I freaking loved your shared information so I definitely made sure to subscribe! I'm planning on getting a photobooth this year 2024 (Happy New Years!)... so your video was very informative! I will continue to watch your videos. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. God bless!
Thanks for the feedback! I shared most of that in my video here: th-cam.com/video/Ip9NVVJPCLY/w-d-xo.html Booth, printer, lighting, backdrops etc. Those are going to be some of the basic essentials. But it might be fun to give a realistic look at how much I actually spent gathering all of the equipment I have today. Thanks for the suggestion!
i would say to get some cable matts for the floor cable vs gaff tape cuz you have to keep buying tape....the cable matts come in diff sizes and i have 4 of them at 3ft each for when i dj to hide cables and its easy to put them in my bag at end of night
Great question! With the pillow top backdrop the blackout curtain is designed to slip right on top and hang on the back of the backdrop. If I’m using a regular pipe and drape backdrop stand I’ll clamp it!
amzn.to/3Nc2uc2 but I'd really only recommend it if you plan on doing a lot of outdoor events where there is no power supply. Another alternative is renting from Home Depot as it's only about $35. I purchased this power bank linked above and only ever used it once, so I do wish I just rented from Home Depot initially
Hi Nicole. Great video. I’m still in the research phase of starting up. I noticed that the power strip you linked to in the description is not a surge protector. Is there a particular reason why? My instinct would be to get a surge protector.
I got it on Amazon (cocktail table) www.amazon.com/dp/B09M83HSTL/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_2EXTGQ5N0V1220QVP9NP?linkCode=ml2&tag=ownthemomentb-20 The mic is for the video guestbook (the clients left feedback and answers to questions I asked)
This may sound like I’m over thinking, but with the amount of boxes you carry for one event, does a normal size sedan fit all of that for one event? And what if you have two events going on that night?
I used to fit all of this in my Hyundai Elantra 😅 I haven’t personally experienced two events going on at the same exact time, but if I did it would be double and I would have to just figure it out (as with every obstacle that comes along the way) and/or my assistant would be taking the gear they need separately which means I’d have to have double of what I currently have. Print events are more gear obviously so keeping it digital saves space for sure. Having a larger vehicle is definitely a huge benefit. I’ve seen people rent uhaul trailers to pack their gear into… so it all depends! For this event it was: backdrop stand & backdrop, two bins (props and wires/lights/batteries), salsa, 4ft table, printer, and light stands.
Thank you so much! And to answer your earlier question, to customize a print I typically ask for a flyer, invite or general theme or Pinterest board. Those will help direct me to colors, fonts, and overall design.
Unfortunately the printer (dnp620) has been out of stock for a few months now. You can check some photo booth groups or the DNP Facebook group as sometimes people will pop up that are selling theirs. As far as the booth stand, what do you mean specifically? The booth itself can be found here; glnk.io/5w24l/ownthemoment Hope that helps!
Great question! Thanks for asking this. So the salsa lights will be fine if you are in close proximity to the screen. Most people want large groups or a further distance from the booth to the backdrop, which means the light won’t be reaching them. Hence the additional lighting. It also improves the quality ten fold honestly. The comment I get the most is in regards to the lighting and how great it makes everyone look. Getting the proper lighting for the environment produces better photos and overall experience. And I want my clients to have the best experience!
Hello! Thank you for sharing this video 🙌 I’ve just bought an ipad booth to work in cancun. I would like to know how many copies do you give if there are 4 friends for example. Do you give them 4 copies or how? I’m trying to do my costs and I’m a little bit confused with that. Thank you so much I loved your TH-cam channel 🥰
Thanks so much!! So awesome! We clarify in our contract that “unlimited” means each individual in the photo gets a copy. So 4 people in a photo, 4 copies are printed. Anything extra is charged additionally. So if a bride wanted extra copies in a photo album for example, we’d charge a fee for that.
@@ownyourmomentco curious how reprint process goes during the event. do you use a separate device thats also connected to the printer to reprint? or do the reprint directly from the booth?
Yes absolutely recommend that. Paper can jam, printer ink can run out, you never know what can happen. Plus it’s a very expensive piece of equipment that is in high demand, so while I know my contract and insurance covers damages, I wouldn’t even be able to get my hands on a replacement if I wanted to. Not worth the risk!
And yessssss...I would like your prepping list. Thank you!
I have the free resources on my website:

Next video on social media please please please , thank you soooo much for the awesome content you are providing 🔥🔥🔥
You got it!

Did you get your Photobooth? How’s it going so far?
Great video!

Do you set your pictures to certain specs? My front facing iPad camera takes kinda pixelated photos. Yours looked a bit clearer. Thanks!
Yup! I have a video on that 😉
Would love to get a copy of your prep list
Aloha

True, I do have one long 6 ft one that I keep for the venues that don’t want tape on their floor. So I definitely utilize both!
List please:)
Can you go into more detail on the blackout curtain. Do you put it over the window or the back of the backdrop? Thanks!
Great question! With the pillow top backdrop the blackout curtain is designed to slip right on top and hang on the back of the backdrop. If I’m using a regular pipe and drape backdrop stand I’ll clamp it!
Hi where did you get the extra power bank. That’s would definitely come in handy for me at some point.

I’m still in the fence of getting a booth. Thank you for giving me the behind the scenes. 🫶🏼
I’m sure it’s helpful starting out! I do a bunch more on my Instagram account too
Great video ❤
Hi. Do you need someone to help you carry the equipment? I'm wondering if one can do this alone.
I do it all myself! 💪

Hi. Where did you buy the organizers for props and glasses? Thank you.
It’s linked in the description!
Great content Nicole!

How do you pack your printer? Does it come with a case?
Yes the one I have does come with a soft shell case that I pack it in!
May I get a list

Just curious, what made you decide to add the additional LED lights? is the salsa booth light not bright enough?
Great question! Thanks for asking this. So the salsa lights will be fine if you are in close proximity to the screen. @@ownyourmomentco thank you so much for this information. I’m so happy to found your Canva video as well. Have a good night 😁

Hi. Do you always have to stay the entire time when clients request PB with prints?

What kind of microphone was that?

I need to have a car/truck first 😂 before i can start a Photobooth.
A car yes, a truck not so much haha
My team have small vehicles and are able to transport everything!
Please show prep
