"There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur, or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. We repeat: There is nothing wrong with your television set. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to... The Outer Limits."
The luster on coins can easily cause a person to over-grade it. If there are too many scratches in the fields that can lower the grade. Then there are dates and mints where Morgan dollars are weakly struck. I find the 1795 Flowing Hair dollar one of the most difficult to grade. It's often weakly struck depending on the die variety. I usually assume when I see an old Anacs holder that the coin it in is probably not worth cracking out as it's either over-graded, cleaned, or has another problem. It takes experience like you have to know if a crack out is worthwhile.
Hi, Ben. I wouldn't say I like the hits on the eagle's breast on the 03-O Morgan for an MS65, especially on a high-dollar coin. You got some nice upgrades. Thanks.
I'm going to boost your ego for a moment. You're far from a loser. You have one of the best,if not the best numismatic channels, your shop is badass, and a good family man.👍
So what does PCGS see on the 3 Cent piece that they designate it as cleaned? I have said this before but it seems to me there is a problem if a dedicated collector or a coin shop owner who sends in a large number of coins can not see the "cleaning" that the grading companies see. Is it poor education? Different lighting? As much money as many of us spend with the grading companies I believe they have an obligation to do whatever is necessary to get everybody on the same page. Maybe we need to "Bud Light" NGC and PCGS until they make an effort. I don't mind if they call my coins Details as long as I know exactly why they did that. Maybe I would have chosen not to spend the money to have it graded.
Wow the toning on those buffaloes are so beautiful - wow!
Good ole soapboxes coming through with nice crackouts!
Love the 1913 Buffalo and the 1903-O Morgan!
64 to 66+, now that's not something I see everyday.
Holy moly Mr Geek! Very nice - except for that trime! Nice nice coins

Beautiful coin 👍👍
PS - the 66+ Buff has a price guide of $575. That’s very well north of $300.
Wow. 64 to 66+. That is impressive. Before the grade reveal I was thinking 65 or 66. Very nice looking coin.
Thanks for priming the pump, Ben.
well yay ANACS !!
Thanks for the video!

Clean cheek always outweighs the eagles breast

Surprised nobody mentioned the doubled profile on the 1913 Buffalo.....that's even cooler than the awesome upgrade it got.....
“I’ll be your dope if you know what I mean” that has to be an original Ben one liner. 😂 (daily dopamine hit)
Blinded by the light!
I feel for you Ben. That's the kind of luck I normally have when submitting my coins. 😅
1903 O is epic!

THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR CRACKING SOAP BOXES. Those are the coolest holders by far and the most underrated. Mistake to crack them imo
Really nice group of coins, Ben (save for one).
Nice coins and upgrades, how is the 3 cent piece cleaned? It looks natural to me.
Can anyone see why the trime got a details grade? Nothing screamed cleaned to me, perhaps just a bit of light circulation.
Sorry Ben, but when you lose, your videos win.
I'm no good at judging.buffalo nickels . Have to look at the reverse to get close on condition.
*FIRST*
soap dish holder ben soap dish not soapbox.
