Such an important and helpful video!Knowing ur surroundings (when in nature) is incredibly important. When swimming in the sea I usually go in the water before swimming to check things out as conditions can change day to day
Also knowing your surroundings. Also parents should remind their kids not to swim right above anyone when they are under water. I had a situation where when I was above the water everyone else was a safe distance away but after I went under the water this boy decided to quickly swim right above me where I couldn’t see him and we had a little collision. When I got back up to surface I looked a little confused (because he was a safe distance away from me when I dove under and I wasn’t swimming towards him) and because the other Mers were asking if he was ok (He was).
And remember, if you don't feel comfortable withouot goggles, you can wear them too. A mermaid, merman, siren etc. can also wear goggles!! Better safe than sorry. I once swam without goggles for a whole swim, and my eyes burned for 3 days. And it'll also be good, on one can see clearly under water, if there's many people or merfolk in the pool, I recommend goggles
The second mermaid tail from wish I have it but I got it at Amazon I already know it was a knock off and I’m not going to use it for now until I get mermaid tail that isn’t a knock down version
I still don’t recommend people getting fin fun tails and sun tails in Amazon I saw reviews of the fin fun tails and they had holes and they were torn up
@@Cutiepie-lk5sd FinFun comes across to me as a serious company that might not want bad press, so if you order directly from them, and don't like the looks of it you can return it. I bought one of the 25 dollar clearance trails and if looks ok. Not crazy about the efficiency of the tail because of how it attaches to your feet, but it seems comfortable and comes off my feet ok. I am not looking fwd to swimming in it super much, but it was the one we could afford. A used linden is an option.
Is there a service where you can hire a lifeguard for a day? Because I don’t have any friends. And family can’t make time for me. So when I get my tail I’d have to go mermaiding alone. But that’s to unsafe. So I hope there’s a way to hirer a lifeguard to watch me for a day lol
That's a good question. I know that there are lifeguards that you can hire for parties, so you can try googling something along those lines. I imagine it would be pretty expensive though. It might be worth looking on facebook to see if you have a pod nearby that you can join. They definitely would be down to watching you swim and helping you learn the ropes!

That is such a good point to bring up too! Just because it was an easy swim one day doesn’t mean things will be the same the next!

The other Mers were the ones to tell me they also noticed him not near me then him swimming towards and above me.
So many good points! I’m so glad you covered this!
Thank you! I’m glad you thought it was helpful.
This is an important topic everyone should know before mermaiding. I hope parents will do their research before buying a mermaid tail for the kids.
Yes! I hope so too. Mermaid tails although fun, are not toys.
Great topic to cover!!! Awesome points I never would have thought of.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Love this video it is very important!
Thank you! I agree 100%

Yes! Goggles are just mermaid glasses and are an important safety tool for swimming as well!

Finfun and I believe Suntails does sell originals through Amazon now, so it’s all about researching the companies you are purchasing your tails from!

Would it be safe to wear them in a bathtub to be honest I rather mermaiding in my own home
Yes it’s safe to wear a mermaid tail on a bathtub. Just make sure your arms are free to be able to move/adjust yourself.
