The Flyers can’t develop. Lappy doesn’t help. They need professional coaches not ex players.
Berkly Catton or Konsta Helenius is who I would want. Pair either one of them with Michkov and Tyson. That would be a well balanced line you have the size and dog mentality of Tyson with 2 elite playmaker/goal scorers.
I'm so tired of how most Flyers scouts have their DREAM PICKS at players 6 ft 2 to 6 ft 6 & 215+ lbs. But then in the next breath they have the Flyers probable picks at 5 ft 9 to sub -6 ft & around 175 lbs. Often the phrase ' talented but undersized' is used. Other teams don't seem to have that problem, but we almost always do.
Very few 215+ players that can skate and if there is hes probably in the top 5. Skating is much more important ever since they got rid of the 2 line pass and called obstruction penalties tighter. Thats why they also call those dream prospects.
Hopefully, Solberg would fall to 32 and would could get him.
If this a very deep draft for D then why get one early? If theres a run on D early they could use that to get an elite forward. Just look at what possibly happened with the eagles draft.

I'm not agree with you Russ at 12 you draft the talent and Syliaev he Will not a complete Defensemen, that kind of Defensemen you can find in a trade or later in the draft not good than Syliaev but easy to find ex: a Risto healty Brandon Carlo, Gustav Forslind, 🏒🤔
