Yeah, I think I’ve heard people mention that there is a reason before but I’ve been trying to stick to what we know with the series. Thanks for letting me know though! 💕
@@viperizer0 they say he entered the adult entertainment industry to escape his family, but not the reason he signs the contract. From what it is shown in the series and the songs it was because Valentino promised him fortune and fame (Angel loves being the center of attention) and he fell in love with Valentino at some point. And the songs he even said that he lied to Angel. But it is never said what.
I'm also on the side of Charlie being young and naïve and not fully understanding the situation, she's been sheltered as the princess of Hell and doesn't fully understand her own power or even how to use it. She isn't a fighter and I hope s2 has her learning how to really stand up for Angel and leverage that power to get him away from Val. Angel is such a beautiful, complex character, and to see his friend stand up to protect him, using her own strength and power to put Val in his place to save him, knowing she sees him as worth that would be a huge step in his growth as a character and redemption getting the affirmation he has that value as a person. Yeah he's starting to drop the act and get clean, but we don't know yet if he's really seeing himself as worth saving yet. And ugh spider boi also needs one single hug next season pls.
No for real. And I understand that. I really do, it just felt like… really yikes when she didn’t do anything for me, but I can see where it’s coming from now…
I think I can understand Charlie's side and why she just backed off. I think her arc is learning how to really take care of her people. Sometimes that takes power, but other times that takes effort. It's like, I can't really help someone until they ask for help, even if I have the means.
Yknow what. That’s a really good point. I feel weird about the situation but I also don’t understand it fully yet. And I get the not being to help others unless they ask for it. But honestly, sometimes (in my opinion) you just have to swallow your fear of upsetting others and do the right thing. But I get the boundaries thing as well. There’s only so much you can help someone who won’t allow themselves to be helped. I guess the situation is still new and we are still in the beginning stages of it. So I’m eager to see how they handle it further. Thank you for your comment! It was nice to hear a different side of the issue!
I do understand why itd be confusing why Charlie didn’t immediately step in, but a lot of the time, when a person realizes just how complicated a bad situation is and how far it actually stretches, it can actually feel like the best thing to do is to back off, because you just don’t know if any action will end up making things far, far worse.
That’s fair. I know I probably wouldn’t have known what to do in that situation… and there’s probably not a lot that can be done since it’s a soul pact… but as the Princess of hell, I have to say there comes SOME power with that. But I understand why she would have backed off…
Yeah, you’re right. It’s just so aggravating on the other side, you know? I may not be exactly in the same situation as Angel, but me and almost everyone single woman I know has been sexually harassed/abused. That’s not even exaggerating. Every female friend I have I have heard something like this happen to them. ((It happens to men too, I’m just bringing it up)) For me personally, I told someone about it and they did nothing about it. So I understand where you’re coming from but as I said before, it’s just seeing it happen and knowing that something can be done just makes me so upset. I know going in arms blazing isn’t such a good idea, but she is the princess of hell… and that’s gotta mean something so there really has to be something she could do. Although there may not be because the contracts seems pretty absolute there…
@@viperizer0 well think about it this way. If a Husband beats up his wife you try to help by getting her away, but she keeps coming back or just doesn’t leave him even defending him. What can you do? Angel can’t leave him because of the contract and if Angel doesn’t want to go Charlie with all her princess power can’t force him. He even defended his abuser because he threatened to kill him and Angel feared he’d also hurt Charlie. It’s a shitty situation for both parts.
@@Random_Wierdo. no that’s a good point. The fact of the matter is it’s a difficult situation where the only one who has power is Valentino. I know that in actuality, there’s not a lot that Charlie could have done, but it still feels icky even if it’s not her fault… if that makes sense
The way I see it Valentino promised him fortune and fame plus he fell in love with Valentino at some point and trusted him. That’s why Angel consented to do “anything” in his contract and put no clause or boundaries on it. That was a pretty stupid thing to do.
If i were ro sya why charlie didn't attack Its because 1.Shes Passive and hasnt fuly realised her potential 2.She knew that if she continued intervening, it would just get worse and WORSE for Angel.
I agree with you here! I know that this may be the case, but it still made me feel icky. Like I know she doesn’t like to use her power but I would have liked to see her step up a bit. But completely understandable! Maybe season two 😔
angel sold his soul to get away from his family who are also in hell. this was stated in an outdated livestream so not sure if thats still the reason

@@Random_Wierdo. that’s so sad. It’s sad because it’s not just a fictional scenario. It’s something that happens all the time…

Abusive situations need to be handled delicately.. Charlie going in there arms blazing could have catastrophic consequences for Angel
