I think Josh Smith is a bigger surprise for the Rangers than Kirby Yates. He has 60 hits in 65 games and he came into this season with 78 hits in 163 games.
@@rhydeI have to agree with that statement. I never expected anything from Josh Smith ever since we got Seager and Semien. He's been a valuable replacement player for Josh Jung, and he looks like an All-Star already.
Ronel Blanco has been a savior for the Astros. Not only has he basically been the only Astros starter, along with Hunter Brown, to not have been injured this year. He's arguably been the best one. Notable Astros Pitchers who have gone on the IL or have been announced to be out for the rest of the year in the last 20 days, or have been out since last season. Lance McCullers Jr. Luis Garcia Kendall Graveman J.P. France Jose Urquidy Cristian Javier Framber Valdez Justin Verlander And to replace all the arms lost we brought up Jake Bloss. after tossing 3 and 2/3 innings in his major league debut. He's also now on the 15 day IL. And our top pitching prospect is out too. We would probably be back another 4-8 games back if it wasn't for Ronel
For San Francisco, Heliot Ramos by far is the biggest surprise, not Hicks. In 22 and 23, he was a typically AAA guy not ready for the show. So far this year he's been our most consistent player by far.
I would call Ramos more of a breakout player considering he was a higher ranked prospect for them. Hicks was never a starter, and is doing great in this role for his first time.
As much as I can agree with Josh Rojas for the Mariners, you can certainly make a case with Bryan Woo as well. Despite him missing the first full month of the season, he has been nearly unhittable
Who would've thought that SuperMan KP would revive his Career in Atlanta and be a Sought-After Player at 35, and Reynaldo Lopez to be a POTENTIAL NL CY YOUNG AWARD CANDIDATE? Braves aren't having the best of seasons so far, but they've CERTAINLY been FANTASTIC at Reviving Careers for Plenty of Veteran Baseball Players! Also, Watching Trevor Williams pitch so Well has been a TREAT for more reasons than one!
Love the video! Shota Imanaga has been fun to watch and I’m not even a cubs fan. Just watch his start today against the cardinals and his sweeper is disgusting when mostly everyone loves talking about his splitter. He has changed that rotation big time
I'm really happy for Ryan Weathers. I rooted hard for him when he was a Padre, but it just didn't work out. It seems like he went to a better fit in Miami and I'm stoked for him. Hopefully he turns this strong performance into a long career!
Could have went with Stoumont for Twins. Was a cheap after thought signing and he has yet to give up an earned run this year coming of TOS surgery. Usually a death surgery.
As a rangers fan I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Yates, Robertson and smith. Super proud of the next man up mentality, it literally got us to the ws.
That would make sense since the start was Tuesday. It’s hard to get every video ready and uploaded within 2 days of recording while maintaining quality.
Not a bad pick for the Reds, but I was expecting some other names. Lodolo, Greene, Abbott - they’ve held down that rotation this year. Great vid Robbie!
Coulda definitely threw an honorable mention to Jorge Mateo. Great defense at a new position, with some good pop and still stealing like a demon. But man Albert is so good so no complaints from me.
It’s gotta be Maysn Winn for the cardinals. I don’t think anybody foresaw him hitting 300 and at the top of the cardinals order by this time in his first season.
Hahaha my potato brain would put it there while shopping because I didn’t like the bulkiness in my pocket, and then I forget to pick it up when I leave 😂
Missed??? Have you seen Yates numbers from just 2 years ago along with the fact that he’s 37? Cmon now. Josh Smith was a top prospect, and Yates is putting up ridiculous numbers considering his age and all he’s been through.
The white Sox are so bad Thay should trade any one at least ok on the team like dejong,Robert, crochett, kopech, fedde,Lee,Pham so mostly anyone. Very nice vid!
@@rhyde I had to watch him compete with Tim Anderson as the worst hitter in baseball last year 😂😂😂 it's definitely a surprise. And joey Ortiz was a top prospect too.
It's crazy the Jays are so pathetic that their best surprise is hitting slightly above the league average. Personally I would have chosen Garcia or Kikuchi
I think Josh Smith is a bigger surprise for the Rangers than Kirby Yates. He has 60 hits in 65 games and he came into this season with 78 hits in 163 games.
He was a former top prospect.
@@rhyde But Kirby Yates has had a 41 save season.
@@KenTrosperhave you seen what has happened with him since then? 😂😂😂
@@rhydeI have to agree with that statement. I never expected anything from Josh Smith ever since we got Seager and Semien. He's been a valuable replacement player for Josh Jung, and he looks like an All-Star already.
Tanner Houck could actually carry the Red Sox like Roger Clemens did in 1990. It's not a scary team overall but he is amazing.
Actually a solid comp

Braves got a good thing going. They’ll get it together. It’s been awesome to see them revive these guys, with Sale being right at the top.
Bryan Hudson has been very surprising for the brewers considering he had a 7.00 Era last year for the dodgers
Great vid! Only correction I would make is replacing Masyn Wynn of the Cardinals for Lynn. Wynn is currently top 3 in NL rookie of the year race.
I knew it was gonna be Gav for the Dodgers. He’s absolutely outstanding this year, and has a solid case for the Midsummer Classic.

