Hi Jack, you can get your class A cdl with an airbrake restriction. This is geared towards people towing crazy big fifth wheels. You can take the driving test in your pickup/trailer combo. Then you can tow all you want with your pickup
yah, throw that fuel tank in the pickup bed, fill it up and then throw the trailer on the back with the skidsteer and now your really flirting with 27k lbs, let alone 26k
You are probably getting a cdl, but just to be safe please get it , your a nice guy and I do not want to see anything bad happen to you. Thanks for the video and remember” everything happens for a reason”
Where I'm hauling equipment we are required to use 2 chain's at the front and 2 at the rear along with one over the attachment. This to prevent forward, rearward, lateral and vertical movements. For me I would rather have to much than not enough.
Hey Jack! I think with that fuel tank I would buy a cheap 4x8 trailer and mount it to it so that way from can haul it to get fuel vs 1 having it delivered to you or 2 having to fill it up 5 gal at a time.
Me being a 35 years OTR driver. I never heard anything about cant get your CDL license for these violations. Yes they can fine you for not having a CDL for exceeding the weight and not have a D.O.T number and suspending you license for a certain length of time. But having a CDL is great just in case it happens again. But there a lot more you would have to do once you get a CDL . Just make sure when you get them you get a complete psychical and a psychical card . This you must have because when you take a psychical and a drug and alcohol test and past. You have to register it to your CDL within 24 hours. If not they can automatically suspend you license. But make sure you keep the card on you at all times. Also on chaining down equipment its good to have four binders. Two in front and two on the back crisscross them and you wont have problems at of D.O.T. Raither be safe than sorry. Having a CDL can be great. But it comes with a lot of B.S to. I enjoy watching your videos and you builds. Even though I can't watch them when you do release them because I'm working at that time. But I eventually get around to watch them during my breaks or getting loaded or unloaded. Oh by the way the Pennsylvania D.O.T are just about one of the toughest next to California on finding problems and writing tickets for commercial violations. But they are just doing their jobs to make sure we are doing ours. See you on the next video.
I can't go back that far in video's!! But Jacob & you were testing driving a big dually Kodiak truck & doing donuts in some field!!! That's the 1st time you introduced Jacob to the channel.
I’m surprised combination registration wasn’t mentioned. Technically you’re truck needs a combination registration for the combined weight of truck and trailer. In PA you’re probably looking at $500-600/year registration renewal fee.
You could try spraying the side wall, or spraying the valve. It is uncommon to leak there but it does happen, It may also be that the wheel itself is cracked as it is a low profile tire and large wheel.
Quick story. It's 2010 and my dads company went under and we were moving to Montana. My dad had a big rig and 2 moving vans. Private registration, no CDL. We get stopped at every port and every time the DOT cop tells my dad he needs a CDL. My dad says no I don't, this is private and CDL is a "commercial" statute and is not applicable to a private driver. 3 ports, 3 different cops, 3 hours stopped at the scales. Every time the cop got his supervisor on the phone, the supervisor finally says my dad is right and let's us go. Do with that information what you will.
Get a fuel permit if you have cdl and are tagged at 26000 pounds then you can pull as long as you don’t go over the weight rating your truck / trailer combination can tow
4 point tie down and a strap on the boom when hauling equipment you take the weight of the machine and you have to cover half the weight with chains and binders so 4 binders and 2 20ft 3/8 grade 70 transport chains with hooks on both ends you take the chain and go threw the tie down and hook chain to it’s self then hook one end of the bind to a link of the chai and other hook to the chain rail and do that all 4 corners
Need to look up the binder regulations. Wheels or tract machines weighing 10,000’s or more require 4 tightening devices. Skidsteers don’t weight 10g but it does show you go above and beyond
CDL-A license isn’t too difficult to get in Pa, especially if you go to a good school. Just make sure the school has manuals so you don’t get hit with that E restriction 😉
Put it under farm use. If you have over 5 acres in Kansas you can tow whatever you want to whatever weight you want with a truck without air breakers in the state of ks. You getting a ticket is bull shit
It's not required but a good professional idea to have a fire extinguisher if you're hauling fuel withthatset up......and 100 gallon or more needs placards. And then your in a different window all together.
It's a trap. Seriously, dont talk to police. You caused the ticket. NOW you get your CDL and do exactly the same thing and guess what? You dont get a no CDL ticket, you get a NO DOT NUMBER TICKET AND NO 1 MILLION DOLLAR COMMERCIAL INSURANCE TICKET. Next time it's your truck, your trailer and your cargo. Not my company, and I'm giving the cargo away........ you where warned. PA doesn't f around.
Dirty Max you are wrong. If the combination of the truck and it's equipment inside the truck and the trailer with cargo does not exceed 26,000 lbs. you don't need a CDL or med card. ( to make it more simple the truck and trailer and all the contents of truck and cargo with trailer does not exceed 26,000 lbs.) but if you use it as a business you need a DOT Number and under the DOT number it states 26,000 lbs. for truck trailer and all of it's contents.
