This sermon was recommended by a friend and it does have wisdom to it. It is appropriate to situations I am going through due to living with some scorners.
The Bible speaks plenty about scorners (narcissists), and has helped me to know how to deal with them. I also feel sorry for those scorners, especially because they claim to be Christians.

@42:55 "What is the secret of a 50 year lasting marriage? She looked at me & said 'Pastor, I've never tried to change him'" Well, In the case if a husband who constantly loves to spend time sharing the Word of God alone with other women on the phone or in person, but his wife doesn't like him doing that, would the same principle of 'I've never tried to change him' still give both of them a 50 year happy lasting marriage?

I love your style of preaching. I have a question: you said people who are hurting they are hurt people.. what can i do for myself if the man i love is hurting me with his words knowing he hurts me on purpose???
I am a very emphatic person but his way of doing to me, every time i get shocked... so if he is hurting me, i have got hurt feelings! I can be considerate about him...but what if he is not considerate about me??!! I can try to let it loose...but my feelings are so hurt by it. What do i do with that ! I have needs too?! I am to kind, try not people walk over my bounderies, always place myself in others shoes... but i want to protect myself for hurtfull attitudes!
So what do you advice me to do with those hurt feelings.? It is there, i cant avoid them. And it makes me very sad..
    Greetings from The Netherlands

@@lizfrancis6202 we were together for more then 10 years. After 13 we still have contact, but in difficult way. When i met him he was the love of my life.. after 5 years in 2011 he lost his mother and few months later got involved with drugs. A colleage introduced him with extacy etc. Got more and more. Drinking also more and more. Last 3 years cocaine and whole bottles of whisky... since 2011 i had serious talks with him. One day he came with me to a clinic. Talking psychiatric..didnt want to go in the clinic for a few weeks. So had every week a meeting with someone. After 5 month he stopped, said didnt helped. Until 2017 after a incedence with his older daughter he stopped relationship. In last 1,5 year came regular at my door. Before too relation goes on, then threw me away scared for his daughter. Probably he cant let me go ...and i cant too. He us scared to loose his children. They are growen ups 18, 23, 27. Living at their mothers. All the talks i had with him like you are an growen up man!!! Of 47!! Your kids has nothing to say who you are seeing... you decide with who you got a relationship etc... plus all the effort i put in talks or strategies forcing him to get help!!! Not letting him in until after few weeks you have a week moment to let him in for a talk.. for monts almost a year i stayed strong not having sex..until one day you give in because i loved him so much and missed him. Next day regretted it i was not strong enough... this december i was determend to stop it all!!! Said go to your docter to get a letter for clinic!! Otherwise you not coming in anymore!! New year i dont want this stress anymore...only positive things.. . Say he d ont want to do that, he wants to do it himself to skip the drinks and drugs. But he is gone to far with it....thinks he can do it himself... just on the old/new year day, when i was ofcourse stressed, he send me a message do you want to do tonight together... .. so i did. When he was my house, i felt ackward... uncomfertable. So strong even i wished i didnt say yes. Later on it got a bit better... at some point i wanted to say someting about us and he said not to do this for one night! Just to enjoy it beeing together....
Next day he went home... and i was to confused and tired to think about the situation... i know i love him....but he is not himself anymore...caused by his condition. Then the resend feelings i feel too like i have to quit and start a new life, but i know an other day if time i want to hold him. He is ill and needs help to recover. In the meantime i am ill aswell due to his behaviour and grieve..... certain days i am growing stronger...then long him how he was when i met him. But i know he is not like that anymore. But i wish and pray that God help him and me, that he knows he has to get and take help. That God is going to change him... and i get strong enought to let it go until God can di his work on him. It is a big battle, with a lot of grieve. But i got still difficulties to cut off...the man i love so dearly, the man who is the love of my life, but sometimes so diggusted by too! Caused by his behaviour cause he is very sick.... i pray every day...but it is difficult to let him and the love go....

Maybe because i was upset thinking again with new year on my own!... i gave in when he wrote a message: do you want to tonight together? Early in evening. I decided for my own sake to let him come new years eve. But i didn't felt so good as i was thinking...it felt i did something wrong now...i couldn't say i change my mind when he was here, to send him away.... but he was really trying to make a mens. He said ofcourse, he stops with everything, like always new year. So...if he does not, i pick it up again and di not let him in again until he goes to the clinic. It was a pity christmas and new year came to intervent. It was a battle inside myself too. Especially around that time! But soon i will know in january what he is up to. But i know he cannot do it on his own.... he needs to see it himself then he needs help by going inside the clinic. We have talked about it many times. He has a false shame to go inside. For people at work, his children... i said, they know it already for long time you have this problem! They will be happy to see you doing this, like me too. Or i say you loose your job... or one day you get your kidneys, liver fall out. Or a hart attack! Or Korsakov ! I have been speaking with him often. He loose weight, rarely cook... one day he listen to me and went to doctor to test his blood. He had lack of vit.D. not more i said? I could not believe that was the only lack of vit.! Begin of december he got namonia, do i spell it right? Cough infection of the lungs. Then i said you see!! If you get the flu right now you can die of it!!! It is so bad...and he knows it his condition is bad... it breaks my hart he is so ill!! Ofcourse by his own doing. He is trapped by his addictions...
Soon he has to do something! Me for certain! ' cause i am tired and worn out by it... i do feel mentally getting stronger during time and prayers. I have to give it to God...force myself to let him go...atleast for a time, but to cut him off is so hard and it feels unnatural going in to my own feelings to do that. But around that time i HAVE to do that! For his sake and surely mine. Maybe...then he wakes up! I have to care about me...my own health. I hope God will help...

Pastor Warren, starting about 38:45… "Fools are judgmental, Wise people are merciful." Yes. But, doesn't God judge us? Hmm…how do we reconcile this?

+schtuke I think that just God judgmental, this work is not for the man

+Gabriel Cruz understandable, but if judgement is for God and not men, why not Mercy also? Perhaps he could clarify what he means by "judging". Jesus says in John 7:24 "stop judging according to outward appearance; rather judge according to righteous judgment" God is the ultimate judge and will pass the final judgement, but Jesus tells us Mt 7:16, we will recognize others by their fruits - that means we must judge. 2 Tim 2:25 says we should "instruct others with gentleness" - that can only be done by first judging.
