Played this 13 years ago and would LOVE to play it again. Just heard this on the radio this evening as a choir piece called "Alleluia"! Lovely also for voice.
I miss my old director. He has always loved this piece, and i wanted to play it under his instruction for my whole high school career, but i am sad that i could not. Maybe in the future i could play this. I seriously hope so.

You know, this is the only recording I've found of this (including the ones with Mr. Whitacre conducting) where there aren't any sour notes or squeaking clarinets. You are to be commended, players!

My favorite band piece aside from An American Elegy, I played this in my sophomore year of HS and I’ll never forget it, I teared up at our concert during the most powerful moments and the recording still hits me really hard, I love this piece so much
