    Merci beaucoup, vous m’avez sauvé mon S9. Un grand merci à votre patiente pour les explications détaillées. Tellement difficile de retirer le pare-choc

    My Roomba was behaving as if it was pressed against something, would only go backwards and go in circles. I took the entire thing apart, cleaned all of the contacts, and reassembled it. Now it works perfectly.
    Excellent video.

      I’m having the same exact issues. Did you clean all sensors and front bumper? Or pretty much everything inside the robot?

    My s9 is plagued with the error 31. I read that doing a deep clean of the connectors can help. My troubleshooting led me to think my issue was in the bumper.
    Thanks to your video, I was able to remove the bumper and dust it pretty well with a compressed air canister. What I was looking for was hidden wire bundles during the disassembly and you pointed them out every time, so I didn't rip them apart so thank you!
    Robot seems to be working better now.
    FYI your time stamps are a little off but thank you for providing them and the bumper is definitely in the front of the robot, you label it as "rear bumper".

    Thank you for this!
    iRobot sent me the wrong instructions and given they wanted me to fix this myself, I instantly brought up your video and went to town. I had to take the top off 3 times because I kept forgetting to do something, and the third time, go to so fed up, I ended up breaking the connector on the board. Doh! I'm hoping iRobot will either send a replacement board or let me buy it. Though, I might try my hand at surface mount soldering.

    So i have this unit and am receiving an error 9 message on the app. I just did everything in this video to take it apart and bend out the metal springs a bit thinking that may be the issue. Once i reassembled it's still doing the death spin. Should i just replace the front bumper entirely or is there something else i should be doing? Unit is just over a year old (just out of warranty) so surgery on it is entirely acceptable with me.

    I have a s9 with a failed bumper sensor. Based on your video, it appears the sensors are housed in the bumper itself (the part replaced). Is that correct? I have another s9 bumper to swap in, but I don't want to go through the effort of doing so if the sensors are located elsewhere (like on the board). I appreciate any help you can provide!

    Seems like this was answered in another thread, but do you have any suggestions for a faulty motherboard? My S9 will say it’s unable to connect after countless reboots and factory resets. Seems like I’m SOL.

    I have the tap bumper to unstick error but the bumper moves free and there isn’t any debris so probably a bumper assembly?

    • @brobots240
      @brobots240  ปีที่แล้ว

      Bumper assembly would be first thing to replace. If you replace with known and tested working bumper and it still doesn't solve the issue, it's most likely a motherboard issue.

    10:35 great advice to not remove the hinge axel and spring. Would have been great to provide that advice during the *disassembly* instructions. Made my reassembly about 8,000 times harder than it needed to be. 😢 (and to those who dont have an extra 4hrs to kill futzing with the hinge axel and spring: dont worry, it runs just fine without it. Just remove the spring and sleeve and reassemble the hinge arm and axel in the device before reattaching the cover plate.)

      Watching you can clearly see me not remove the Axle and spring during disassembly...Sorry it wasnt verbalized for you. These are one-take unedited videos to provide help , so they aren't always perfect.

    I ordered a replacement bumper assembly but the male connector is different. Has anyone had this problem or is there a difference in an S9 and S9+ bumper assembly?

    • @brobots240
      @brobots240  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is no difference in s9 s9+. But irobot makes rolling changes throughout production and sometimes things like that will be changed

    S9 error code number 9. Would you by chance know how to fix it

    • @brobots240
      @brobots240  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That code is for a stuck bumper. If your bumper is moving freely, the hall effect bumper sensors are not working properly either from a malfunction or one of the magnets may have something magnetized to them that doesn't belong.

    How do you fix error 31?

  • @rcano84
    @rcano84 ปีที่แล้ว

    How would you know the bumper needs to be replaced? The bumper looks fine and it moves freely, but I get the error that it need to be unstuck. I’m going to just take it apart and put it back and hope it works. Lol

    • @brobots240
      @brobots240  ปีที่แล้ว

      Most likely one of the magnetic sensors are bad if the bumper moves freely, but still experiences that error. If the bumper is replaced and the issue persists, it's most likely the main board at that point.

    • @brobots240
      @brobots240  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mifen_g4addicted There are no "bumper switches" on the S9 to get stuck like other iRobots...The S9 uses magnetic Hall Effect Sensors.

    Do a video on how to replace the motherboard please!

    • @brobots240
      @brobots240  ปีที่แล้ว

      The problem youll run into with just replacing the motherboard, is that you can't replace it with any other working S9 motherboard and have it work correctly (unless they are on the exact same firmware). The software updates will make boards and bot incompatible with each other, so youd have to find another motherboard that is on the exact same firmware.

    • @TheBuddyboy24
      @TheBuddyboy24 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brobots240 Thanks for the response. Good thing I didn't buy one. My S9 has been acting up doing some really spazzy glitchy movements. I'd like to fix it but I'm not sure what to replace. The motherboard just made sense to me but I don't think I'll be buying one now.

    • @brobots240
