riding we must do more to support any youth that wants to ride
Loved this podcast! Travis Rice is such an inspiration and continues to be one of my favorite riders. Also want to give a shot out to Chris' attention to detail. Seriously one of the best interviewers out there and I love the depth he goes into.
Thank You for getting me through the work day; possibly one of the best podcasts i've ever listened to! What a legend and common name in my household growing up. Pops loves this dude and so do I... yee
Travis on freedom (something along these lines): Taking full responsibility for your actions is ultimate freedom. 100% with you, Travis! Travis on liking what you make: "I want my stuff to be loved or hated. That's a better spot to be in than that vanilla sandwich somewhere in between..." - 200% agreed! Both quotes show a big personality. Not surprising, but happy to hear such things. Great episode, team!
Once again just an amazing listen. Took me a while to get to this one and find enough time to give it the respect it deserves over a few sittings. Thanks for all that you do for snowboarding @thebombhole 🙏🏼 You give such incredible access for the average rider, to be able to listen to, absorb and just celebrate all the different threads that make up the tapestry of our culture. Fuck I just love this shit!!!
i saw Travis say he came on here for 20 mins lmao thank you bomb hole for providing amazing content with the greatest riders in the world. Forever grateful for this sport!
2:22:28 Got to love a ruptured spleen. I did mine in Breck in 2009 gap to board slide on a flat down rail. Brutal. Can't imagine coming back so strong to ride at the top level and beyond again,
It took me three nights to finish this podcast. But even though I’ve seen roadless countless times, I am now watching it once again, and this is why snowboarding. I love boomhole. #ilovebombhole Splitboarding with my puppies is better than riding lifts.
I remember meeting Travis back when I was working up at the bird. I was half asleep and travis came knocking on the shop door before we were open and I was like holy shhh that's fn travis rice; he seems like a genuinely awesome human. Great work as always, boys. I would love to see Nicolas Müller on the show.
I’ve been waiting for this Bomb Hole episode!! So stoked to see Travis Rice on the show. Love your podcast and appreciate you guys always hosting awesome episodes 🙂
Took me five days but I finally finished a whole B hole! Well done playas! Well worth listening to the GOAT! And def get to the end when old Travis gives advice to his young Travis. As that is leveling UP kidos! Let his wisdom gravy spray your encephalon. \m/
Amazing episode gotta get the resorts on board for a more collaborative effort for getting people into the sport. Getting the G.O.A.T Terje on the Bomb Hole hopefully coming soon. I loved the fact the T.Rice pointed to 2 of my favorite riders during the Goat question. Nico definitely slays the mountain like no other.
Still have 90% to listen to but I can remember being blown away by that massive rodeo over the "hip" jump so many years ago that I saw in Snowboarder mag. (Over 100 feet I'm sure). That wasn't normal at that time! The dawn of a new era 😳🤘🤙
Travis is the goat - side story, 96/97 this dude I rode/worked with wanted to ride AK. We were in the Eagles Nest looking out the window at the old Vail half pipe and he says, I'm leaving tomorrow for AK, come with me. I was blown away and like, what NO I can't do that thinking he was full of sh¥t. Next day, that dude didn't report for work and the boss said, he left for AK. Can't remember his name, maybe it was Travis
that episode with t. rice is litteraly the bomb💣👌 !! here are a couple of dudes that could tweak as much if not more than Abe teter: Damian sanders and Steve graham
Guys, great stuff. You’re right on. It’s science, emotions are actual energy balls that can be measured by instruments and they vibrate at a certain Hz level. They can get stuck in your body.. it’s electromagnetic. It is physics not just feelings, for the naysayers.
*Travis gives the deepest answer ever about facing your fears*

Gnarliest snowboarder ever. Love Travis’ depth, not just a board jock like some others.
