This amazing concert brings together some of the true pioneers of rock 'n' roll music including Bo Diddley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, James Brown, Fats Domino and B.B.King. Recorded in Italy in 1989 it features these legendary artists in performance of their best loved tracks such as Papa's Got A Brand New Bag, Bo Diddley, Great Balls Of Fire, Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On and Blueberry Hill. At the end of the concert all the performers come together for all-star jam that leaves the audience hollering for more. It's a rare event indeed that brings so many great live performers together on one bill and this DVD captures the real excitement of the evening.

Jerry Lee is not just a legend. He's a Legeng among Legends. He's the real Wild One, he's the Real Deal! In the 50s or 80s, it doesn't matter. He gives concerts with the greatest artists of all time like Little Richard, Bo Didley, BB King, Fats Domino (all 4 were present in this concert), also with Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash and he outshines all of them all the time. His only rival could be Elvis.
Jerry sits down and the whole place is glued to him.
jerry lee & jimmy swaggart just put out a new album. they are both 87 now but immy looks 10 yrs younger. Jerry has also had a stroke , can't play with his right hand any more still sings ok, but you can hear the effects-- he is lucky to have had jimmy praying for him all these years- he has given his heart back to Jesus.
I believe this is one of his best shows....in the 80's he was at his best.....
The Last Man Standing... He'll probably outlive us all
He will always be the wild child of Rock n Roll!!
He was almost 60 here and man, what ENERGY He had !! Dennis Quaid played him to the bone in " Great Balls of Fire " OSCAR worthy !

Incredible talent. The Killer will never be duplicated!!!
Better rock n roll pianist ever, for sure!
He really is THE KING.
hell yeahhhhhhhhhhh
The white king of Rock.Little Richard once said Jerry is second to him, lol.
sorry guys Chuck Berry is Mr rock n roll, Jerry Lee is the Killer, and Elvis is the KING.
Thats true but he is the WILDEST MAN IN THE WORLD
And the most BADASS
last man standing anyway
The Killer is so great that he doesn't need to be compared to anyone. There's only one Jerry Lee Lewis!
I grew up with all these guys - they are all great. They made my teenage years just rock and roll. In my book, Elvis is still King, but Jerry Lee Lewis is the greatest rock and roller, maybe with Chuck Berry. Then there is Little Richard, Carl Perkins, and even earlier guys like Fats Domino, and on and on.
4 gods of rocknroll
Jerry lee..little richard chuck berry and fats domino...
They are musicians and singers...
Elvis only à singer with à guitar as décoration..(scotty moore and James burton did the job)
One of the few real outlaws left. JLL forever.

Best version of this song, even better than the wonderful version for the biopic. Lewis was in great form that night in Rome: I saw the concert live on tv.

I saw Jerry Lee in Memphis in May 2011 and he is STILL is a killer !!!
The true KING of rock!
The god of rocknroll
Hey man the Killer is awesome..... dont forget the King.. he got the voice both rules...
Yes, he plays a lot of fast triplets. Just like Chuck Berry played a lot of boogie rhythms that any intermediate guitarist could play. But he also improvs like a madman, and has the right sensibility about what you play--look at some of his playing on his country records later on to see the softer side.
Original rock and roll rebel without a doubt Killer you are the best.
He still has it going ON!!!!!
Best piano player ever !
The one and only king of rock'n roll
All I have to say is , the man has been the ONE , THE ONLY, KILLER for more than 60 years !!! The TRUE Wild Man of Rock N Roll !!!

He is the "Wild One" but if it wasn't for Elvis and THE GREAT CARL PERKINS who told him to get up off the stool and do his thing, back when the 3 of them toured under the Sun Label, who knows what might have been for "The Killer".