10,001 LBS or more in Cali makes it a CDL requirement. Jack you may want to hurry and get your CDL, the new law requiring truck driving school before you get a CDL. Because of COVID-19 it’s been delayed so you can pass the written test to get you permit and rent a truck and trailer, if you want, for your skills testing. That’s how I got mine, and you have plenty of practice with your gooseneck.
Word of advice for the fuel tank- distinguish the difference between "on road" and "off road" diesel, and stay away from the urge to put "off road" diesel in your truck. DOT will introduce you to a new way to test your diesel fuel by dropping a tampon in the fuel tank on your truck...
when hualing the skidd steer you should have binders on all 4 corners I used to do logging and its how I hualed anything was a binder on all four coners
You're right. Anything over 10,000 lbs needs a chain on each corner plus over any hydraulic attachment. The 259 might not be that heavy though...if not he will be legal with he's doing. If it was me I'd do the 4 corners though. You won't be sorry when an idiot t-bones your rig and the skid steer stays firmly on the trailer!
Shouldve checked the valve stem. Mine has a rubber grommet inside of the cap and it got sideways somehow and pressed on the valve stem a little and would release the air. Also had another that had a little dirt between wheel the stem meets the wheel and if i washed it and bumped it, it would start leaking as well.
I went on vacation the week before you did, and I feel you on the vehicle coming back dirty. I had my family ride spotless and after being away for a week with 2 kids its came back totally trashed...
Get your CDLs in 5 weeks or less 🤷🏻 might as well go for it to get it done an not worry. Just gotta know your pretrip, how to back an drive without hitting anything lol
It’s not good to drive with a low tire. You’re putting stress in and it could damage the inside of the tire by having rubber on rubber contact if it gets that low. Those super duty call for 65psi all around or 65 in the front and 80 in rear. Just wanted to say that to you. If you have a discount tire I would go there. It’s free of charge unless it’s not safe to repair and drive on.
Look up officer Hoover. He’s been on with Dirt Perfect and Tractor Time with Tim. He runs through the Federal CDL regulations in several videos…very informative
DUrrrrtymax jack I love watching your channel alot every day u are awesome TH-camr keep making awesome videos on your channel say safe and healthy with your family i hope this will get better soon tell your wife she is pretty on your channel alot 😀
I've had my CDL for almost 9 years. Why wouldn't you be able to get a CDL in the future if you were found guilty on that ticket? I don't think I heard that before. Also, that's cool a civilian knows about chains and binders! Haha
If the dry weight of that trailer is 2500 lbs with mega ramps I would be scared to look underneath at the frame, the competitions trailers are almost double the dry weight.
In ny if you were that weight they try an make you say you were towing for work I just tell em if personally it’s my equipment an trailer for my house when you throw DOT numbers on then they will hit you have having no CDL because of weight an that’s just how NY is so I never tow with my company trucks fortunately I have local family members who have a CDL worst case
Keep in mind what that cop told u is for a cmv not a personal vehical according to federal law idk what pa law says but federal law only puts them rules on cmvs
You could decide to do some hot shot trucking with a dually later so you might want to get a CDL down the road... especially if something happens with TH-cam money
crazy about the fine glad they dropped it. that should have been the solution they gave you from the start to try and make it right not fine you and potentially take away your ability to get what you need to be legal.
The first video I saw Jake in was when you were on the dirt track with your minimax with Gavin from itsjustasix. But idk if that was the first video he was in.
"we are gunna fill it with beer" that's the funniest shit I herd all day
Hi Jack, you can get your class A cdl with an airbrake restriction. This is geared towards people towing crazy big fifth wheels. You can take the driving test in your pickup/trailer combo. Then you can tow all you want with your pickup
That’s very interesting! I’ll need to look into that. For the future.
Yup facts right there
Jack: That doesn't mean I'm going to get a big rig tomorrow!
Future Jack: Get your entries to DDG XXXVIII This 2021 Peterbilt!!
@BigSean Thanks! I knew it looked wrong but couldn't place how! 😅
Long nose 2021 389 😆 or older 379/359?? 🤔 KW900! 🧐
😂😂😂😂
Ripping DONUTS in GUY FIERE’s KODIAK DURAMAX on 47’s!
March 12, 2020
That fuel cell is so you can keep in your truck 🤣 if you leave it on the property still gonna have to fill it with the 5 gallon jugs 🤣🤣
He can load it and unload it with the skid steer
yah, throw that fuel tank in the pickup bed, fill it up and then throw the trailer on the back with the skidsteer and now your really flirting with 27k lbs, let alone 26k
Depending if he wants to run off-road fuel but a lot of people run number two heating oil which they'll deliver
You are probably getting a cdl, but just to be safe please get it , your a nice guy and I do not want to see anything bad happen to you. Thanks for the video and remember” everything happens for a reason”
With the chain and binders. Always have them pulling away from each other. But thank you for explaining the GVWR I really appreciate it
One correction: once you exceed 26,000lbs a cdl is required. At 26,001 lbs you need a CDL.
Might different per state
whodatwhodatwhodat federal law. I am a cdl holder and a truck driver.
Caught that also
whodatwhodatwhodat nope that’s federal
whodatwhodatwhodat nope that’s federal

