I taught myself Russian and to help with those studies, I traveled to Yekaterinburg 3 times to stay with a Russian family, in one of the standard Russian apartment complexes - nicest people on the planet - the city was also nice - some interesting sights to see. Love your videos, Eli - thanks for these.

Hi Eli! I'm Italian, and to answer about the poplar cottonwood trees, in the whole region about 2 hours from Venice, every year it gets full of cottonwood fluff, we're talking about lots of it, like one meter in the span of ten days, imagen the mess. It goes everywhere!
Keep on tracking Young lady! We love your channel.
    Ciao!

When I was living in Argentina I had a friend fromYekaterinburg. Her name was Anastassia and we called her Tashi. Her Spanish was almost perfect. Once we met at the house of an italian architect and we noticed that we were all
aliens from Argentina. A group of foreigners in a distant south american country. She was going to travel to Russia then so she has to get through half a world to reunite with her family and fellows there. It's a very nice memory to remember

I discovered your channel a few days ago and I have to say I absolutely LOVE your videos and the type of content you like to show. During this time of trepidation It helps to see how the average person in Russia lives. News reports can be so misleading (I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s I’m 47) and I know all too well about “fake facts”! I am in the US and I really enjoy learning about your culture, and there are many things I didn’t know! Thank you!!

I found your channel a few days ago & I’m thoroughly enjoying every video. This ‘martian’ area reminds me of areas in our western states, particularly Yellowstone National Park. I heard today that they’ve had so much rain the last few days that many roads & bridges have collapsed, some people are stranded. I hope & pray they’re able to rescue & evacuate everyone safely.

I don't know if you cover history but I would have mentioned that the orthodox church you were standing in front of early in the video was built on the site where the Tsar and his family was executed. Maybe even a drive to the north of town to the gravesites discovered some 50 years later. We do have poplar fluff in America. We call them Cottonwood trees because with that type of poplar tree the fluff resembles cotton.

The Mars clay quarry looks like it would be a good place to take landscape photographs. These would be helpful in painting spacescapes. Spacescapes are landscapes set on other planets. I would like to see a painting of the quarry colors, and especially the water, set against a violet sky with stars and comets. Maybe a big blue star just peeking over the horizon.

If you ever make it to the Big Island of Hawaii, the lava fields between the peaks (the saddle) has many square miles where nothing in sight is growing and nothing man made either. It seems like you might be on the moon there as the lava is old and crusty.
Where I was the place was also not for tourists, but for US military training, but not high security. I think there must be ways for people to go there without much diffuculty and because there really isn't tourism money to be gained by it, not many people are likely to be there I think.

When o finally visit Russia, Yekaterinburg will be on the list for sure. I’m from the second biggest country, Canada so I know a thing or two about travelling great distances.
You have an amazing channel with real good content. Ciao for now.

Yes, North America has poplar trees, I am very allergic to the pollen and one place I lived was a small Saskatchewan town that had mostly those trees, I was always stuffed , so I moved. Love your channel, from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada

13/09/2121 THANK YOU. Long time no see Kekaterinburg. I took a trans Siberian rail trip a good number of years ago. Most enjoyable. Lake Baikal would be a good subject for a vlog. Keep up the good work. Blessings and peace from the land of Oz.
