Almost all Japanese used to learn that “if we face an earthquake,” ①we should crouch (to save my head) ②we should enter under a table ③we should stop moving(not to die due to something to be falling) ④we should run away to higher place (not to suffer tsunami→in 3.11.,a lot of people in Tohoku died because of tsunami) We Japanese learn when we are students.(elementary school, junior high,high school and so on.)
Google Maps - 35°32'42.2"N 139°47'11.2"E - I'm pretty sure this is Gate #3, it's kind of hard to tell, but that's my best guess using the shape of the gate, number of tall poles in the background, fenced area with trucks, road that's slopes up behind the fence, the very wide shallow arch shapes seen in the background at 0:41 which look like the top of the tunnel openings for the road that travels under the taxiway, and last but not least, the white square painted on the ground that the ground-crewman is kneeling on is the only one I could find in the whole airport. This was a fun one to find, thanks for posting.

Did the tsunami hit this airport? I've seen planes floating in a few videos but do not really know where videos are except all up and down the coast. Regardless, hope you all were safe.
This video was taken onboard JAL B737-800 at Narita , Airport in Tokyo which located far away from devastated tsunami area. Airport that badly effected by the tsunami is Sendai Airport which many small planes and helicopters washed away by the tsunami.
The vast majority of Japanese people [of any age], display more style, class, morals, and all around common sense in every day, and emergency situations, than most all Americans do.

画面に終始映っている水色の作業着の職員。列島中がパニックになったあの地震発生時にもっとも正しい行動をとっている。さすが空港職員。 フライトアテンダントの案内放送もさすが。 見習いたい。
訓練されてるとはいい、CAの落ち着いた対応はすばらしい。
CAは機体に危険が迫っていても最後まで、「揺れても飛行には影響はございません。」と言い続けるから、地上で地震なんて・・・。

だからエマージェンシーとか出た時でも緊急事態ですって通告の上に乗客を安心させる文言を言うようになってる。
まさにこの時スカイマークに乗っていました。着陸直後、いつもより逆噴射が長いな〜と思っていたら、緊急停止し、地震のためとのアナウンス。落ち着いたアナウンスでしたよ。
地震直後に着陸すると滑走路上で緊急停止するんですね…

関東と東北の空港に着陸できなくなったから、全て行先変更(ダイバード)を余儀なくされて、被災していない地域や海外に向かったのですが、そこも飛行機が多くなりすぎて燃料ギリギリで着陸した飛行機もいたようです。
しかも自衛隊の基地に到着したひこうき飛行機は、機内で何時間も待たされたらしいです。
千歳にダイバードした国際線は9時間以上待機だったよ。
この世の地獄だったみたいですよ

この前の塗装が僕的にはJALのイメージ
大地震が起きても冷静さを失わない。日本人てほんとうに素晴らしいなとあらためて。
この時の地震の揺れは、今でもフラッシュバッグして来る時が在ります。
この地震発生時、自分は京急バスのポーターをしておりちょうど泊まり勤務の日に当たってい1タミB1のベンチに座りローソンで買って来たロールケーキを休憩で食べている時に発生しました。
当日は、この地震に依り一般路線バス、空港バス、リムジンバス、鉄道各社が泊まりまた雪混じりでとても寒い中タクシーに長蛇の列が出来朝までタクシーに乗る事も出来ない帰宅難民の方が大勢発生しました事は当時の空港従業員の一人として改めてお詫び致します。

関東も相当な揺れだったのに、案外、飛行機って揺れないものなんですね。座ってる作業員の方の冷静さが、機内をパニックから救ってるように見えます。
Enju Sakaki 津波でなきゃ飛行機は動かせないだろうし、左にあるあの車で飛行機を移動させてるので、自身じゃあビクともしないですよ。
Enju Sakaki キツい体勢での着陸でもキャビンへのダメージは極力低減できるように車輪のサスペンションをかなり柔らかめに作ってあります

この日はやっぱり忘れられない日です。大館でもめっちゃ揺れました。
冷静にアナウンスする客室乗務員に感動しました。どこかのテレビ局とは大違いですね。

羽田にも仙台空港のように津波が襲った場合の避難場所であったり被害状況って予測できてるんだろうか？
実は空では大騒ぎになってた。世界中から飛行機が日本に飛んできたんだけど、どこも閉鎖になって燃料は限られてるのにあっちこっちに回されて、そこらじゅうからエマージェンシーが飛び交ってたって。
1:55 こんなときでも、無事着陸する飛行機が。

この後、閉鎖される空港続出で、開いてる空港には着陸希望機が集中するし、ガス欠の危機に直面する便もあったそうですね。大地震が起きたら、数時間は出発送らせて、着陸空港やその周辺に異常ない事が確認されるまで飛ばないのが1番ですね。
やっぱ、日本人は冷静だ

全便欠航ですよ。
もちろん飛んでいた機材は(羽田上空をはじめとする)上空待機を命じられ、燃料が少ない機材は1番近い空港にダイバード(行き先変更)をし離陸した便についても各地方の空港に着陸させて日本の上空ほぼ空っぽになりました。
この時の日本航空がすぐに臨時便を出したことで
日本航空が生まれ変わり再建したことが証明される形となった。
稲盛氏の改革が大勢の人々の助けとなった。
