  • Welcome to a walk-though video on how I set up my consists for my layout as well as some install projects. Using the ESU programmer I can set decoders to look for certain conditions in order for lighting or sounds to work. I use this method on most of my ESU equipped consists. The most notable example on my page is the HO OMI brass F59PHI and matching cab car what was done a while back. I used F7 to alternate which unit had active horn, bell, and lights!
If you have any questions or ideas for future videos send me an email or comment below. I'm slowing starting to work through a list of requests.
    Hope you all enjoy!

I have an ECOS Command Station, I have found that turning off RAILCOM using the LokProgrammer, allows me to run units with the same cab number. My lead engine has RAILCOM on, the other engines, have RAILCOM turned off.

    Hello,
Do you install lighting on Ho Scale trains? One of the hobby shops in KC referred me to you?

hi do you think you could do a video on the ESU programmer in regards to Brake 1, 2 and 3 in logical functions aswell as what the different shift modes do... Im new to DCC and im not train obsessed where i know how they should work etc...
So im not sure what functions i need i order to run a train somewhat prototypical....

I think you said the ESU system did not like 2 engines with the same address.I have a lot of pairs of double headers with the same address [sometimes 3 loco's [Loksound V4/V5] [not consist]..and have no problems. It dose not try to change one of the address. Some of the Roco twin sets are run on consist...but the motion is usually address 3 , sounds on one, address 4 and the other address 5. A bit of a nuisance..
