It’s not entirely the best way, incorrect points aren’t able to addressed and a person can continue on a tangent on a subject that could’ve been corrected at the beginning. It’s like stating this country is founded on racism and using that as your starting point for a long tangent about why there is “systemic racism” in society… When you allow someone space to just speak out of their ass with an incorrect understanding, they will gladly do so

The fact that she actually acknowledged that the far left exists was refreshing. I'm so tired of people on the left pretending that they don't have extremists on their side too.
I have to slightly disagree, I find Ben's demeanour very consistent whether it is 1-on-1 like this, his usual daily podcast or any debate really. It is Ana who seems very different here and appears much more civil than on her TYT segments.
@@ordoabchao4202agreed. I normally can not stand Ana but here she seems like a very reasonable human being with just a different view on how to achieve certain goals. I’d watch a show with Ana and Ben that are like a crystal and sagar kind of set up. Something about keeping a left and a right wing person together seems to keep them more grounded.
The country needs WAY more of this. Kuddos to you two for taking that leap in having a civil conversation like adults are supposed to to. It was very refreshing to watch this
I dislike Ana for all the self-righteous and hateful things she has said. I recall, not long ago, she behaved like a terrible shitlib with double standards, the whole deal. Maybe she's grown now - I hope so, for her all of us. But in order to believe that, I need to hear an apology for her statements like "women that voted for Trump are garbage".
As a lefty, this was also very satisfying. Anna and Ben are both top notch debaters. This can’t be said for every commentator. It’s easy to be articulate l when you aren’t put on the spot with facts you may not be aware of from a challenger.
The most important piece in this conversation was not anything discussed, but the level of respect shown by both participants. We need more of this in the political world
A sincere congratulations to Ana for coming on the show and being relatable and likable. This was truly a uniting conversation and one I hope to see more of.
@Kevin McLeroy I agree. I have a hard time believing this is the real Ana. I think the character in Ben's shoe is fake and the real person is her shock jock lying piece of garbage she is on her own show. Every time I watch the young turds, she acts nothing like this. Literally nothing. She's an emotional screaming nut job. I think this show is her attempt to show she's a rational human being, and she's not. She will be back on her show the next day being a screaming idiot again.
@@raggedflaggon9566 I don't think she gave any specifics. Look at the token "conservatives" on The View, all over CNN panels... Ana Navarro... pure vomit.
@@raggedflaggon9566 well surprisingly, I agreed with her on most points, she’s sounding a lot more moderate than I had seen her in the past. Her socialistic views don’t align with me, naturally, but she comes from a good place, and is honest about the pros and cons of her views, which makes the conversation much much better and not absolutistic. She did make a good point on how much pharma companies make, and gauge us, she didn’t have the factual numbers, but it did make me stop and think, and while I wouldn’t advocate to in any way control what they make, at least she made me stop and think that maybe they’re a bunch of SOBs, which we know anyway.
Wow! Not only were y’all respectful of each other, but y’all actually seemed to enjoy this good-faith conversation (smiles, laughing, and banter). That makes it even more enjoyable for the audience to watch and be open. Even covering good topics where I was able to agree with both of you on certain things. Very sincere kudos!!
A step in the right direction. Not a huge fan of TYT or DailyWire, but I commend Ben for bringing forth this discussion. This is exactly what America needs. So happy to see this.
Sure, it's just hard to hear someone sound as intelligent as Ben Shapiro, but make such bad points. From the very intro "Finnish Americans liver longer than Finnish people, that's apples to apples" It's just wrong on so many level and I refuse to believe Shapiro doesn't know this. It's really simple, poor Finnish people don't move to America. Poor Finnish people live shorter lives than rich Finnish people. You could cross analyze in so many ways, what happens if we account for money? Is it similar in other countries? What about Afghans living in Denmark vs Afghans living in Afghanistan, do we see the same thing? Yes, we do, obviously.
Yeah I was going to say the same. They come waaay out in left field most times in support of the establishment, but at least they debate. And yes, a lot of the right refuses to debate because the debate itself often derails or given the Pakman special, edited a certain way to make one side look horrible and the other less so.

