great logical progression through a daunting task. ha, have not lost 10mm yet! Loved the added detail of torque specs.
I don't t even have an MR2 nor any of these tools, but I watched this video twice cuz it was just amazing to watch someone who knows what they are doing and explained things very well.
dont forget you gotta take off the exhaust manifold to get access to the oil pan
and while youre taking off the exhaust you have to take off the distributor to get access to one of the exhaust manifold bolts
thanks for posting!! i have a 4agze and was planning on taking it to a shop.. this video confirmed that i'm making the right decision! :)
Haha, good choice. It’s a pain.
@@SlugsVw This is probably the best quality video of the process that is on the Internet. you're going to help so many people
Great video! I don't have to do this job now, but this video will certainly be useful in the future!
gracias good video save time to do my job
I accidentally drilled on the face of the oil pump when i was going to remove the oil seal which was leaking. the drill pushed inside and i didnt notice. drilled a small hole a few mm deep on he side of the pump. hopefully i wont have any issues since i dont think that part is under any pressure or against any metal surfaces. i cleaned the area from metal debris. a mistake i wont make again hehe. It was on a 4a-f engine but it has the same layout.
I got the same job ahead of me😩been dreadin doing it
But this video is fucken immaculate. Gr8 tips✨
How does one know the oil pump is faulty?
Good job! Wouldn't you have felt safer using a genuine Aisin/Toyota oil pump though?
I'm just taking off the oil pan but do you have to take all those pulleys off because it won't come off it's hanging on the strainer and everywhere I look it says you should be able to take it off without taking out oulleys or the transmission
Did you remove the plate that covers the transmission, I’m
Not sure if it’s show in the video.
