I love how everyone is bitching about the M3's S65 V8 engine sound. It sounds NOTHING like an LSx, Modular Ford, or Hemi engine in the least as they sound WAY more aggressive than this car does.
If only they could drive as aggressively as an M3....but then again you buy an American car so you can rev it in your garage but you take the M3 to the track!
javarithms Even though a 5.0 can keep up with an E92 m3 on the track! and for $30k less...or you can pay $40k for a Boss302 and wreck the m3 on the track...or for the same price as that e92 m3 you can get a corvette and wreck it once again :) The Camaro ss 1le can be had for $36k or so and would absolutely destroy an m3 on the track as well (look at motortrend's videos), it's right behind a Ferrari 458 lol
Barkin Inci You're not even close. This is an S65 V8 from BMW when it's built up heavily for racing and a Coyote 5.0 or any LSx engine with the same done would sound MUCH more beefy and aggressive. Look up the Hennessey C7 600 HP Vette build they did. Much more nastier than this.

isnt drifting essentially skating on the tires of the car? Accelerating so fast that they lose traction but you still remain in control? Also thats why only 2wd cars can do it efficiently.

Probably the 244ci/4Liter S65 V8 stroked out. Can't exactly say of the mods though.
Supercharged bmw s65 v8 engine. Puts out more than 600 horsepower. If you ask me, it's not that much for a supercharged v8.
Yeah but BMW's S65 V8 is meant to be big in efficiency rather than big in power like most other V8s.
Still, it could have a bit more power (like 700 hp). Nevertheless, it's a great motor, especially when revving to 8000 - 9000 rpm.