I really hope this episode ends up being one of the most viewed Sunday Specials, so it can be a clear sign of what the vast majority of us want to see: strong opposing views having a civil and productive conversation.
Actually it's more so the companies that lobby for censorship. This is actually an older idea from the 80s. Since Reagan and a little bit Carter, the government has just been an arm of billionaires. That's why there are not two parties, there is one party that works for the same people and maintains a veil of being two parties that a lot of people fall for. What we did was basically in the 70s and especially in the 80s deregulate the economy which moved decisions from the government, where they are at least partially accountable to the people, to the hands of companies that are under no control of the people. Wasn't very smart now that we see the results after 45 years. Idk how Ben looks at the statistics and thinks things are better now, but he always brings up how people have iphones now. It's probably a money thing.
It’s so refreshing to see two people who disagreed with one another have civil conversation and even civil disagreement. This is unfortunately something that has been lost in our country and I’m always grateful for Ben’s willingness to be kind in the settings and to model what it looks like to politely, disagree, and then counter calmly with his own opinion I wish we could see more of this in our country.
So you have respect for a woman who agrees with the slaughter of babies,anti2A, and trans people( whatever that means)??? "Well I respect you coming on the show and having a talk"... Ben's just doing this cause ratings are down for him and Anna, its click bait for both. C'mon man... BWAHAHAH
He is redpilling her through respect. She is wrong as heck. I hear her describe her positions on climate change and her lack of understanding of fossil fuels is so cringy, it hurts. I hope she is in fact searching. But I think its inspired by Ben. She is always angry, screaming, always defensive, never listening or rationalizing. She is actually lunatic to think she is not far left. 🤦♀️ I believe Ben is the first person that showed her respect from both sides. She has never experienced that before. So Ben red pilling style will work. Think of Bill Maher.

It's hard when at every turn liberals try to silence and attack, not only conservatives but anyone with a differing view. The left is insane and you cant reason with insanity.
Well said. I think we just need to stop saying left and right. I have more conservative values but the term left and right creates a natural division before conversation can even start. Throw it all out, listen to understand instead of respond and society will be much better off.
@@xxxsweepthelegxxx i agree, left and right has never been used as much as it is in this modern age. Divide and conquer works, and it is evident by how reactionary everyone has become. True, I'm a moderate-conservative (socially liberal but extremely fiscally conservative) but when Ben is talking by himself on his podcast while I do feel like he a well thought out smart individual, I do not doubt he can appear to be kind of a snob, snarky and an a-hole a lot. I say the same about Ana when she's on the Young Turks surrounded by other progressives with the same viewpoint. When Ben or Ana have conversations like this they both does appear to be better people. I think sitting down with the other side is a good way to sort of realize that most people on the other side aren't the satanic crazy evil people as conservatives get described by in the Young Turks, MSNBC, etc. or progressives get described by in the Daily Wire, Fox News, NewsMax etc.

Anna's gotten wealthier, and she's gotten older. People do tend to become more moderate as they age, and as they accumulate more wealth. Personally, I'm a leftist --and I've never liked her. She's a lib through and through. I didn''t like her willingness to censor views she disagreed with, or more recently, her inability to discuss the irrational Covid policies we implemented, or the craziness of transgender ideology, for instance. I'm glad she's making an attempt to listen to people like Ben; I find him far more reasonable on a number of issues than some of the lunatic liberals who act like they've never spent a day offline in the real world. (Also, Cenk should try to do this, but I think he's too egotistical to carry on a conversation in good faith with someone who's smarter than him, like Shapiro.)
Ben I cannot stress enough how great it is to have you both discussing and debating. Im not going to lie, I agree with half of your stances and half of her stances, and it's important to have personalities like you both demonstrating that we can be civil and can still thrive as a society and democracy. i love how everyone in these comment sections have been completely distracted from the discussion by how respectful it was lol. not one person talking about anything that was said just how it felt.
Ana and Ben have both really grown. Years ago, I remember thinking that both of them often criticized the opposing political parties far too generally, in contrast to clearly identifying the specific individuals, factions, or positions they disagreed with. Seeing both of them building bridges with things they agree on and respectfully explaining positions they disagreed on gives me hope.
@Greg Bet Yes, I've seen plenty of TYT videos, and most of Ana's criticisms in that show are ridiculously uncharitable to conservatives. The reason this video surprised me, is that she wasn't being ridiculously uncharitable to the conservative in front of her. The Ana Kasparian from 5 years ago wouldn't have touched a conservative with a 50-meter pole, yet now she's willing to let audiences see her conversing with one (as opposed to just smearing them). Maybe she's pretending, maybe she's not. Either way, she's willing to let people see here have a dialogue with a conservative. I generally don't like most of what she says, but that doesn't mean I'm obligated to hate everything she does. Some people on the left will smear every single thing a conservative says just because they're conservative. Let's be better than that. If a leftist does something we like, let's applaud that, as opposed to calling them a liar and disincentivizing them from ever doing it again.
@Greg Bet that's a fair point... but I'll have to take your word for it. Watching TYT makes me cringe right out of my skin. I just can't watch them at all.
Ana only ever seems civil in debates (talks) with Ben, probably because she knows that he could rhetorically crush her in a microsecond if she decided to get nasty.
As a traditional conservative I actually agreed 100% with Anna Kasparian on the mental health side of the homeless issue in America. My favorite moment in her career was when she asked a male colleague if he would defend himself if she attacked him. He went silent with no response. The interesting part was she looked disappointed in his fear of answering the question. As if she was secretly hoping he would say yes. Priceless moment.
This was BRILLIANT! Both Ben and Ana are so well spoken, and present their sides of issues clearly. I was surprised that they found common ground on a number of issues. That is quite heartening. Thank you for making this happen. I encourage Ben and Ana to have these visits two/three times a year.

