    Hey friends! TH-cam apparently limits videos to 12 hours max now, so I have part 2 uploading and posting in a couple of days. Unfortunately the algorithm would hate this video if I posted it tomorrow. But it's coming! Be sure to subscribe for it if you haven't already. 😅

      Just wanna note that back when on console, turbo button meant where you hold A and it spams A super fast. So different kind of turbo, just standing there holding it, rather than holding speed up and trying to mash faster.
      In other words, less effort but more wait. I suppose you could do both if you wanted. (Seems a little cheaty, but idk)

      Yeah it's been discussed in stream a couple times. One of those things I've forgotten but since remembered since starting retro games

    3:31:00 fun fact, this whole area after death mountain is the area where the first game took place, known as "lower hyrule" you can see spectacle rock up at the top, part of death mountain. You have the graveyard on the left, lake hylia at the bottom, the forest to the right, and its surrounded on the south and east sides by the sea. Crazy the difference in scale in the overhead modes between the 2 games. Its meant to show just how much more ground link is traversing in this adventure

    1:14:45 this part is one of the modern complaints that we hear all the time about how cryptic the clues are, "you'd NEVER think to look under that table! Such a bad game, yada yada etc..." but just as you explained it, it IS perfectly intuitive. The lady tells you she lost her mirror. On the next screen is a house with only 1 very conspicuous thing inside, which you naturally want to interact with, and there's the mirror 😊

      I think I found that one with my copy of Nintendo Power back in the day lol. But I find it funny how he thinks combat is hard but I watch him intuit these cryptic old puzzles like they’re nothing.
      Came to comments right then, so haven’t seen the Desth Mountain gauntlet yet. I expect tons of salt there. 😂

    I love Z2. I liked it better than 1 back in the day. It had more story (in the manual) and I liked the action playforming kinda of games more. The difficulty seemed pretty normal at the time. That’s just how games were so if you liked gaming then it meant you liked this stuff.
    Ironically, the game that revolutionized in-game cutscenes (ie story in my games?) is Ninja Gaiden and it makes Z2 look like tutorial mode easy by comparison.

    I had this game as a kid, and a friend of mine had zelda 1. I do admit that as a kid, i often just wished i was playing zelda 1, but as i grew older gained more appreciation for zelda 2, and how its distinct from the first one.

    Tough enemies being immune to the dinky sword beams might be my biggest gripe with this game

    • @xenxander
      @xenxander 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      why? in Zelda 1 some monsters didn't get hurt by your sword beam either.

    • @matttyree1002
      @matttyree1002 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @xenxander I'm struggling to think of any examples?... pretty sure every single enemy in zelda 1 gets hurt by sword beams. And sword beams in zelda 1 are just as strong as the sword being used, unlike a link to the past for example, where it's always 1 level less than the sword itself

    Surprisingly, those aren't darknuts that you are fighting in this game, they are Iron Knuckles. I don't know why they made the distinction when several other enemies from the first game carried over, like octorocks and goriya...

    On the down low, you do "level up" in some Zelda games (idr all of it), but I do know it happens in BoTW. As mobs in the same area (this applies to some areas, like the colleseum) get stronger its indicative of link leveling up. Also your health in Zelda is also usually indicative of leveling up. Also: Turbo Mode is NOT an authentic genuine or original Zelda 2 experience. Also also, you didn't read the original manual did you? it tells u if you game over you lose all your exp in your current level. It also tells you if you're having a hard time with an area to level up a bit first. You were so close to leveling so many times then getting a game over you basically doubled your game time. If you won't even read through the manual and refuse tips, you need to explore more and pay more attention to in game hints, not skip out on a cave half way through or obsess over a dead end in a dungeon. You seem rushed in a exploration game while simultaneously refusing any hints or tips, which really doesn't mix well.

      @TerraGuild  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@anthonymock9717 Realistically I had more game overs in the first one! Sure, I had way more deaths, but the devs knew you'd die a lot, so they gave you 3 lives before the game over at least haha

    Final Fantasy XI has not been shut down. It is still active. I know people who still play it =D But I WOULD suggest if you're going to play through the Final Fantasy Franchise that you relegate it to the single player titles.

      Anyway the magic drops of this game are easy to know. The sixth enemy of the same type that is killed has the chance to drop magic bottles.
