8:53 When you at least find 3 keys try best to go for sargam note keys and don't try any other keys... You will found your song. There may you have to use 1/2 off note. That's maximum used for a sad indian song.
I am just doing it by myself what all you said. I first learned 'Nigin' tune. Only 4 adjacent keys. Then I realised that combination could be played everywhere! Music is Mathematical! There are combination, repeatation, forward and reverse moves equally effective. Last week during night. I just sang the tune and tried to catch with black keys only. After sometimes I was successful to my surprise! Sometimes I was searching for note and it was just repeating the same key! So you have told everything I tried to learn myself by success and error. But you have to have patience. Thank you. It gives support from expert like you. 'Nagin' tune is catchy and easy to master, everybody likes it. Now I am learning ' Tore Man Darpan Kahaloge' It is very difficult! It is like a maths problem you solve during night till you get it right, may be at 1or 2 am.🤫😀. But there is pleasure of solving it and getting melody similar to song. I am still far away but will keep walking!