Really like how Ben lets the guest talk, uninterrupted.
So many hosts don't do this simple thing.
Ana is the poster child for that
It’s not entirely the best way, incorrect points aren’t able to addressed and a person can continue on a tangent on a subject that could’ve been corrected at the beginning.

If you two had a show together and had talks like this I would definitely watch every day. This is the type of talks and debates we need.
this was one of my favorite conversations of ben's. HUGE credit to ana for coming on the show! i hope for more of these types conversations because they're productive and respectful!
This was refreshing. This was not a debate as much as just a conversation with two people. No cheap shot or personal attacks. They both acknowledge problems and than both give their solutions or their best answers respectively. I have watched them both for years and this was one of the most interesting conversations I have heard from either in a very longtime.
FINALLY!! Thank you to the both of you for doing this. This is what I believe the majority of us what to see. My respect level for Ana has gone through the roof since she is willing to come over and talk with us. Thank you Ana!
Generally agree. I can't say it has "gone through the roof". Let's not be crazy, but it has definitely increased.
Just found this video. It is by far one of the best political conversations I have seen. We need more conversations like this in our society!
I have truly enjoyed this conversation, thank you to both Ben and Ana.
Thumbs up to Ana for doing this. Honest, good faith, open discussions like this are great to hear.
I won't give her credit until she admits and dismantles all the damage she's done to voters
th-cam.com/video/MBquRAun1RE/w-d-xo.html
No they aren't they are destroying America.
But you are probably a Dino republican.
Thats all fine and dandy to be genuine in person (the interview) but then once she gets back on TYT its ingenue political theater again. But hey chase the dollars, loose your soul.
@S D Why she wants to do that is a mystery. She's actually intelligent but acts like a lunatic on TYT.
I never in 1,000,000 years thought this crossover would happen. I am incredibly amazed to see Ana here and want to say "THANK YOU" to her for taking time to talk about hot-button issues with Ben. Mad respect to you both.
A crossover?
its her 2nd time on the show. One of the few from the left keeping it real and reasonable

