Been watching your videos for awhile, and I’m really glad you’re sharing your bike vlogs. I too own a C-Line explore, and a P-Line I’ve been working with Des (whom you’re familiar with) from CycleOxygen on getting both setups to a 12-speed set up. Anyway, I started out my Trifold journey with a Pikes 9-speed, and after buying my first Brompton, I find no reason to go back to any “clones”. Next line up for me is the T-line. 😎

You bought same P Line Midnight as me (with same Lights as me)! welcome to the club! 😜 Brand new P Line wt is 10kg, change lightest ti pedals, ti seatpost, remove both lights, you should see about 9.9kg, if further want reduce, get SMC Plume carbon wheelsets with rainbow innertubes, should see wt reduce to 9.7kg. But i did not change the wheelsets coz CNY coming lol, personally i'm fine with stock parts, original hinge clamps are already very good, you did it right by using back the original clamps 👍. After this experience, would Sam still recommend to buy from brompton parallel importers vs authorized retailers like cycle oxygen even though is cheaper by a few hundreds?
The box Sam bought seemed to have been opened before and maybe that explained the "scuff". The one both you and your sister May bought looked 100% sealed and unopened
@@Andrew-uh9xs ADs import in bulk using containers send from factory directly to the shop. So no need to go thru some steps to open and check. Some online sellers will take out the bike for photo shoots or to show their customers (ADs only open when you buying)
@@pak1sgp At least can be quite certain the bike has been unboxed before and maybe even used for test rides. Thanks to Liow and this video, we now know buying brompton bikes from online sellers is not the same as those from authorized retailers

Hi, thanks for watching my video. Not only Brompton, most foldable bike the most can take 110kg (only Dahon Hit can take 137kg). If you upgrade to carbon fiber seatpost only can carry about 85kg. But cycling will lose weight , you can buy non-foldable bike to workout before getting a Brompton. Give yourself some time.

He no more buying. For me, i will still go to ADs for expensive things.

To me, it does not seem like a brand new bike. Even the wrapping does not show it is new. Just my 2 cents comment.

Have you tried the Royale tri-fold bikes from mobot? Are they good?
No. So far i only bought the cheaper 3Sixty and the expensive Brompton. That bike you mentioned is expensive than 3Sixty.
Royale is just a Pikes, Mobot just use the same bike and rename rebrand to Royale and sell it at a much higher price.