All 4 corners got a binder when hauling then loader and bobcat
Hey Jack! I think with that fuel tank I would buy a cheap 4x8 trailer and mount it to it so that way from can haul it to get fuel vs 1 having it delivered to you or 2 having to fill it up 5 gal at a time.
Yea or just keep it on his truck
He can load it and unload it with the skid steer

Was it that big f650 video? Or whatever that yellow thing was?
I can't go back that far in video's!! But Jacob & you were testing driving a big dually Kodiak truck & doing donuts in some field!!! That's the 1st time you introduced Jacob to the channel.

Hmmmm that title is interesting
Thought it was your video 🤣
Same I thought it was yours lol
I feel so bad for dmaxryno hope his house and everyone else is safe
Quick story.
It's 2010 and my dads company went under and we were moving to Montana.
My dad had a big rig and 2 moving vans.

Do with that information what you will.
Glad you got that straight, you don't want to mess with your license.

If you buy fuel for delivery and dont have a tank, typically they will give you one. Usually 300 to 1000 gal
The first one I remember was AAAALLLL the way back with DDG1. But I don't recall if there was anything earlier. Great videos Jack!
CDL-A license isn’t too difficult to get in Pa, especially if you go to a good school. Just make sure the school has manuals so you don’t get hit with that E restriction 😉
As a guy who hauled Flatbed keep those chain binders oiled up ( I used Crown Oil) they seize up bad if not kept oiled up. Good luck
I have my CDL license lemme know when you need someone to make the big moves👌🏽🤷♂️
That blue ram though in the back
Im trying to get into hotshot trucking and this is was super helpful
Put it under farm use. If you have over 5 acres in Kansas you can tow whatever you want to whatever weight you want with a truck without air breakers in the state of ks. You getting a ticket is bull shit
Can't wait for another hat to come in I ordered , just love the quality of the products even the detailing supplies
It's not required but a good professional idea to have a fire extinguisher if you're hauling fuel withthatset up......and 100 gallon or more needs placards. And then your in a different window all together.

Next time it's your truck, your trailer and your cargo. Not my company, and I'm giving the cargo away........ you where warned. PA doesn't f around.
"We're gonna fill it with beer" lmfao 🤣🤣
Jack I say you should get a single cab obs to keep the fuel cell in and use it as a work truck for the homestead
Dirty Max you are wrong. If the combination of the truck and it's equipment inside the truck and the trailer with cargo does not exceed 26,000 lbs. you don't need a CDL or med card. Jack if you going get a DOT physical card you can tow more weight and a longer trail You don't have to get A CDL just a DOT physical card
Dude the gym shorts and boots look is epic 😂😂
Ryan Mayer style
I hope you Put that fuel tank in the 2020 🔥
I’m waiting to buy for the dream diesel 13, want that Ford!!
I dont know if it is different from state to state but any trailer over 10,001lbs requires a CDL