I highly recommend you watch their debate in Pennsylvania from a year ago as well. It was fantastic
Wow.
I don’t know… I understand you can be friends with someone who has different opinions then you but Ana has a history of slandering Ben as a fascist and probably still does. She can criticize Ben but laughing and supporting the gay black guy for cursing at Ben at NCU last year… Don’t know why Ben would put up with that🤨
As a cuban, I need to disagree with her over her vie of Healthcare in Cuba. She has no idea how terrible Healthcare is in Cuba, and she is only talking of what the cuban gov reports internationally
I wanted to say this the second she said it. Communist countries have always invented their own numbers.
This was really a great conversation. I applaud you both for having it. I dare say she’s pretty brave to engage in it. More of this is exactly what the country needs.
Naw. When both sides get along the government takes more power
i love how everyone in these comment sections have been completely distracted from the discussion by how respectful it was lol. not one person talking about anything that was said just how it felt.
@@hybridh9702 yea probably because these conversations so rarely happen anymore. They used to be a daily thing.
Except she prayed to the devil for help against Shapiro.
I've seen toooo much videos of TYT and Ana, and she is really extremist. Here, she shows just 10% of her leftism, honestly.
Ana and Ben have both really grown. Years ago, I remember thinking that both of them often criticized the opposing political parties far too generally, in contrast to clearly identifying the specific individuals, factions, or positions they disagreed with. Seeing both of them building bridges with things they agree on and respectfully explaining positions they disagreed on gives me hope.
echo chambers are dangerous. no one is available to push back on the extremists
on the left, and right
@Greg Bet Yes, I've seen plenty of TYT videos, and most of Ana's criticisms in that show are ridiculously uncharitable to conservatives.
I just can't watch them at all.
lol yeah and she would put you in a mining prison if given the chance. Don’t talk to these people.
@Greg Bet so what, you want to not have her talk on the show because of your theory?
Her 2016 election meltdown is still hilarious. Glad she’s grown up a bit since then.
Don't be fooled
@@VaporRipper Well, TRUE...LEFTWINGERS certainly have selective hearing and comprehension problems.
Ana only ever seems civil in debates (talks) with Ben, probably because she knows that he could rhetorically crush her in a microsecond if she decided to get nasty.
Bold of you to assume she's not just prepping for the inevitable of TYT.
She hasn’t. This is a monkey branch tactic for her
As a traditional conservative I actually agreed 100% with Anna Kasparian on the mental health side of the homeless issue in America. My favorite moment in her career was when she asked a male colleague if he would defend himself if she attacked him. He went silent with no response. The interesting part was she looked disappointed in his fear of answering the question. As if she was secretly hoping he would say yes. Priceless moment.
We need more conversations like this. A respectful conversation 👍
This was BRILLIANT! Both Ben and Ana are so well spoken, and present their sides of issues clearly. I was surprised that they found common ground on a number of issues. That is quite heartening. Thank you for making this happen. I encourage Ben and Ana to have these visits two/three times a year.
Why surprised? They both agreed most Americans are not extremists. This is true.
What an amazing interview! Two people with very different political ideologies having a respectful debate. This is virtually unheard of nowadays, and it's a breath of fresh air.
Lol what? These debates happen literally every day lol this civil discourse talking point is wore out and it’s not deep so just stfu
Spot on
@@Jason-gt3ht Oh please. You think that she's only toxic because of Cenk whenever she's on TYT? That's a core of who she is as a person. She's only pretending to be civil here just like she did last time her and Ben debated because she doesn't want to confirm what people already know about her.
Don't trust her Ben !!
... These people believe that men can get pregnant and that women do not exist.
It’s my fault! 😳
Sincere respect for Ana for having this conversation. For so many years, I did not hold Young Turks in high regard.
This could have been 4 hours and I’d have kept listening. Get her back on for more topics.
why, everything she said was bs!
@@mark35806 gimme a break. Do you believe in corporate corrupt lobbying? Do you not want insider trading banned by filthy politicians setting policy to boost their own portfolios at our expense? Nothing to address the homeless/crime issues in big cities? There’s at least three points there for a start that she was right on. And I’ve been very anti-TYT for years. She’s a different person on her show, but when you pull her out for a rational debate, she makes a lot more sense.
@@anthonyr587 yeah sure clown! She’s a Marxist, that’s all I need to know about her, period!
@@mark35806 you couldn’t have watched the interview. Take the tin foil hat off and try engaging your brain.
@@anthonyr587 hey Doofus, if the twit is gonna talk about insider trading but never even whisper the name pelosi then she’s a complete fraud!
Wow. I am so impressed by Ana. I listened to their previous interaction. Her perspective is so much clearer and well reasoned. I am so glad Ben invited her.
Ben and Anna should make their own show. They’ve proven to have a great chemistry and debate.
great chemistry face to face, but if u watch TYT she is just continuously slandering Ben and other more right-wing figures
Agreed
Agreed, two shills representing the two opposing sides.
Maybe she could get naked too. Lol
Bring Anna over to the Daily Wire as the Left voice in the lineup!
Love listening to these 2 talk. It’s nice to hear an adult conversation for a change 🇦🇺
props to Ana Kasparian for coming on this show and having such a respectful conversation.
she still wants the money and exposure because she and the rest of the left establishment is dying. But yeah good to see left indoctrinated people stepping up the the plate.
Why? Because you know how difficult it is for her to be respectful? So she had a few moments where her meds were working.
@@missykins3193 Because not a single crazy leftist does.
Props to Ben and Ana for meeting up like this
The first 10 minutes blew my mind and gave me hope for the future of humanity.
I do love when someone from the left and right can have a civil and productive conversation about politics. This has to be one of the best interviews ive heard yet.
Damn. New level of respect for Kasparian for doing this. Gives me hope for more discussion across party lines in the future.
She is an idiot, bottomline. This shows how fake Shapiro is. He isn't a true conservative.
She’s so hot too. She’s the reason I love TYT
@@ChristIsKing_ so many lonely beta men out there, despite their exceedingly low standards. Sad!
Ben should invite kyle Kulisnky
@@jimvac77 Ironic ben is the biggest soy boy on this planet
We need more of these conversations. This is healthy for everyone.
I miss it honestly
This was fascinating and such a model for us all. If these two can have a civil conversation without attacking each other, anyone can!
These two are both pretty moderate, in the aggregate. It's definitely not a model for all, as there are people that are way more extreme on both sides.
@@jongordon7914 Kasparian, a moderate...? Really? Jeez, she must have changed. I'm just 12 minutes in now.
@@SCharlesDennicon shes a different person whens shes not on TYT. Its really odd. I cant tell if shes a grifter, if its audience capture, if its playing a role when shes on TYT - its hard to know for sure.