You make the MLB content everyone is looking for.
And as an O’s fan, I love your last name being Hyde.
Appreciate you my friend! I have to meet Mr. Hyde one day 😂
As a rangers fan I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Yates, Robertson and smith. Super proud of the next man up mentality, it literally got us to the ws.
Man the Angels really are like The Island of Misfit Toys l, i love it. They got a badass coach too, I wish Seattle had him
Pirates could also be Nick Gonzales he was awful last year and got called up and is our best hitter now
Albert Suarez has a 1.61 ERA now. I assume you made the vid before his last start.
That would make sense since the start was Tuesday. It’s hard to get every video ready and uploaded within 2 days of recording while maintaining quality.
Yeah I had to make this a couple days in advance because I’m out of town this weekend.
@@rhyde understandable. Appreciate all the work you do to put on this kind of content.
Does mason miller stay as a reliever/closer 🤔
Pretty surprised Masyn WInn wasn't who you had for the Cards - fun video though!
Thank you my friend! I thought about Winn, but figured since he was top 100 prospect last year, it was expected he would perform well.
I might've said Lively for Cleveland eventhough Fry is just as important to the team
Not a bad pick for the Reds, but I was expecting some other names. Lodolo, Greene, Abbott - they’ve held down that rotation this year. Great vid Robbie!
These video get right too it, no intro or filler talk. Grade A content
🫡🫵❤️
Robbie Hyde, amazing content dude
Gavin stoke shocked me with how good he’s been so good out of the gates as a dodgers fan
Stone* I was going to say him. Pages has also been a pleasant surprise.
Pillar has been nuts this year. On a linsanity run
David Fry is a FUCKIN STUD finally he’s getting some praise
Brewers could’ve been turang ortiz Hudson Perkins or even Koenig they’ve had so many surprises this year
I’m doing a breakout player for each team soon as well, so one of them will definitely be on there too 😂
yeah it's impossible to pick for the brewers with turang turning it on and the random bullpen guys becoming studs like guys normally do in milwaukee
I think Profar will become an All-Star this season.
Coulda definitely threw an honorable mention to Jorge Mateo. Great defense at a new position, with some good pop and still stealing like a demon. But man Albert is so good so no complaints from me.
Mateo is definitely under appreciated imo
I’ll be at the game tomorrow. Hopefully it doesn’t get rained out
Good luck my friend 🫡
I use this video to adjust player ratings in MLB The Show, and so should you
❤️

Yeah it’s crazy how quickly he’s adapted to the MLB level
A lot of people pronounce “picture” like “pitcher,” but this is the first guy I’ve heard that does it the other way around.
I definitely pronounce “pitcher” like “pitcher” 😂😂😂
We just gonna ignore blanco getting caught using sticky stuff
Yes
All that great information and I come out thinking why would you ever throw a wallet in a shopping cart? Lol
Hahaha my potato brain would put it there while shopping because I didn’t like the bulkiness in my pocket, and then I forget to pick it up when I leave 😂
Yates is a good pick. I probably would have picked Josh Smith.
I thought about him too!
For the Dbacks it’s gotta be Justin Martínez
He is having a pretty insane year so far. I went with McCarthy because of how much he dropped off last year.
Man you missed with the rangers it is no doubt josh smith

Agreed! I’d like for them to extend Crochet, but I would understand if they traded him
Angels Jo Adell
Sorry to break it to you Robbie but the Astros aren’t trading anybody
👀
the reds are 100% NOT Montas, Its Fernando Cruz
He was really good a couple years ago and had a 2.83 FIP last season
lot of former white sox on this list
This guy just doesn't believe in intros
🥳🥳🥳
The cubs is advert alsoloy he’s so bad
Brice T is more of a surprise
I’m not surprised with him considering he was a top 5 prospect for the Brewers last season. I would consider him a breakout.
@@rhyde I had to watch him compete with Tim Anderson as the worst hitter in baseball last year 😂😂😂 it's definitely a surprise. And joey Ortiz was a top prospect too.
