Great video there mate. I have the 60062 and apart from the slight buzzing noise from the driveline. Everything else is fine although my 60062 will be a display model more than anything as I focus on BR era. The next models I want are 60097 and 60098 😊.
Hi, very good review of a great looking ultra detailed locomotive, I’m glad you didn’t have any major issues with your model, I’m sure most of the issues are down to assembly, lubrication issues are down to the training and individuals whom build them, I’ve seen another review where the slow running wasn’t a prototypical issue. I have a very good Hornby class 60 in my collection that I would like to upgrade the pcb to 21pin dcc connectivity one day as there is no cab or engine bay lighting and I would like to have them all working independently, I will wait until the next run to get a ultra detailed model or maybe look at Accurascale’s offering, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching mate. Overall certainly not much to complain about with these. Obviously not 100% perfect but then again no model is I suppose. Still a fan of Hornby’s model but not at the latest price. Best of luck with the upgrades on yours and hope the results are superb. Take care 👍
You are very welcome, I did upgrade my Bachmann class 46 in RTC livery, it’s now a 21pin model with factory specification lighting and cab lighting as well, all the parts were available from Bachmann spares who make Hornby spares look like that really bad toilet in ‘Train Spotting’ the movie, to be fair I’ve got models I can’t fault because there are zero issues, some were purchased for superb prices.
Love the sound of that locomotive. Problem is the same as accurascale with the class 66. I think you have to remove the body to get to fit a bumper that allows a NEM Hook
That's sounds superb just like my Steel to steel, Super quiet without sound on, But superb with sound, ps All your locos together reminds me of Vic Berry's scrap line yrs ago!
The sound file is excellent. As others have said the buffer beams are magnetic and just pull off. Very easy to swap and they locate easily. No screws, glue or body removal required
@fyfieldjunction then something that Accurascale needs to learn from as you have to remove the body with the Accurascale class 66s to put a full bumper on. That is extremely tricky thing to do
I totally agree there can't wait for the Accy 60's three on order 60033 the Steel blue limited one DCRail limited 055 and 60065 Jaguar. Yet again another excellent review there and glad yours is fine as my two are ,60001 Steadfast and 60062 Sonia. Did you recieve a limited edition certificate with it ? Enjoyed cheers Nick.
Always enjoy your reviews, nice one fella.
Thanks for watching bud. Much appreciated 👍
12:44 I like your reaction 😅

It’s magnetic so just pulls off

Mr MartinB has his 60 pulling 31 bogie tankers with no problem and could pull more, Take care.

Remember when people chat about price the old Bachmann cl 40 no details whatsoever retails at £280!
Bachmann certainly do charge a bit much for there models.
Ridiculous price Bachmann is so expensive these days, mind you the forthcoming Hornby 60's are around 30 quid more than Cavelex!
Hornby’s latest prices for the 60s is certainly nothing short of a rip off. Compared to the big boys the price of cavalex’s models aren’t too bad tbf.