@@jongordon7914 lmao no, republicans are all hard right anywhere other than America
You can say what you like about Ana K. I agree with approximately 0% of her politics, but for her to come on Ben's show for this conversation I applaud her. Thank you both
How refreshing to hear a respectful debate. We want more. Thank you, Ben!
Problem is that Libs do not go on his show
This is a lib on his show. Did you not listen to one part of it.
@@AlottaDixonCider Well, this is a refreshing change, then. I'm a progressive and I'm here listening because Ana is on. I bet if more liberals/progressives came on to talk, more of us would be exposed to Ben's messaging. Whether we'd agree or not is a different question, but it's great to hear out the other side.
@@AlottaDixonCider partly because of how massively disingenuous he is
I think she and Ben need to do this more. This interaction was great. Maybe take this format to some college campuses and promote this very healthy dialogue to try and reach compromise.
Yes, because if compromise gets more popular than the politicians will have to follow suit and things can actually start changing.
You're describing Breaking Points. If you like this format you'd probably enjoy their show
Wonderful debate, glad to see that honest discourse hasn’t completely died. Kudos to you both.
Ana, and honesty 🤔
Great interview. To the online leftists who ridiculed her for telling her story of almost being (SA) by two homeless men while walking her dog is beyond disgusting but also telling of the leftist movement in America where they will go after Harvey Weinstein for the same thing but come to the defense of homeless aggressors. Not a fan of her politics but I am glad nothing more happened to her that horrific day. Stay strong, Ana. Thank you Ben for the convos.
This went so well, I would tune in for a show anchored by these two. Make it happen internet.
Absolutely true. The country and the world needs to be able to see 2 completely opposite sides be able to talk to each other like human beings and hash out the nuances of topics
I couldn’t agree more! I would enjoy a weekly show with these two! It’s so good to take into account both sides and hear where the other side is coming from, make you think, and challenge your own thoughts/beliefs.
Agreed.
Yeah too bad that large portion of TYT content is sh***ing on Ben and Cenk calling him a racist and a monster.
Are you DW subscriber?
this was refreshing seeing two sides come together sit down and just talk about their differences. I don't understand how this doesn't happen more often.
Doesnt matter, she will be back on her show talking shit tomorrow.
being friendly dont pay the bills
She makes her living manufacturing and distributing histrionic outrage. Reasonable discussion would put her out of business.
um,... Ana is BEYOND discredited. Along with the entire channel of young turks. They are nothing more than paid schills to keep democrats from splintering into multiple groups.... hey,...that sounds EXACTLY like what Ben has been doing here with republicans. Its not about the two sides coming together. It about the two sides colluding to give you the appearance of choice and discussion where there is none. Sounds like you're falling for it hook, line, and sinker.
Because the left’s ideas shred like a wet paper bag when introduced to actual undoctored facts and logic and they know it. They hide from debate to avoid the agony of facing the utter catastrophe that their policies are and the fact that they have dedicated so much of their lives to them.
Look at all these respectful comments. We should have Ben on her show and see what that comment section looks like
Lol. Yeah. I don't think the comments section would be giving Ben "props" for coming onto TYT...
@@sarahg2653 You don't have to agree with everyone, but you've decided without listening. That doesn't sound American to me.

@@sarahg2653 You literally said how Ben would be received on TYT before he's been on it. That's pre-emptive.
Now why is that so hard? She was respectful, sensible, completely better than what she shows on TYT. Shame our politicians can't have a bi-partisan discussion like these two Americans just had...BOTH sides of the aisle.
I love this conversation because it feels like two people that live in the same Country that happen to disagree (sometimes deeply). So often these conversations feel like people that live in two different Countries that cannot coexist. Great content IMO
Ana, WOW!! I'd never heard of you before this interview & as a strong conservative there is probably very little we'd agree on. But I want to THANK you for having the guts to sit down with Ben & have a civil discussion about the complex issues facing our nation. I can't tell you how much HOPE watching this discussion between you two gives me!! 🙏❤🇺🇲
This is probably the greatest exchange I’ve seen between left and right in a long time. Maybe there’s hope after all.
This is the greatest exchange I’ve seen in modern times. It reminds of the old televised presidential debates, where it was strictly policy while remaining respectful.
This wad great and an actual debate.... not a wwf style own. Cheers to both of them for being the adults in the room
Ben was very kind to Ana in opening - I like when people can stand up and have a conversation about their particular views!
