  • This message is part 2 of “How to Deal with How You Feel” in the series Transformed.
Pastor Rick Warren talks about how God can transform your emotional health by learning how to understand our emotions and how to manage unwanted feelings. You don't have to believe everything you think and you don't have to believe everything you feel. When you give your heart to Jesus, that includes your emotions. Learn how God can help you manage them.

When we know Jesus our feelings and emotions cannot be troubled as there is no more fear of the world. It is impossible not to feel joy unspeakable full of glory when we get anointed in the Holy Spirit and fire. I have no more anxiety or depression as those are demonic oppression.

When a General of Christ is taken from our Christian view and is ill. In the warfare, you are missed. I sorely miss your presence and voice in our world of chaos and oppression. I pray God, heal your body and bring your voice back to the frontline. God bless you, Pastor Rick.❤

Can I ask if anyone here has harboured deep hurt and resentment from a betrayal of someone close to you? How did you drop that emotion? I know Jesus wouldn't resent someone no matter how deep the hurt, and therefore I should drop that negative emotion. How? Is it a daily struggle? The pain is real. The fear that they will hurt you again is real. I want so much to love this person again and move forward, but I also feel like dropping it and not raising again is either going to breed more resentment or feed my fear that I will be hurt again. Yet, I know to raise it will not serve me - I want us to move forward and stop harping on the same issues.

We have the same situation, Everyday i am doing my best to drop the negative emotion but my other me is still in pain, I am also afraid that I will be hurt again. Communication and compromise are the key for this but if only one person wants to tackle this it will be extremely difficult, I am just assuming that person is not yet ready or comfortable to talk things out. I will not give up on that person no matter what. Give that person more time, be patient and take it slow. Loving someone is really a sacrifice. Pray hard for yourself and that person.

So why are there so many religions all claiming their unique route to God? The answer is that they are all man-made fairy tales mostly written in an age when world literacy was low and the knowledge of science, mathematics and the universe was much less than it is today. Even today we know very little about it, but enough to debunk many of these so-called religious myths.
There is obviously a creative force at work which is beyond human comprehension. Everything in our world is finite; it must have a beginning; and end; a boundary. We cannot grasp the concept of infinity which underlines our insignificance in the universe. So why do most religions try to imagine God/Gods as super-human(s), living up there in the sky somewhere? Absolutely ridiculous.
Did you realise that the first Christian bible was published 400 years after Christ’s death? All the multifarious stories were passed along by word of mouth. No one knew anything about Christ until he was 30 years old and 3 years later, he was crucified. All the stuff about 3 wise men, being born in a stable, a guiding star, Angels coming down and all of the other tales are man-made fairytales.
For humans, love is natural and has no boundaries or human control. We all look for love, and when it comes it is magic, irrespective of gender. Hate is taught.