Alumiduty's missing some components are one the best sounding diesels ever
I agree but there’s just something about a Cummins too
Jack, if I’m not mistaken you will need a federal medical card to cross state lines if your combination is greater than 10,001 and less than 26,001.
You can always de-rate that trailer to bring it in line under the GVWR of both truck and trailer.
Hello mate. Even though you derated your registration,im not sure if DOT goes by the door sticker GVWR or your registration.
I went on vacation the week before you did, and I feel you on the vehicle coming back dirty. I had my family ride spotless and after being away for a week with 2 kids its came back totally trashed...
There's no way ur gooseneck trailer weights 2500lbs. My 25ft pj gooseneck trailer is 6000lbs empty I put it on the scales.
I was thinking the same thing 6000 +12000 is 18000 and he is going to be way over his derated trailer rating
Actual weight doesn't matter, it's the max vehicle weight rating plus the max trailer weight rating.
Hey jack check the valve core on the tire there usually the problem when you cant fine a hole in the tire
Love all your videos jack keep up the hard work and I wanna to Ask if you can do with video on the 6.7 powerstrok toy hauler The red one!!!😃😃😃
Get your CDLs in 5 weeks or less 🤷🏻 might as well go for it to get it done an not worry. Just gotta know your pretrip, how to back an drive without hitting anything lol
dont you have to double clutch? thats my issue lol
Brad Schaefer that’s really not hard to learn but they make automatics an semi autos 🤷🏻
Unless you work for swift.
I got mine in 2 weeks
Lol jamberbrain does it again fill it with beer 🍺 too funny 😂 hey brotha your tire might be leaking from the rubber valve stem
Check inner side wall, might of got a big ol thorn from property?
You ever gonna change your antenna for the .50 call ones you get?
Chains and binders have working load limits and your chain and binders must be adequate to the weight of what your haulin
Check the valve stem itself, could be leaking around the base of the rim or the valve is loss
Quick note. Put the tank on a skid and use the skid steer to load and unload it into the bed of a truck.
Look up officer Hoover. He’s been on with Dirt Perfect and Tractor Time with Tim. He runs through the Federal CDL regulations in several videos…very informative
Might wanna check either the backside of the tire or the valve stem for that there leak 🤔
Good info Jack a lot of people don't know and what's weirder Every state is different
Is it $10k or the $20k in the description? Asking for a friend!
Description "2019 Limited + $20k! Ends 913b🎟🥇"
10k
Love your videos man!! Look forward to each video!!
How did you de-rate your trailer after you bought it? Dealer told me you can’t if you don’t ask when you’re buying it.
DUrrrrtymax jack I love watching your channel alot every day u are awesome TH-camr keep making awesome videos on your channel say safe and healthy with your family i hope this will get better soon tell your wife she is pretty on your channel alot 😀
You should get a 115v AC transfer pump so you can plug it into a wall outlet instead of using a car battery.
I've had my CDL for almost 9 years. Why wouldn't you be able to get a CDL in the future if you were found guilty on that ticket? I don't think I heard that before. Also, that's cool a civilian knows about chains and binders! Haha
I like the idea of filling it with beer more than diesel!!😂
turns a cricket into an ad lmao
Loving the videos. That limited is sweet.
“We’re gonna fill it with beer” On a property like that? Good times I bet!!
OK GUYS,,,,, (8:21). Ya just cant hide the beautiful MEGACAB....in the video......
JUST SAY'N...
Haha. I suggested a transfer tank , may be a good idea to put it in the Denali
Are the foam canons ever going to be available?
Hey the tire might be leaking from the beed or the stem just something to check 🤷🏻♂️
In Manitoba Canada we need a cdl for anything above 4540 kg so 10000 lbs
Check your valve stem on that leaking tire. Its not uncommon for those "smart" stems to leak
it means a lot jack, i'm a firefighter myself and i would like to thank for your appreciation.
So now you fill the tank with 5 gallon jugs and then fuel the machine?????😂
Lol my thoughts exactly i dont think he understands what a transfer tank is for
pay a fuel truck to bring red dye diesel to ur property... it’s cheaper than buying from a pump
Missed cleaning montages!
Question please answer if know I got weighed tag 10 thousand V8 Colorado long as I stay under 10 thousand ??
Good to know! Thanks for sharing!
New t shirt idea. Jake standing next to a truck saying we gonna fill this with beer.
You could decide to do some hot shot trucking with a dually later so you might want to get a CDL down the road... especially if something happens with TH-cam money
Also the air leak could be from a leaking bead maybe the person who put the tires on didn't bead it properly
crazy about the fine glad they dropped it. that should have been the solution they gave you from the start to try and make it right not fine you and potentially take away your ability to get what you need to be legal.
I saw you Saturday going through Va I knew it was your truck from a mile away 😂
You don’t need cdl base on the stickers. Is base on what the truck towing capability is. Go can fight it.
If you don’t are over 26000. Real weight.
CDL isn't only semis well as you can tell its on towing weight.
I do recall seeing jake with a camera on the DDG1 video!
The first video I saw Jake in was when you were on the dirt track with your minimax with Gavin from itsjustasix. But idk if that was the first video he was in.
Hey jack can u do a 7.3L powerstroke yet
Jake needs to do some upgrades to his truck!!!
Check the value stem if you can't find it in the tire
