HOYS bronze league semi final 2019

Sorry this is a little bit thrown together🙈 haven’t edited in a while but I wanted to make a little memory!!
Keltek Beau (Topaz) and I managed to qualify for the bronze league semi final HOYS qualifier by placing in the top 15 out of 400+ riders on the league.
Having only competed at this level for a super short amount of time we thought the opportunity was too big to pass up!! I expected our results to not be the best, seeing as Topaz can be spooky in new arenas and also we had only previously jumped this height 3 times before (and only jumping a DC at this height once before!!) so a bit of an ambitious ask really😂
But the boy did fantastic for me🥰🥰 took us 7 hours to travel down, we hit so much motorway traffic! 200 mile trip in scorching heat, but 2 amazing days in great company that I will never forget!!
Warm up day - as you can tell Topaz was very sticky! But jumped a clear to actually take the win in the 90cm. Then went onto jump a fantastic flowing round in the 1.05m with a good time, we just knocked the second but last fence! I was so pleased with him - 4th ever time at that height! (Second part of course was 1.15m)
Bronze league day - my nerves got the absolute better of me in the 1m warm up. Topaz was feeling backed off as they had put in some scary jumps, I was a bag of nerves so didn’t do much to help him out🙈 he stopped at the water trey, but then jumped it second time round (I have included it in the video as I want to make everything as honest as possible🙌🏻).
Bronze league - 1.05m. He had the first fence down, as well at fence number 5 (included), but other than that he actually jumped fantastic!! Being only his 5th go around that height and it being a HOYS qualifier!!! He tried his best and I love him so much😭 I’ve produced this horse on my own, I took him to his first ever show 5 years ago and we trotted around the cross pole class - too slow to place🙈 and now we’ve just gone and jumped a HOYS qualifier, bit insane!!🥰
We are much more competent at this level now having had a few 1.05m placings since this (this show was back in August 2019). So hoping with more experience under out belt we can go back and kick ass in 2020💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
