That would be shit because the point of 1JZ into any car is to take the strenght of a car (in the M3's case its handling) and add some reliability to the setup, dropping a shitty german engine in a japanese car would make no sense at all.

Let me know when you find something that isn't tuned beyond practicality that can do a quarter mile in < 5 seconds. Neither an M3 engine or a 2JZ could possibly pull something like that without being completely fucked afterwards or not useable.

You could build about 3 2JZ's for the price that's going to cost to build a good S54, and you would still have to get the block CRYO treated and sleeved and WPC treated crank, by then it's already around 4k just on the block, and you still have to do the head and turbo and manifold, but I would still choose the S54.

I do agree 2jzs are used everywhere, but they do sound excellent in their own right, and provide a similar experience to BMW's inline 6 engines. At the end of the day, maintenance is a big part of drifting, and most teams don't want to spend their funds on pricey engine rebuilds.
Seen supercharged ones with original engines with more power, cross breeding sucks, especially taking a BMW power plant, if you can't afford to mod a BMW don't buy one. This car needs to burn.
