Thank you! This question is rhetorical but I’ll try to answer it anyways. Most chiptune covers out there are “fakebit” made using modern software. The end result is usually flat and boring. This was made on actual Game Boys. The sheet music was programmed into Little Sound DJ by hand and attention was paid to every instrument, phrase, and note. Every vibrato, drum beat, pitch bend, and embellishment is thought out and intentional. I wanted this to sound as close as possible to the original within the limitations of the hardware. In short, I put my heart into it. Thanks for listening!

That’s how Little Sound DJ works. It doesn’t have an import function. It runs directly on the Game Boy. What’s even crazier is the LSDJ developers are still updating it to this day after over 20 years! The first LSDJ release was in 2001!

The pulse channels are the melody and accompaniment, one wave channel is the bass line, one wave channel is a kick bass drum, and the noise channels are snares, cymbals, and toms.
I wish I could. That one is all over the place. I’ll look for sheet music, though. I usually try to find quartet sheet music as that adapts nicely to this kind of work.
Too much going on. Though the sound quality is high, if this were an actual game, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between music and sound effects.
