I've watched this about 367 times, and I'll be dammed if i can see any talent here (heh heh heh! :) )As soon as I have some of my 83rd birthday cake I'm gonna watch HEH HEH sum Mor!!!!!! Pop Yankavitch
not really it doesn't take that much skill or training to stomp around a stage none of the dancing was Irish dancing most of it was "modern dance" which isn't dance
bravo! bravo! you guys are so special! I'm going to show my 8 year old grand-daughter who loves to dance (trying everything to keep her off smart phone - thank you!)
These girls are talented dancers and performers. I love that they are in good shape, as someone comments later , they don't have any tattoos and they are dressed nice. Outstanding video and I will like to see more just like it.
I enjoyed this very much as did my late wife as we sat on the couch ENTERTAINED! The caustic sick comments before TJ McBride's comment is right on. In Boston in the 1850's the sign on some employer's desks said "Irish need not apply!" Are these warped commentators without an "Mc" in their name decedents of those Bostonian's years ago? Very Entertaining--especially the leader whom I would categorize as a wonderful "ENTERTAINER!"
I enjoyed this ! Love the skirts, but wonder how they get their socks to stay up ! It must be a lot of fun after the drilling routine of trad dance ! ✌️🇨🇦😘
@@as0929I never had a problem with my bubble socks and never used glue, just sprayed the bottom of my shoes with hairspray as a lot of competition stages are slippy. That was horrible to watch and doesn’t represent Irish dancing.
I feel I will have to play this innumerable more times because it's contested here as to Irish authenticity. I'm competent to judge on these matters and I would give this performance douze points and maybe bonus points for no wigs or burdensome rigid expensive Irish themed dresses. African dance in the USA and specially tap dancing has been studied by academics for decades with a general consensus its' roots are to a great extent in Irish traditional dance. So, congrats for this fabulous performance celebrating the great multi-cultural intermingling of Irish and African peoples.
It's funny that people are all agro and have their stringent perception of "Irish dancing" but seem not to understand where it comes from. These girls are perfect. This dance is more casually structured and similar to the older style, ironically named "Sean-nós dance". The important part is that they are dancing together for the fun of it and the enjoyment of their friends and family. How much more irish can you get?
Really??? This is one of the worst performances of Irish dancing that I've seen. These women are AMERICANS and that was obvious and their whooing and shouting is most pretentious and annoying. Absolute shite!!!
pense que ya no se bailaba el tap pero da gusto ver a esta lindas niñas hacerlo , la cultura por las artes siempre sera mejor para todo el mundo que las dosis de violencia
You little things need to keep working. You have such potential!!! I would make a suggestion however, having spent years in choreography.. create a segment where every dancer comes across the stage doing their own thing to be joined up once again with the whole group.
Irish step dance 💃 meets ghetto hopscotch and double dutch jump rope! They actually planned to incorporate the jump ropes, but the choreographer was like, "OH HELLS NO 👎!!! It was supposed to be called the "Trish Dance" on account it was inspired by Trish LaShawn from The Bronx, NY who "do 'Double Dutch' "awl damn day," but the choreographer misheard and thought she said Irish Dance! Oh well... (Actual except from LaShawn monologue) - "I do 'Double Dutch' "awl damn day!" -You got sump'n ya wanna say? Well say it ta' my face! -"Ahh-huh, thass what I thawt!" -Juss go awn 'boutcha' bidniss bee 🐝 ahtch!!! On another note; that tall, thin chick though...WOWSERS!
Just look at those calves and thighs, they must have some of the strongest leg muscles around. Their leg muscles are bigger than most football (soccer) players and NFL kickers, I know that I wouldn't want to be kicked by any one of these girls.
I'm sure these young ladies put a great deal of time and energy practising this performance (very nice); but it surely isn't Irish Dancing, just some energetic tap dancing
Obviously, the ladies have moved on but this is one beautiful performance. Contrary to some posts, there would be an immense appreciation for this type of performance in Ireland. How risible, posters saying it's jungle/African with a touch of racism in some posts but many reputable academics consider African tap as at least in part a borrowing from Irish dance. In fact, this marriage of African and Irish dance was a principal aspect of Riverdance. This marriage is beautifully reflected in this lovely performance. One further aspect: The Chieftains who rescued Irish traditional music and made it global were despised by some "traditionalists" in Ireland! Likewise, Flatley, Jean Butler were ridiculed near spat upon in some circles for their alleged mutilation of Irish dance traditions.
Maybe that's because in the American melting pot, Africans incorporated aspects of Irish dance. Well documented by historians. One of the brilliant things that emerge from multi-cultural exchanges. The ladies are absolutely splendid.
This is not Irish dancing. It is more like some sort if African war dance. As an Irishman, I am disappointed that this is being portrayed as our native dancing. Real Irish dancing is accompanied by beautiful Irish music. Not just a dozen clogs banging on wooden floor boards.
I have never seen so many stunning legs in 1 place 👌 ..
..o and the dancing was good too.
Absolutely awesome I just love it & can't get enough of it.
trouble is they are wearing shorts not knickers.
Those gorgeous girls, and their impossible legs ! !

These ladies are awesome 🤩👍
most enjoyable thank you.😃😃😃😃
It s hard to see anything so cute, those socks, these girls from that part of the world are so beautiful and full of life, they are real characters.
I can only imagine the hours put into this to reach that level. Beautiful to watch.

They obviously found that long lost book "Irish Dancing Part 2 - use of the arms". Obviously this is the traditional dance from County Titillation.
Классно! Просто красота, да и только! Девчёнки молодцы!
Whoa Y'all !!! You are All Exceptionally Talented Dancers.. Absolutely Mind Blowing Performance ☺☺😎👊💯💯
Excellent job girls. A lot of hard work went into that routine and I like their sassy style. Very enjoyable.
Absolutely brilliant entertainment. Thank you

I love these dancers! This is a great performance I can REALLY enjoy.
This was a SERIOUS dance off,,,and these young ladies were all round....entertaining...tap dancing with gaul....
I love the socks especially.
A lot of hard work and it shows! What a great job!
So feminine, so powerful, so beautiful, so intricate.
How they do not run into each other is beyond me lol love it though
The one in the pink skirt is very watchable!
Todo un gran equipo, felicifades a todas por su gran esfuerzo y hermosa presentacion ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I really don't think there's a candle that could hold a flame to any of em! Spectacular!!!😀😘
Precision dancing, a fantastic spectacle, love it.
I had no idea this was how Catherine zeta jones got started.

Oh no she doesn't. Typical American rip off yet again
Why do you say that this mingles with african dance?
@@robinboucherwonderfulflight How do you know? I'm not sure that this dance is african influenced.

I think I saw Chevy Chase and some drunk germans do one of these dances
That was so funny😂

THIS IS GREAT !!
It's crap....it's not Irish dance

This relates to Irish dance as twerking relates to ballet.

Let's call it "interpretive"...
It's Irish Fusion dancing.
Agreed its shite. Once again our culture is kicked to the gutter , thanks Messrs Flatley and company . A disgrace.

Great performance.. Lots of strong disciplined movements. Super good control. Congratulations, young ladies. Keep reaching for the stars

I still miss Michael Flatley...
She's got legs and she knows how to use them. ZZ Top musta seen these ladies dance
Wonderfull... congratulations !
Very good but i was expecting some music! I love seeing dancing to Irish music.
I experience music plenty in this performance - this is another reason it's extraordinary.
Thats brilliant!!

This is not traditional Irish dancing at all. They've just made most of it up themselves, the typical American plebs.
These girls are always staying above me in hotels
Stomping and hand clapping? I call it a prelude to cheerleading.
The cheerleader version of Drumline?
Well, might be out of fashion here but if this isn't Irish dancing ,give me this.
